I love this game so much. Literally spent so many hours playing this as a kid. The Theed level where u have to protect the queen was soooooo hard she kept dying every single time-. After I finally made it to the hangar I literally fell in tear. The tatooine level was amazing too with all the open world aspects. 9/10 game

I played the PC version sooooo many times on my family's computer growing up. I believe I've played it more than any other PC game we had at the time. Also another way to quickly kill Maul is to force push him down the pit. There is also a glitch on Tatooine you can do on both the PC and PS1 versions where if you kill Shmi after Anakin runs to the junkyard, Anakin slides over to you while standing still and says: "I won't help a murderer like you!" And then he starts to orbit around Qui-Gon non stop.

Dude this was one of my faves as a kid, and I specifically remember pausing the game repeatedly during the Gardens of Theed opening scene and it would lag out the explosion and the bridge wouldn't fall apart??? I need to go back and do it again but it indeed happened to me on a few occasions.

This is one of my favourite speedrun videos. Your commentary on your run is very insightful and interesting. It made me check out your channel and you have some really cool videos on there i love your star wars lore videos. I used to play this game a lot as a kid and i can say some of those jumps may not look too hard but they are, the platforming in this game is real bad. This game may be pretty bad and rushed but i really liked it as a kid mainly for the first 2 tatooine levels i think, they were just really unique for the time and it was very cool exploring those two levels with the very very light rpg elements. It is buggy as hell though even compared to some infamous modern releases this game has so many random bugs.

It's so funny watching this speedrun of one of my childhood defining games, especially when I see some of the skips being done that I did purely out of frustration or accident as a kid lmao. That theed one is the most funny to me, you can actually make it across even if you trigger the breaking animation. It's certainly not as easy looking as you made that though, crazy, well done on this.

It's so weird remembering all these levels. I loved this game when it came out, but my shitty junior high brain couldn't solve some of the weird puzzles for some reason. Back before I understood that PC's were master race, I also distinctly recall being mad that the PS1 version didn't look or sound nearly as good as the PC version, and that they axed features (I was impressed by some gaming magazine (yeah, remember those? Also, remember nested parentheses? Those were great (so great)) that talked about the game having like 50 different sound effects just for footsteps; I was so pissed when I found out the PS1 had none of that shit).

Have not played this in years and I still remember the master cheat code lmfao. Triangle, circle, left, L1, R2, square, circle, left…then I believe you had to scroll down to settings or something and push L1, select and triangle. This unlocked infinite health and level select options

at the time we had this game on pc our cousin showed us (my brother and me) a music programme called "Dance Ejay 2". Getting it back home and discovering you could import sound files, and finding all the Episode 1 sound files just sitting in a folder you can imagine what happened next. That's been done for Half-Life 2 and other games on IGN, the devs were pretty chill about it after all these years. I imagine it helps when it's a well crafted game that is considered a classic. Not sure it would be so chill about a movie tie-in they had to crank out quicker than ideal...

I discovered so many glitches and crap XD but i was young and internet wasnt really a thing so in escape from theed i just..... at the beginning i could get the queen past the statue. I didnt realize it was something you could push. So for weeks i was just killing everything and retrying it thinking she just kept getting stuck but ugh.... i finally worked out you could just push it

I played this when I was a little kid. I skipped the start of Corscuant all the way to around 30:00. I somehow fell from the hanger area, glitched through a wall and found myself there. This was on PC so likely different.

Years ago when I was a kid like single digit age, I used to play this game relentlessly, I was terrible at it but one time I remember doing something on this game that skipped the game from either the trade federation or naboo right the final phase of the Darth maul boss fight just after Qui-Gon's death scene. When it happened to me I was so young I kinda wasted it and ran into maul and died and never investigated why it did it. I've not really tried to replicate it as an adult because I wouldn't know where to begin, but if anyone could find out exactly what I did by accident as a kid you could bring this speedrun to under 10 minutes possibly. If I pulled it off by accident years ago it has to be in the game somewhere surely. I think all I can remember it having something to do with dying and loading the game again probably with some frustrated button mashing. Sorry but that's all I can remember, if anyone wants to have at it, reply to me and I'll try remember what I can.

This was wonderful to watch. I really enjoy Star Wars computer games, speed-running, and shot out for having a professional mic (RE20, if I'm guessing right). Quick question, in the moments after the cutscenes where both your hands and action was happening onscreen - was that the lag in action, or was did you pre-record the speed run and narrate it on camera.
