Wow..what Qantas did to you is awful. I'm glad you were able to get other tickets on another airline. I am excited for you to be able to go to Celebration. I am looking forward to hearing about your trip and how it went when you return.

as the dates get closer, keep track of exchange rate, you may want to wait til you get to japan, sometimes it’s better to exchange at home. also beware of “con crud”, no need to saturate yourself in purell, but if you eat or snack, go the extra effort then. :)

Oh I am well versed in getting sick/not getting sick at cons. Had a pretty good run lately lol. We actually bought a bunch of yen a couple of months ago when the exchange rate was above parity but good tip.
