Look I was such a big Clone Wars fan when it was airing on TV then when Rebels started and at that time Star Wars was bought by Disney. I hate that it was more of a kid show compared to Clone Wars but I was wrong to judge it at the start. Rebels is such a good show and it's pretty much the start of new Star Wars lore for further shows coming up. So it is a must watch first. Rebels is the main course and Bad Batch is just dessert.

I'm still mad that a lot of episodes that were in development never got animated. Like the episode covering the vong invasion which would had been a problem for Luke in the future. That should have been what the sequel trilogy could have been about. Not empire vs rebels 2.0

The thing that hurted me the most out of the cancelled episodes of Clone Wars was the Asajj Ventress and Quinlan Vos Arc. not only was going to be the conclusion to Asajj's character... it was also going to be the longest arc of the whole show (8 episodes). at the very least they had the decency to adapt that unreleased arc into a Novel (Dark Disciple).

You guys should still watch Rebels before Bad Batch. As much as I love Bad Batch, you need to keep up with Ahsoka to prepare for the Ahsoka show. However if you guys watch whole arcs or do multiple episodes at a time then you could power through Bad Batch and get through(or to) Rebels quick. Rebels starts off slow like the first seasons of Clone Wars. But it's more family oriented and goes more in depth on the Force, like the Yoda episodes over time. Also it has Vader and Thrawn.

I get the recency bias, but this set of episodes doesn't really capture what The Bad Batch series is imo, so you really shouldn't set those expectations. I'd argue in fact that the standalone BB series is actually better, but very different in tone from this set of episodes. Watch Rebels first. When you finally get back around to Bad Batch, your expectations will be more appropriately met. I promise that.

Bad Batch is excellent. My favorite Star Wars show. A good mix of fun adventure and heavier material..because it can get really grim at times. Lots of people will say watch Rebels first, but I watched in chronological order (Bad Batch first) and found the experience just fine. Rebels is pretty good but the show really didn't stick with me.

I love the Bad Batch. Rebels is alright. It's definitely aimed at a young audience, but they get into a lot of lore and cool force shit and Mandalorian stuff. You do kind of need to watch it if you're going to go full Star Wars. And once you get through the first season it picks up a lot. I am curious to see the groups' general opinion of Ezra.

I mean, sure the Bad Batch plot is very interesting too, and the show is def worth watching but it can wait, and the Rebels should be first at this point. They've already made the same mistake by watching The Mandalorian first, which is why they don't understand certain cameos and don't get as much from the series as they could if they had finished Clone Wars and the Rebels first.
