This map is a lot better with a lot more AI thanks to the postscript tool. This map will crash if you have max units on screen so i made sure to have at least more than 170 AI per team. It seems to be that way for some reason.

I think this map works better in Battlefront 1, the Battlefront 2 has space combat and while it's nice, this game having no space combat means that the low flying LAAT gunships strafing the ground with their armaments makes this pretty cool As well as the amount of units actually being on the ground turning it into a real cool slugging match between the AI

Given how in the campagne bf2 it shows a trooper inside i would wager that in bf 2 it was changed towards the end, probably because its ability to just hover in place in the sky made it overpowered for online play

Umbara was one of the major Separatist planets. The locals fought pretty hard, and got stomped pretty solidly.

The pilot class in the first Battlefront will actually slowly repair whichever ship or vehicle they are in, even Turrets. So pilot class make for the best tanker classes.

Mods have served this game beautifully throughout the years. The battle actually felt like it matched the scale of the Clone Wars really well: hundreds of blaster bolts flying in both directions, tons of explosions, gorgeous setting. Top-tier stuff.

it's so satisfying seeing the perspective where a local army is fighting the clones with unique models. i was a big fan of the Clone Wars books and this reminds me of the murky atmosphere of the Jedi Healer books. CIS was like fighting for their independence from the Republic, those AT-TEs are stomping on the local wildlife, killing locals, and wrecking the environment lol

This map works best with BF1 especially since there's a lack of Jedi heroes. Anakin left, Pong Krell just sits his ass down on the command center, it's perfect.

I didnt think anyone played this anymore. I remember playing in mp lobbies when I was a kid and was genuinely sad when I found those same lobbies were empty 10 years later. So this video brought back so much nostalgia and reminded me of how good the og maps were. The day somebody is able to combine the og Battlefront 1 and 2 maps into the same game would be a dream come true. So many times I wish I could combine the 2 ogs together into one and have the best of both.

Just like was the NVA in South Vietnam during the Vietnam War but a piece of media could choose to focus on the VC instead or how there was Vichy France and Italians in Africa during WW2 but a game could choose to focus on the Germans instead.

when I was a kid, one of my favorite cards was Gionosis. When you load into a ship as a desatnik and with a full crew you fly to the drop zone, or as a gunner, just +1000 to atmosphere and immersion. It's a shame that in the new BF, we got this pathetic parody of vehicles. I don't know what kind of person you have to be to neuter the game like that.
