A lot of old fans hated the fact that Yoda could fight with a lightsaber. Personally I think it's the hypest shit.
@jking32663 жыл бұрын
Yeah I've seen people theorize by saying Yoda relied on his combat ability in the prequels. You even see him training padawans on using the saber. But after his fight in the 3rd film realized that Sith were very very efficient with the force. Then in the originals he wanted to train Luke focusing mostly on the way of the force and keeping the lightsaber on standby. Probably not what Lucas was going for but personally I really love this theory.

One of the prequel movies themes is that the Jedi are in the wrong for being "completely" detached from everything. One popular Star Wars theory is that if Quai Gon had survived the phantom menace who would've went on to teach Anakin how to have attachments but not let the fear of loss rule his actions or pull him towards the darkside. Many have speculated that Quai Gon was close to a gray Jedi, hence why he was at such odds with the council. Quai Gon saw the Jedi's dogma and realized Jedi should learn to have attachments and "control" their emotions, not to completely throw them away. Dave Folini (one of the showrunners of the mandalorian) explains why Duel of the fates was playing during the fight with Darth Maul. That fight determined the fate of Anakin and hence the fate of the galaxy.
@Delirium244 ай бұрын
that's... a complete misunderstanding of the jedi and attachment lmao. look up buddhist philosophy and their definition of "attachment." attachment isn't about love. it's fear, selfishness, and possessiveness. "i love you so i need you in my life and i won't let you go." detachment is about loving things and people but knowing how and when to let go. "i love you so i want you to be happy, with or without me." qui-gon wouldn't have "taught anakin how to have attachments," he would have taught him the same as the other jedi. there's also no such thing as a gray jedi. that's completely made up by the fandom.

They began banning and forbidding use of the dark side. Later other je'daii rebelled and the balance was lost. Some went dark. They were exiled. There is a behind the scenes section for Mando season 1... in one segment, Dave Filoni sits there with the other directors from the show and talks some wise shit to them... amongst those, he also talks about the duel against Darth Maul in Phantom Menace! The score that is played during this duel is called „Duel of fates“ cause this duel is literally about the future of Anakin and the galaxy! Darth Maul basically poisons that future with killing Qui-Gon Jin... Filoni reveals IF Qui-Gon would have survived, all this going downhill from now on wouldn‘t have happened cause he would have succeeded in training Anakin! That‘s what George Lucas himself revealed to him

In order for you guys to understand the downfall of Anakin better. I would suggest you taking the idea of Jedi’s being perfect out of your heads. Knowing the politics and the world more will let y’all understand how flawed the Jedi actually are. Don’t just look at it as they don’t take kids when their older so they won’t make connections, but also the don’t want you to already form your own persona so you could be easier to mold into jedi ways no questions asked... Anakin asked questions

yoda obi wan luke makes us like the idea of Jedi before we saw how they really operate...Lucas reset the wheel and ideal of jedi which was over exposed in media as cliche good for decades marketed as light vs dark until the late 90's where his new films changed that

the ship blowing up killing her which led to the upcoming war, also a reference to duke ferdinands car showing the licence plate number to the end of ww1, both events one real and one for a movie, george lucas drew inspiration off many real life events

Anakin is the way he is mostly because of Palatine's teachings and mentoring. For the last 10 years Palpatine was constantly feeding his ego and telling him that he should not repress his emotions.

As cool as some of the Jedi are a lot of them are judgemental and prejudice as hell. Mace does it all the time throughout many points in clone Wars and many other Jedi.
