This was just as much the old crew remembering the bridge of their old ship as it was the actors reminiscing the set of the show that made them household names.

It’s like seeing someone you were once in love with once, 30 years later. I was 10 when the show came out and it was instantly my favourite show of all time. I was never a big fan of them making the E a damn warship. That isn’t what the enterprise ever was. She is meant to be the big regal lady and that is exactly what the D always was. There was a reason this show was always the number one rated show on TV. Thank you Terry for giving me an hour of pure enjoyment.

To be fair, the threat of the Borg demanded a warship. Especially after Wolf 359.

Very emotional. Season 3 was a worthy ending of TNG after the weak first two seasons. Seeing the 1701 D and hearing the iconic soundtrack gave me goosebumps. This show literaly changed my life. Back then in my early teenage years I was about to get on a wrong path, my grades in school went to shit, I didn't care for anything. This show showed me the beauty of science, astronomy and philosophy. Years later I went to university. TNG is a major reason to get me back on track.

TNG did something for me, too, at that point in my life. Hard to put into words. But seeing that bridge come back to life was pretty powerful.

My aunt got me into Star Trek as was a huge Trekkie. She would let me stay up way past my bedtime to watch TNG when she babysat me. Unfortunately she passed a week before this episode aired. Seeing the Enterprise D resurrected broke me. In a way it was like she reach down from heaven for one last ride as the our Beloved Enterprise D got. ❤

The fact that Picard asks Geordi the permission, even as an admiral himself, because its Geordi's space dock and ship he's been maintaining, is superb direction and attention to detail of the whole star trek ethics, humility of the crew and how respectful they are to each other.

This scene is high on the scale of 1 to OMG!!! Enterprise-D was just as much a legendary lady as both of Kirk’s Enterprises from years before. And the fact that she goes on to successfully and single-handedly beat down the Borg despite her advanced age says a lot about her greatness.

I've watched every episode of tng eleventy million times but this still had me bawling like a child, my enterprise, my crew, my salvation. Trek has always got me through my darkest times, it is quite simply the best of us. Sent shivers down my spine when "the fat one" left the docking bay, turned and warped to save the galaxy one last time.

I think the best thing was that even though the D was destroyed we all knew what was coming but that didn’t take anything away from this truly beautiful moment, not just in universe but it was beautiful conceived, shot and acted to perfection. I can’t see anything ever topping it.

Even now ive seen this scene a thousand times or more. Deanna bollocking Worf was just hillarious. Geordi bringing her out of sight to secretly repair and return THE Enterprise (look as much as we could argue all day long, we secretly know this is the Enteprise everyone has thought of for years when just the name is dropped) back to her glory after what was a sucker punch attack to put her down....and it still didnt keep the old girl down. When the lights came up in the bay first time....i was half expecting the D to power up to welcome them home. And given how epic the music and way she powers up near the end im kinda glad she does stay dormant, as if shes only expecting to be shown off.....to later wake up realising shits gotten serious, and is the last functional Enteprise....let alone Federation starship that cant be compromised. Its like the Entperise herself is aware of the danger. And just wants to show off for a few seconds outside the Museum feeling open space on her hull for the first time as a functional ship since Veridian. Before jumping bow first once again into the breach for what i could call outdoing Star Wars at their own fly through sequence 😈. Also...and this is just personal here not a criticism of Terry M's absolutely epic work on Picard...but i honestly thought the season would end with a "ahhhh gotcha!" With Geordi and Riker having Jean Luc think the old girl was being preserved only to have her appear in Spacedock as the "New" Enteprise replacing the F as she was by a year later going to have been completely restored (and secretly updated to 2402 specs) ready for service after saving the Galaxy yet again.

She is a thing of beauty. After all the dimly lit starship bridges on this series to accent its darker tone, the bright lights of the resurrected Enterprise-D speak of hope and optimism, just as she did on TNG.

OMG, they really pulled everything out of the bag! The entire senior staff!! The ships!!!! The Enterprise D!!!!! I would be lying if I say I didn't get emotional. I shed tears. Wow. I was raised watching TNG and all it's variant series after that. Star Trek Picard brought ALL of it back in one massive series!!! Total nostalgia in present day. I hope they keep this legacy going or at least, this timeline. Not the stupid Chris Pine, JJ Abram Star Trek reboot.

For me personally, Season 3 of Picard is also the long-awaited and missed real final season No. 8 of TNG. A fitting and honorable conclusion for the grand old lady and her crew. And I hope that Captain Riker finally gets his deserved admiral rank, and Data regains his rank as captain.

The legendary Galaxy Enterprise Class Enterprise D now this is Star Trek. It was a sad day when she blew up on Veridian III but Geordi and Section 31 went back and removed all traces there was a ship or launch pad here and they even recovered Kirk. To return Enterprise to operation USS Syracuse which was damaged in the Dominion Wars was scrapped and its star drive given to the D the Saucer Module which crashed was recovered and repaired and the dome, windows and screens replaced. It is good to have her back thank you for restoring her Geordi this was your ship.

It makes a lot sense to me the Syracuse lost it's own saucer during the Dominion War. All Geordi had to do was make sure the docking clamps on the Ds saucer weren't too busted up and, voilà.

This is a moment of Television magic. The entire season of Picard had something that was truly lacking from Star Trek in the last few years... it had heart. So much nostalgia and so many emotions when I saw the Enterprise-D. I knew it was coming, too many hints to not have it show up... but when it did I got emotional. because TNG and the Enterprise-D where the show I truly grew up with.

Also, seeing her on screen again, after her crash on Veridian III, was like seeing the Ecto-1 revealed in the third act (not the initial reveal earlier in the film) of Ghost Busters Afterlife. Then Deanna saying she sensed great joy as the camera pans to Data was like Peter Vekmen asking Gozar, "Hey, Flat-top! Did you miss us?" We all know that was a 4th wall break directed at the fans. Thank you, Terry Matalas for your generous gift to us.
