Super cool video! Weirdly enough, most of my experience with this game is the gameboy version! Bare-bones for sure but I remember having a lot of fun with it! And my buddy and I played the 2 player n64 version and had an absolute blast! Thanks for sharing the video!!

Thanks for watching. I never played the GB version but I did use it's music for this video.

I feel like $10 to be able to play such an awesome classic game like this on modern hardware is absolutely worth it. I actually bought the Steam version for about $10 and have more than gotten my money's worth out of it!

Right? I've already played through all the races. I do kind of wish it had a harder difficulty option but it's not a big deal.

Loved this game as a kid! Felt very accomplished when you finally completed the last race and still kept going back playing well afterwards. It took me awhile before I found out there was the sequel let alone on the PlayStation, also great too. Awesome video!

Thanks! I only just learned about the sequel a couple of months ago from a friend. I'm gonna keep an eye out for it when I got retro game shopping now.

One pretty awesome thing not covered here: There's a cheat code in the original N64 release that allows for dual analog controls, using two controllers plugged into port 1 and port 3. When entering your name on an empty save file, hold the Z button down while tapping the L button to cycle through letters and enter RRDUAL Not sure how this code is implemented on the Switch. Also worth noting that a much more graphically impressive version of Episode I: Racer is available for the Sega Dreamcast.

I don't think it has that but instead has a similar option for motion controls. Though I didn't really mess with it so I can't be sure.
