I just recently started playing Battlefront 2 on pc. I'm loving it so far but i really wish i knew how to mod Johnny Klebitz in the game or knew anyone who could do that.

Totally understand why it’s taken so long and it’s not a criticism but I hope there is still a large enough player base to make it viable when it does land. I was so excited about the first release and it had a few issues that led to it declining in users so totally agree it’s got to be well tested this time.

If by few issues you mean they intentionally included malware on their client and used it to prank people and then got very aggressive to people who took issue with it. Then yeah. They straight up said the community doesn’t deserve to play BF2 because of how people were upset at their mistake. It’s a client made by a bunch of spiteful children.

@@KainZeuxis no, as you ask it was a problem getting the client to work, the difficulty in matching mods to servers and the laaaaag. I don’t know anything of what you mention. My experience was that they were always helpful and polite. If that was not how it was for you I’m sorry (whilst acknowledging that there almost certainly two sides to this argument ) but I’m not going to let that put me off from looking forward to the eventual release of k2.

@@snailboy5610 when Kyber 1 launched. They included some code that allowed them to open up webpages on people’s computers that had the client installed. They then used this to play a massive prank on all of their users by forcing their PC’s to load up Rick roll videos on KZbin. Naturally the user base wasn’t happy about a glaring security violation being installed on their computers, and when confronted about it, the Kyber team because incredibly hostile to the community as well as very shifty. There was a lot of demand for the project to go open source which Kyber refused. Which prompted a down shift in the player base as no one wanted to take their word that they removed the code when they refused to give proof. This was all during the infamous 1HP hack that was plaguing the PC versions of BF2 at the time. And some members of the team expressed they wish the bug didn’t get fixed because the community didn’t deserve to be able to play BF2 with how they reacted to Kyber team’s antics. The team pretty much killed all their initial support and since then had been trying to downplay what happened to try and get support for Kyber V2

i didn’t ever get a chance to play kyber 1 so i don’t really know how this all works but is kyber just private servers. i was mainly wondering to when i installed mods they always replaced characters as well to in kyber when you download a character will it just add it or will it be like the vanilla game were it replaces the charachter and only you can see the skin sorry if this message seems a little sloppy i don’t really know how to explain it

If I’m interpreting your question correct kyber 2 can technically do both but I think adding new characters instead of replacing them will be more common

If the content is locked behind a paywall they are not using their FREE time on it . This is further cemented by the fact i cant even get the old version to try out because they removed that as well. Ive waited so long to get this game goin finally got set up only to find im screwed . I understand its only a few bucks which i would gladly give if i could at the moment but unfortunately i cant . On top of that since everything has been delayed and communication very minimal when i can get it i will end up doin it only for them to immediately release it . just frustrating and makes me not wanna keep checking on info . Im a huge fan of star wars and this game and honestly if it wasnt for your vid popin up i would have probably not checked again

For what it's worth, most people aren't paying nor have I. They're still working on it, it is coming it just takes time to get right when they don't have many people working on it.as soon as they share anything else I'll make a video hopefully it's soon :)

Is there another good way to mod or play custom servers? Also , have you heard of or be willing to play or bring attention to vertex ? I wanna see if it's also playable in VR just don't have someone to fight ... It may pair pretty damn good possibly

@@A7ZATRU Seems like I found the root of the issue. Either Kyber is the cheat engine or it allows the cheaters to modify the game. This is why the game is dead to the average consumer. Do you support the cheating or would you support moderation? I would enjoy some more variety in everything and things that do not break the game but there is just so much that they can modify that makes it worthless to waste time with. Its a ridiculous amount of bologna that alienates new players.

Ahh yes Kyber, they can’t even make their own game and have to re-use another company work and call it their own. I hope one day EA/Dice sees them and sue them for sure. This game has no future anymore, if they bring crossplay on all new cross gen platform then sure, but so far this game is dead.
