I already have the various versions of the Sandtrooper so for me personally i would like to see a new body release, even if they wanted to make it one of Hasbro's so called deluxe figures with all the different,pauldrons backpacks and weapons i am sure it would go down a treat but a regular Archive release would be great i just think with all the different stormtrooper variants at the moment it would be great to keep all future Stormtrooper releases from the same mould just to try and keep them all uniform.Awesome episode guys

I totally see what you're saying, Boba! The only thing for me is that I think the new stormtrooper helmet is a hair too small. I think the proportions of the sandtrooper helmet are fantastic! Alas, I would be interested to see a "deluxe" release and they can include every blaster that the sandtrooper originally had and then throw in the blaster pistol, every color pauldron, binoculars, droid ring thing (look sir, droids), etc. And give it some super nice paint. We do have that Jedha Patrol stormtrooper coming so depending on how that looks we might get a new sandy! Thanks for watching as always, Vader. -Justin

I made a custom sandtrooper using the gear from the old orange paildron and its head and the new body. Everything fit just fine.....no backpack shrink needed. I then weatehered him with sand effects using a Tamiya Weather Master kit. You guys just gotta become willing to experiment a little bit.

Actually we don't. I prefer not to customize or alter my figures. I'm happy you were able to make a good custom though! I don't like the idea of me customizing figures in my own collection because I don't think I should have to tamper with an official product and to me it loses the "collectability" once you do customize. That's not a jab at customizers but that's my reason for not wanting to. -Justin

I would love a sandtrooper on the new body. The only thing that annoys me though is that the new trooper body represents the armor in Rogue One and the Mandalorian. I think the old sandtrooper is a bit more accurate to the original movies. Not a big deal though.

The old Sandtrooper is still awesome and if they were to release a Sandtrooper in the archive line, then it would definitely be on the old body. But common guys, the new Stormtrooper body is better and a new release in Sandtrooper form in the main line would definitely be the way to go.

I got the Sandtrooper with the 4-pack with the white pauldron but i want more ! I was thinking about buying the Dewback with gray pauldron wearing Sandtrooper but i guess now i'll wait, ..... I think Hasbro gonna rerelease the Dewback alone like the Wampa..?? Maybe Hasbro could released a 4-pack of all the Color Sandtrooper.... 🤔

Either would be good. I would probably prefer the new body and make it deluxe with great paint apps and all the accessories. I agree the old figure is great and the paint apps are awesome but the thing I don’t like about it is the legs are too far apart/bow legged. It bugs me every time I look at it on my shelf. That’s why I’d like to see what they could do on the new body.

I would be thrilled to see an Archive Wave rerelease of the original-body Sandtrooper. Even if it no longer had the sandblast paint app effect, so long as it included the orange pauldron and all the original accessories it would definitely be worthwhile. I think Hasbro is slowly starting to realize that today's collectors can never get enough cool army-building figures. Realistically though, the coming Jedha Patrol Trooper is probably the closest figure to a Sandtrooper that Hasbro is going to give us anytime in the near future.

It's a figure that needs to happen! So many people have simply got into the line when the sandtroopers have been long gone. They're essential for any Black Series collection! I am curious to see the Jedha patrol stormtrooper though. Thanks for watching, Daniel! -Justin

@@OutOfTheBasement Yeah, I was one of those people since I have been collecting 6"-scale BS for only the past two years. (I did, though, manage to obtain the BS 3.75"-scale version of the Sandtrooper at a reasonable price, and it is likewise an excellent figure.) Hopefully the clout and discipline that you and Nate wield as creators of one of the preeminent BS channels will motivate the decision-makers at Hasbro to take this Sandtrooper video under serious consideration. (I am still scratching my head over the recent decision by the Hasbro figure-release-selection "gatekeepers" to waste a precious upcoming Archive Wave slot on the still-easily-obtainable Skiff Guard Lando figure.)

In a perfect world, new body mold with the old paint apps and old helmet mold. I vastly prefer the new articulation on the new Stormtrooper.

If they ever do end up re-releasing the Sand Trooper, either Archive or new body, I am Definitely picking that up. I remember I didn't care about Gam Guard, then I got it and was like, wow, I see now. Lol. Great video guys.

For me, I'd be happy never seeing the old trooper body again. I have a custom sand trooper using the new trooper body and it just looks better. There would need to be some changes to make it accurate. Sniper plate, ab plate need to be changed and lose the drop boxes. Sand troopers don't have those.

I definitely hear what you're saying because on another hand I would be totally fine never seeing the old trooper body ever again as well. But I will say the sandtrooper helmet is more accurate to the sandtrooper than the new stormtrooper helmet is accurate to the new stormtrooper. I sold all my BS sand troopers ( 1 squad leader, 1 Sergeant, 3 enlisted ), even the Bantha rider. The only mold I have of that figure now are the Shadow trooper 2 packs. While I do enjoy BS, I need to keep a tighter reign on them. I'm too far invested in 3.75" to dump them all now. My other problem is I have the same issue with GI Joe! Classified & their 3.75" counter parts. You guys are lucky you can stick to 2 or 3 of your favorite IP's, I have several. ..... ....

I never got that original orange line Sandtrooper because I hadn’t started collecting the Black Series yet at the time, and it then became extinct by the time I jumped onboard. However, about 5-yrs ago my sister made a business trip to China and while there she found an original Chinese knock-off Sandtrooper, along with a few other knock-offs, and brought them home for me. So I don’t know what’s more cool. Owning the original Black Series release, or owning a Chinese knock-off from China. It looks just the same to me and I can’t tell the difference. Only the box has misprints (the main logo says Star Wals…😂). Anyway, fun discussion guys. I would love to see the Sandtrooper re-released. I’d army build the heck out of them! 😬.

why not BOTH? Sandtrooper = Archive as close to original as possible (maybe even better if it is just a RESTOCK, like they did with Rex... no need for more of that archive throwaway packaging) Jedha Patrol Troopers (multiple) on the new body, no sand or dirt please, i want mine to be SHINY and new looking, if you look at pics from Hot Toys, they absolutely have the same Sandtrooper backpacks and blasters as OPTIONS, they also have multiple colored pauldrons. Hasbro can absolutely do like 3 different Jedha Patrol Troopers the same way they did multiple Sand Troopers. That way we can have the classics re-released and updated versions at the same time and Hasbro can double tripple quadrouple dip all over the place.

Awsome video as always guys. Next to Vader and Boba characters stormtroopers have always been my favorite characters. The Dewback and sandtrooper is the only one I don't have in Black Series.. I even have the First Order Tie Fighter in a cherry box from Target... Never seen the light of day still packed in the original shipping box. I fully agree with you guys. I wish they would do more Stormtroopers.

I haven’t been able to get a stormtrooper in a side mural box, are those the ones on the new body? I do have several older stormtroopers: Luke and Han in stormtrooper armor, orange pauldron sandtrooper, dewback sandtrooper and regular stormtrooper. None on mural box so I’m thinking none of these are on new body. Am I deprived and don’t even know it? 😉. Interesting video.

Hey, Al Na! Yes, the stormtrooper that is in the galaxy packaging and marketed as being from The Mandalorian is the new body, regular stormtrooper. It's a fantastic figure! So yes you do not own the new stormtrooper body unless you have the stormtrooper from The Mandalorian, incinerator stormtrooper, remnant stormtrooper, or the new artillery stormtrooper. I think the best way to get the sandtrooper that we want is to have one featured in season three of the Mandalorian or on book of Boba. Lol maybe if we started some sort of a write in campaign to have the sandtrooper actually have speaking lines as a background character! Then Target could have him as an exclusive yay… Never mind terrible idea lol. In all seriousness I think an archive release is the best way to go. Plus it’s easier for Hasbro to do and cheaper. Hey guys I enjoyed the video is usual! I don’t have the orange pauldron sand trooper and I have always wanted to get it! So I would definitely vote for an archive release because I trust your judgment on this! So I am all in!! Archive all the way!! I really wanted to take pictures and send them but all I have is The Dewback trooper and a knock off that was given to me! I’m always looking to get one but they are still too expensive!! I did a tatooine diorama and it’s pretty cool but I need to populate it with the proper troopers and photograph it! I’m really getting into figure photography and diorama builds!

Eh, I disagree. I shouldn't have to tamper with an official product to get what I want. I personally choose not to modify my figures because to me, they lose almost all "collectability" once you alter the figure. It becomes something you did not purchase.
