What’s sad for me is that it was pretty much confirmed they were working on new content weeks before the game was suddenly dropped. The ISB officer likely reusing assets meant for Ahsoka and Padmé is proof along with what the devs said over the years.

Star Card loadouts, Crait for Coop/Supremacy and Endor for Supremacy were probably almost finished to be released when EA cut the support. Perhaps they even worked on actual reinforcements for the OT (other than the mess the ISB trooper and the Ewok are) and even more. So sad to see the game on its peak in state where it's finally a really good one only to know it will never grow beyond that point.

The sole reason I bought my PS4 and got back into gaming was Battlefront II. This is my favorite game of all time. They captured the essence of Star Wars so well, and the Iden Versio story was good enough to spark a movie in my opinion. The game still has many flaws but the foundation was there, it could be so much better. Hopefully everyone can chime in and spark new life for the game! 🤟🏻

On the subject of Ahsoka, it is clear she was the next hero in the lineup after the soccer balls. What I mean is that the Infiltrator ISB agent uses animations that are strikingly familiar to Ahsoka. The running animation, the melee attacks, and even the animation that plays when the ISB grabs her blasters is how Ahsoka would draw her lightsabers. So what does this mean? It means that Ahsoka was a work in progress, and once the word was given to Dice that battlefront was nearing its close, they dumped the animations that they had completed onto a reinforcement that could use them. Since Agent Kallus was quite spry, it was a smart move giving the ISB agent Ahsoka’s athletic animations. So while we don’t have Ahsoka, The ISB offers a sneak peak at what could’ve been one of the best heroes.

I remember when this game launched I found it pretty bad. The hero system at the time was weird and I hated how there was little customization to your class compared to the first battlefront . But I did continue to play every once and a while and noticed the game slowly getting better and better. By January 2020, I got ALL of my friends playing it and it was sooo fun. I was so bummed when EA stopped live service. I think for me personally, I had more fun playing battlefront (2015), but this game definitely was on the way to passing my love for that game. Rip bf2

After those horrible Community tasks to unlock those animated victory poses in the summer of 2019 DICE released an update that broke the game completely for a month or so. What breaks my heart to no end, and I’ll scream this at the top of my lungs until the day I die; Battlefront 2 could have been an amazing game. It could have been extraordinary. If they had literally just taken the originals, added a few other modes, and threw in the AAA graphics, I would have said that was job done. We would have been that easy to please. I’d like to think so, anyway. Unfortunately, they had to rebuild the game from pay to win mechanics, and it still really shows. It feels like so much of the content was rushed out and didn’t get the love and care that a name like Star Wars deserves. Vehicles like tanks are nearly undriveable on certain maps because they bounce around so much on the terrain, BLATANTLY empty hero slots as you mentioned, and numerous more flaws. Not to mention modes like CapSup and HvV are full of sweaty fucks that absolutely thrash casual players, and I’ve found that it’s rare that I actually get to play a fun, balanced match on the latter of those game modes. Only mode I really enjoy playing 100% of the time is co-op. Is Battlefront 2 fun? Sure. Absolutely. Unfortunately, it’s running out of steam for so many people because it still feels incomplete.

I just reinstalled this last night. And played it all night. I had a blast. There so many people still playing. Even co op missions were taking seconds to get in. Man I'm gonna continue to play this. What a awesome star wars game. although I do miss how classic had the vehicles on the map you could get in. And the Map where you could wrap up the big ones and make them fall. And be able to go from ship to ship fighting was fun. But man this game made a turn around. Really hope they make a battlefront 3 and introduce more stuff from the classic back Into the world. Game is still gorgeous to and runs like a dream

I still love the game and play it regularly. I absolutely want BF3 or something greater. In short I want ALL Star Wars characters from ALL eras and maps on the ground and in space and in ships from ALL eras and locations in the movies, books etc. I call it "Total Battlefront. PS don't the game makers get a little of the online subscription fee that the game consoles charge to play online? It seems that alone could fund support almost indefinitely.

The one thing which annoys me about games like battlefront 2 is that there are too many modes for them to all be playable. If they had 3 or four main modes thats changed every hour or so then every mode would get played a decent bit. I really hope and expect a battlefront 3 in the future and I agree they should just let someone else work on it or something because if there's one thing I regret when it comes to gaming, it's not spending time on the battlefront games at their best and in general. I wish abttlefront 3 had the trooper system more like in battlefront one but with the better heros of battlefront 2. It would be interesting if we made a petetion or something to show how many people want a battlefront 3 or even raise some money to convince them.

To be fair to EA and Dice, bringing in new heros would probably have major balancing issues. Think about it, not only do you need to have equal heros in both light and dark side, you also need to match them up with EACH ERA. Like you yourself just mentioned a list of potential heros at 10:00. Out of like 6 or 7 heroes mentioned, only two of them were dark side, and even those were separate eras. Like playing as dark side will just get massacred

I still wish we got Star Wars tv show content or more sequel trilogy content (exegol, Poe, Hux)

I would LOVE to be able to play as Mando and Ahsoka however for me personally I would've preferred that they added in brand new maps, newer weapons and the added option for private matches over more heroes.

Love it. I bought it originally near launch on PS4 but didn't play much. Expensive and micro transactions annoyed me. I picked it up free for pc a year ago and it is great fun. It is my go to fps game. Really enjoy the strategies. Always play random co-op. I'm not a fan of PvP. The heavy minigun clearing a choke point. Epic. Would love a sequel.

I really love Battlefront 2 and seeing that they'll not work on a third installment just saddens me
