Great to hear SAF getting a shout out here. I've been getting my figs from there for years now and they're awesome. Well packaged, speedy delivery and they communicate extremely well. Always very honest about when some of the higher prices are being set by silly Hasbro demands too. They got Mara Jade up for preorder really soon after the announcement, and mentioned in big red letters that they were getting very limited quantities of her, so I got a preorder in straight away. Sure enough, she was pre-sold out the next morning. Very appreciative of SAF for being upfront about that.

If you look carefully the axe woves vest piece is actually a new sculpt! I think the needed it to be bigger to accommodate that brown apron attached to his belt but they went through the trouble of resculpting it rather than just upsizing it.

Oh I've been eagerly waiting for this review. This is probably the most figures I've bought from a single Black Series wave in a while. The Grand Inquisitor figure I find to be a lot of fun, I removed the cape to give him more of a Rebels look. I can overlook the head sculpt but I hate the wrists, especially since he very much had a fencing style of fighting in Rebels (I know it's a Kenobi version but still). Migs I think is okay, I just find the colors ugly and its overall a bit plain. I plan on getting that Greef Karga mainly because of the likeness, I always thought the last version looked off so I skipped it. I would get Aayla but I don't have any of the other prequel Jedi currently, so she doesn't have a spot in my collection yet. Maul though, man, I've been waiting years for this design, probably making this my most anticipated figure of the year, and they nailed it. It's easily my Black Series figure of the year, there's so much character and personality you can pull off with the poses thanks to that head sculpt and the articulation. His characterization in that series makes that design my favorite version, to me it embodies that character in their most compelling era, plus it translates better to figure form than what we got with the Episode 1 version. For me he's right next to Vader on my villains display, then flanking him are all the other prequel era villains, I just love how it turned out.

While I am not a huge Star Wars fan, I am a fan of great looking action figures. I'm consistently impressed with the level of detail, paint and sculpt Black Series provides. I focus mostly on Stormtroopers and bounty hunters, but if I think it's cool and it's in the budget, it ends up on my shelf. This wave reminds me of a long time Black Series want, Darth Talon. Is there a chance she might be made at some point, maybe as a fan channel exclusive? Or will she suffer the same fate as Slave Leia?

one of the only things I dont get is why Hasbro opted to give Maul his cartoon looking legs instead of the legs in Solo, which by it's inclusion on the Rebels Darth Maul skin in Battlefront 2, is what the legs in live action should look like I guess, it's not a biggie for me, its just odd haha, cause well, make the solo legs once and you can re-use em for Rebels and Solo Maul figures in the future, the future of 2040 probably haha

id have gotten the GI if he was based on Rebels tbh. the Kenobi version just looked so awkward, idk. everyone memed on the head but imo the lack of the longer collar/neck throws it off even more, not to memtion the proportions of the armor. i feel like the chestplate and shoulderpads being as large as they are throw the look of the Pau'an species off even further. although on the figure it's not *as bad* as in the show to be fair. this one seems fine for those who didnt mind how Kenobi changed the look, but if you're into alien accuracy this seems like an easy pass unfortunately. even more so if you dont like costume redesigns I guess. kinda wish wed have gotten him in the style of the other rebels characters instead, but tough luck I suppose.

Axe Woves actually has a slightly different torso armor overlay than the deathwatch mandalorian. The differences are small but you can see Axe's torso overlay is a bit bigger in comparison to deathwatch

Huh, that's crazy. Really, it's just the epaulets set slightly further back and the wrinkles on the undershirt sculpted different. No reason to do that but they did, I totally missed that. Thanks for the heads up!

The Maul lightsabre is about 1" too long. It would look better if the hilts were 0.5" shorter and each blade was 0.25" shorter.

I got my maul from staraction figs. It costs 20 usd to ship aka double the total after tax for the fig. It will say its ₤19.99 but thats 25 or 24.99$ my total was 49.71 but they shipped it fast. If u buy more then 1 fig not sure if its just the service 20 dollar fee for 1 item or all. But if its a fig u really want. It's worth it. Ive been looking for maul for months. Its been out awhile in the uk. If u think 49.71 is too much for a blackseries not available til feb 23 in u.s they are going for 80 to 100 usd on mercari and ebay
