The hero designer said that one-handed lightning does jump between enemies like chain lightning, so that's probably why he has the option to do one-handed or two-handed instead of just doing both hands by pressing LMB.

Yeah, I wouldn't mind if they buffed the damage for the lighning, so you can unleash the force at your targets quickly but deal a lot of damage or do the one-handed. Then again, I didn't try Palpatine yet coz he's locked O_O, but from the gameplays he seems rather weak with his main lightning.

I use " in full control, lightning reach and the rule of two" in HVV (did it even before watching the video) and i can say i learned to play with the emperor very well.many people say the emperor is weak or just dont know how to handle him right...was disappointed with him first too (really need starcard upgrades) but the emperor is amazing once you learn how to play with him ! :)

I'm pretty sure if they buff his base damage he'll be broken. I have the card where it increases your 2 handed lightning on electrocuted targets at level 4 and it nearly kills people before they get out of stun...... and if they break him, everybody's gonna spam him. let the brain dead characters stay braindead and the lesser used ones stay lesser used.

Charles Rawls (Asst Instr Technical Support) Right! People are just bad at characters like Palpatine because they think they have some "plot armor" running out in the open like they won't die. He is really strong but not invincible. I believe his best map is on theed. I went against 8 people lined up in the hallways of the palace (with an officer health buff) while my aura was also up and shocked them all then the aura finished them off almost instantly. Then I proceeded into the next room and used his electrocute and killed 3 people and a Han Solo. After that, I ended up with 400 HP from permanent damage. So no one can tell me he is bad.

yeah, hes a strong character if you can be evasive. people just want to run through shit and button mash to victory. another thing that people fail to realize is that he has one of the highest and floatiest jumps in the game. so aside from your Dashing and abilities you can abuse his lighting while you're in the air to make yourself even safer. Palpatine is VERY hard to pin down, which in turn makes it ok if his ttk is a little slow. he just one of the heros that really shine after you level his cards a bit. Now if they buff his base atk dmg (which is increased BY PERCENT with the electrocute card) hes a going to be a fckin monster.

I must say I often find myself playing very aggressive with Palpatine. Using his movement to dodge most of the enemy attacks while draining their health to a minimum using a kombi of his abilities and his basic attack is SO satisfying. Definitely my current favourite hero.

They need to make a new star card which will replace one of his abilities(similar to soldiers) and give him a lightsaber ability. It would only last for a few seconds but Palpantine, being a Sith Master will deal significantly more damage with his lightsaber. He needs his lightsaber otherwise he will be a joke, no matter how they buff him.

I get 1st every time with palp and I don't agree with this vid that u can't play him aggressively. If you keep on dodging around it's quite possible to take on at least 3 heroes (even all 4 if there's 3 lightsaber heroes). Palp is the slimiest bastard of all time, you can just hide around a corner and use his regular lightning attack through walls (like literally straight through walls).

I have a few things to point out. Electrocute needs a bit more of a fix than just his long animation, when enemies are "paralyzed" they can still somehow fire back or force push you. And the other: Palpatine's melee can be very useful in certain situations. If you've run out of stamina, his melee has a decent range and can be used to finish off heroes and whatnot, like a nice finishing jab if everything else is on cooldown. It might leave you a bit vulnerable but if you know your enemy is at low health and can be struck dead with one jab, then proceed with a melee or two to do so.

Jumping with palp is good if you have your dark aura on making you unhitable by saber users if they have already used their push abilities. Use the electrocute if someone is charging you and you can safely say they won't roll and if it hits use your 1 handed lightning while they are stunned (this will not break their stun) then just before they get out start doing double lightning and then use chain lightning while holding down double lightning The reason for this is because if you use Chain lightning while using the main lightning attack there is no pause of lightning If you catch someone off guard elecrocute 1 handed then when they get out 2 hand them chain lightning then dodge around them till they are dead You can also seek some dark aura in there while they are stunned

Like other players I did not know that Palpatine had a choice of one or both hands for his basic lighting attack. I thought that LT was to block. But learned the hard way, Palpatine can't block

I still think his lightning needs a buff, not much just a little, for instance if someone is blocking, you will run out of stamina before you break their block (even with the card that allows him to shock for longer) I think either make it so he can shock for even longer or give the lightning a slight boost in damage.
