Thanks to David Chambers on Patreon I can now confirm that Dr. Evazan's arms are reuse, turns out they are from Jedi Luke. In my defense, all of my Black Series Jedi Lukes are covered by something. Endor poncho, Mandalorian cloak as a stand-in until we get a proper one, etc. I can award myself points for at least recognizing the reuse, right? RIGHT?

I'm a big fan of the new stormtrooper sculpt. I agree - it just looks natural, like a person wearing armor. A that Boba Fett fig looks better better than expected!

You see Ponda Baba (Walrusman)'s model of blaster in the Mandalorian, in Mando's weapons rack on the Razor Crest. But in real-life, the prop came from an armourer, who among other productions, supplied weapons for the BBC Television series Doctor Who. There's one particular Doctor Who story, in which the Doctor's arch enemies the Daleks are left without power for their built-in blasters. So, they develop a machine gun instead - and it's a long silver tube with those distinct flared fins on the end. Along came Star Wars a few of years later, and the armourer supplied weapons to that production - including a pistol with the Dalek machine-gun barrel. It's not the only time there was a cross-over of props between the two productions - the Tusken Raider Gaffi-stick appeared in the Doctor Who story The Power of Kroll. The space-suits worn by Bossk and by BoShek in the Cantina in A New Hope both turned up in Doctor Who a couple of times in the 60s, and Jabba's hookah was sprayed all gold and stuck to a wall as decoration in The Twin Dilemma.

Robo, it was super to get your take on this wave. The mix master/war of sound trooper was 😀. Fennec is the stand out. I am impressed with her rendering. You put Bib through the paces and there is a well articulated figure underneath all the attire. All of them make a worthwhile wave. Bring on the denizens of Jabbas palace as black series!

I want to say the Jedha troopers backpack is for carrying kyber crystals and the cylinders are crystal containers. But the sound system idea is more fun!

Yeah, that's right. The backpack also carries a "Multi-Frequency Spotlight Glow Rod" (basically one of those chunky like rectangular flashlights), a pair of Electrobinoculars, a datapad, and an Armor Accessory Cube Locker (what that is, I haven't the slightest idea)

I feel so "out of it" - I have been a fan of Star Wars (since i saw the first film when it came out, when I was in third grade) and I had ZERO clue that Bib Fortuna was a Twi'lek! I guess it's his Leeku/head tails, and they way they draped that made the think he was just another species I hadn't seen before. Glad I tuned in - not only great reviews but I learned something!!! Ponda and Evazon look like decent civilian fodder, once you pop the heads/hands. Not sure Evazon could be a good base for Wuhrer, but (…Rod Steiger?) from Life Day needs a bit more of a gut. Otherwise, that body could work for all three. And I still want Bea, Harvey, and Chewie’s family as figures! Leia almost looks like her Blues Bros self. Nice call on updating the gold bikini head, as we’ll never get another one of her (and Oola?). Fennec is the only one I’m interested in so I can custom Malinda May to join SHIELD. And did you hear about the JUST HITTING 2021 Holiday figures? White Chewie w/red suspenders (Ultra-Humanite, or Ultra-Wookieenite, anyone?), w/ porg. Red Biker Scout w/ Grogu in sack. (Aka Adam Pally!) C-3PO (elf style w/ Hey-HEY! dude?), red StormTrooper, and a green Trooper. Not sure why they mostly reuse the Troopers, as Hoth Rebels could work, too. Or green Twi-lek. Not sure WHERE these are hitting, but all five were found at once, not sure what store, either?

Save for the Mayfeld being a seriously weird pick, I'd say this is one of the strongest Black Series waves ever. Four legendary characters, two characters in currently airing media, and a very solid army builder is a fantastic lineup. Still wish Mayfeld was in his Season 1 gear though, because as it stands, there is basically no point in having Zero now.

Someone needs to say this: Double knees suck and are a false economy with more negatives for display and posing than positives. You can choose between kicking ones own butt in poses noone will ever use, or so rarely as to be pointless, whilst rendering all normal leg posing with a weird looking lack of knee ...... OR you can have a single knee joint that looks like a normal leg bends, and has a prominent knee when bent. The ONLY time a double joint works a bit better is if the figure has knee pads or armour

It be a good good! I’m okay with Brown Fett. The nomad look is very cool. But his armored look will always be better. The cups are permanent accessories for Bomba and Evazan. They may be wanted men but I think them more as those goofy azz renegades who find trouble. I don’t see them as more than goons and drinking buddies. Bib’s double chin should have been set back just a little more so the chin chin is more pointed. Shand is a treat! The best pick of the box for sure. Those straps come off of the rifles if they get in the way.

The blue shading on Bib's head really throws me off. Like, it would be one thing if that's how he looked in Return of the Jedi, but it's not. I literally just went and double checked in case, and there's only the very faintest hint of blue in some creases on his head tails, but certainly nothing on his face. Weird choice.
