Well you know they are gonna try to shove monetization schemes in that when a lousy company is involved. Such as `forcing Ads in` despite being an offline game, Forcing online connectivity, atleast to get `level up rewards` and forcing level up rewards in if they were not present first to extra force owning a subscription on all non PC versions if it even comes to PC. Oh and lets not forget them shoving in a bunch of `extra cosmetics` and whatever cosmetics that came with the original version now behind some 10 or 20 dollar `bundle extra cost, because they likely cant force a damn loot box system in after overwatch`s shenigans and the EA version of battlefront 1 & 2. Not to mention them likely getting Denuvo and its console versions shoved in which result in massive FPS drop and delay inputs and just straight up crashing in the name of `preventing game modications`, when it once again causes more problems in the game that cost more money then simply porting the base game onto a new console with a emulator to run it and nothing else done to it.@@TonyTynebridge

I just tried playing a Multiplayer Match on my Xbox Series X and had no issues at all this afternoon. It looks like Aspyr has activated a bunch of new dedicicated servers for Multiplayer and I had no issues connecting to a lobby and playing a match. The match was smooth with no issues whereas yesterday I couldn't get into a multiplayer match to save my life.

Single player audio bugs, missing scenes, ui bugs etc. Even in single player it's broken. But you know what works perfectly? The 2005 version and the plethora of mods for it. Always had a full server or 2. Ping is low. Feels good to play. And has about 29 times the single player content available. Refund before you put too many hours into it.

Because the majority of us (Xbox and PC players) already have the Originals bought, installed and, in PC's case, further upgraded thanks to the Modding Community. And the only reason we would buy this is for the Multiplayer. The only people that would benefit from getting this for Single Player are the PS4/5 who never had the originals on PS2 (which is considered the worst version of the games, not counting the PSP BFII) and the Switch Players since these games were never released on the GameCube (for obvious reasons) or the Wii

Haven't bought a game on day one since NMS and have not regretted it. It's the internet that has brought us to this. Now that they have the ability to "patch it later" , they don't give a f**k. No more play testers , you either get an open beta or a broken mess. Either way, YOU are the play tester. No more Quality Assurance. Digital releases. Everything they can get away with to keep costs down whilst making sure they hit that launch date and keep the shareholders happy. I can't believe how huge the files are! The Ninja Gaiden Master Collection has three games that are from the ps3 era, are upgraded to 60'fps, and have some slight texture and lighting upgrades...and they all fit on a portable hard drive with tons of room to spare! 12. Gigs. Total. And they run like a dream. No online play, yeah, but they included all online content with super competent boys, and even added all new improved content based on the online challenges. Star Wars as a license feels cursed. I sense something elusive and evil...I have a bad feeling about this...

They did a genuinely good job porting KOTOR I & 2 to android and ios, tomb raider remastered was pretty good too. However the switch ports of kotor is broken and kotor 2 promised they promise the restored content mod as DLC and never delivered. I don't trust them at all

The original Battlefront 2 was on sale last year, and I played it on X series for about 3 dollars. It worked great and was just as I remembered it. I feel so bad for everyone who bought the remaster.

If I had to guess, I'd go for incompetent and incommunicative management. It seems that Aspyr when given work to do by a publisher or IP owner, if they're given the work and it's detailed and plain sailing, they're fine. But if there's issues and either communication or decisions need to be made, they are completely out of their depth. When you have the ability to turn out good work that demonstrates you have capable workers. But this screams crap management.

Textures are by far the largest files in any game. If you are going from 480p to 2160p, literally 18 times the resolution. The texture filles take up near 18 times the space.

As a developer (not a games developer but a software developer), I think part of the reason we see so many broken remasters may be due to the developers not understanding the legacy code behind the project. Either that or it's getting sourced to AI. I am in no way saying that that is the reason why, just a guess on my part.

It will be for upscaled textures take 480p and turn it into 4k and you have file sizes increase by a dramatic amount it's why you used to get 3 disc games on 360 vs 1 disc for ps3 because of size allocation to discs.

I've said it on plenty of videos and I'll say it again...part of the problem are consumers that blindly purchase games even though these companies do not deserve a cent. I don't know if it's because they feel bad for the devs or what but this will ALWAYS be an issue. Businesses have changed how they operate and they have no intention to change that. Someone bigger will buy these studios and start the wheel over again. One thing that was said that I'm curious about is, are people pre-ordering a digital copy of a game? That sounds insane to me. It's a digital 1 and 0. Why would they run out? Is that even a possible outcome for the digital version of a game? It sounds insane to me to pre-order a game that I plan to purchase digitally anyways. Yea, they claim there's extras that come with it, but I doubt it's worth the money. Especially when a year from release date they'll sell a version that includes everything.

If you want a good Star Wars Remaster right now, go play the Dark Forces Remastered which was done by Nightdive Studios (the makers of Turok remastered) which is far more better at doing this and should have been the ones doing this collection (the only reason Aspyr is given the chance to do SW remasters is Embracer Group (Aspyr's parent company) having more financial strings to pull in Disney than Atari (Nightdive's Parent Company) does)

Honestly the Offline Stuff like instant action and all that is pretty fun and not terrible but yea the online is Yikes, That said even the offline has issues like Utupau crashes often, Sound bugs, Texture issues, missing cutscenes from the story ect. Its wild that The classic collection was so bad on launch that people are just going back to the EA battlefronts instead lol no hate to EA BF2 tho cause that game had a huge turn around and is arguably as good as the OG BF2 in some aspects, Shame this collection spits in everyones faces unless all ya care for is Offline IA in which case your mostly good.

Aspyr are masters of the quick cash grab. I've been burned far too many times. The last straw was the KOTOR2 nonsense. I have not and will not buy an aspyr game ever again. Not really surprised they cocked battlefront up, just glad I didnt wast money on this latest debacle.
