Star Wars - Duel of the Fates Meets Metal

Hi everyone!
So, on a scale of 1 - 10, this was off the chart on arranging. Besides Moonlight Sonata 3, DOTF is probably the hardest vid I've ever attempted. I didn't want to lose what my man John Williams already wrote, so I gave it a shot and re-recorded/re-mapped everything with East/West (wordbuilder for the choirs especially). Hopefully you guys dig :) And the scene where Darth Maul broke out the double sided light saber, yeah that made the movie for me haha. Thanks you so much for everything! It means the world. Big ups for ALWAYS rockin my death star.

@@MichaelM28 I think hating on TPM is the least original thing that anyone could attempt to do at this point. No one ever brings up the cringy af opening scenes in ROTJ lol. TPM holds up in almost every way. The pod racing scene alone is incredibly captivating to this day, and overall, the entire film had some of the highest rewatch value. It’s a masterpiece, and easily in my top 3 of the entire franchise. Of course, I have no comparison because I haven’t seen any of your films. Could you link some to me? Would love to check them out.

DRourk Count Dukku had a weaker presence in the films. His role was only established more in the cartoon, while Maul actually left an impression and looked intimidating. Maul never ran away and faced his foes. Dukku always ran away like a coward.

Neon Wave Count Dooku didn't appear in The Phantom Menace, and Maul looked comically stupid to me, hardly intimidating. All in all, other than the Emperor (and later Anakin the bad guys in the prequel were shallow and weak, and one of the worst aspects of the prequels. Anakin himself kinda sucked as a bad guy as he was mostly portrayed just a temper tantrumed adolescent.

Just imagine in episode 8 Finn and Rey start approaching Ren's chambers, only to hear a familiar voice say: "Traitor..." The camera pans to Reveal Nines, Kylo has trained him and he's now one of the Knights of Ren, he whips out a guard shoto Saber and then this theme starts playing over an epic battle involving the three in a Saber fight, and to end it all off Finn chops Nines in half as a callback to phantom menace.

There were so many moments where the music could have been awe inspiring like Duel of the Fates or 'Battle of Heroes' from Revenge of the Sith; particularly when Anakin and Obi-Wan lock arms with the lava exploding in the background, but unfortunately it never really happened.

+butchdeadlift10 As I understand it, the energy of a lightsaber can't be curved due to being essentially a high-powered light projection. So no chainsaw-shaped saber could happen. Unless you meant like a saw-toothed saber contraption with tons of tiny blades mounted on a rotating chain. That would be technically possible, but unwieldy and wouldn't have any benefits over a standard saber.

Dude, Kylo was terrible compared to Darth Maul... as far as fights go I think that's based on opinions but as far as I think Jedi SHOULD fight is like they did in the prequels, I mean by seeing the capabilities of the force in action I'm convinced the force would guide them in combat as far as deflecting blasts and fighting powerful sith warriors.

+Xanda Panda it was what George wanted in the first place but he had to work with what he had, look at the time he made those movies? Not only in the prequels, but even video games like Jedi academy or the MMO The Old Republic had the same acrobatic styles and various lightsaber fighting styles as well. My opinion, but I think it should stay that way because it makes the fights between force user more entertaining.
