As great as the original trilogy is the prequels adds so much to the world building or in this case galaxy building. It really gives you a broader scope of everything going on. The failing Republic, the imperfect Jedi Order, the Sith, evil corporations with too much power, the chosen one prophecy and the clone wars. The politics really adds so much as well. Oh and the lightsaber fights are spectacular

That was actually another Rodian named Wald. Same species as Greedo, not same character. Alot of people confuse other Rodians with Greedo. But Greedo was meant to be in this movie. There's a deleted scene where Qui-Gon stops a scuffle between Anakin and Greedo and Wald tells Greedo that if he's not careful he'll meet a bad end.

The phantom menace ; is Darth Sidious ! who is the single greatest representation of the Sith emerging from - thought (extinction) .. but Darth Sidious plan was to infiltrate the republic and create division which would ultimately effect the Jedi order, .. which was his primary target!! so in this movie Darth Sidious creates a trade dispute preventing access via trade routes to Naboo, however Ben Kenobi’s master Qui Gon realised there is no purpose in it, thus allowing the senate to focus on a way in which to settle the dispute!! and at the same time without being detected!!!allow Darth Sidious the necessary time to begin play for a place within the senate and then make way for his true mission …. eradicate the Jedi order …. This trilogy was very different than people expected. It’s gotten a lot more love over the years, especially from people that grew up with it Yes! Sidious is indeed the future Emperor. The Queen and her handmaidens use a monotone robotic voice to better hide who the real queen is among them The Gungans use a pidgin tongue that combined Galactic Basic (english) with Gunganese words and speech patterns. Jar Jar is actually a big stepping stone for the improvement of motion capture effects. Without him, it might not be as good as it is today. Good eye catching Keira Knightly It’s not that big an age difference. Padme is 14 and Anakin is 9 or 10 Technically Anakin rebuilt 3PO. He found his parts. 3PO is a very old droid. Immaculate conception. Anakin is pretty much SW Jesus That wasn’t Greedo, that’s Wald. But kid Greedo was in a deleted scene fighting with Anakin because he thought he cheated in the race Hutts can live up to 1000 years. Jabba is in about 568 here Maul’s skin is red. This movie had a _lot_ of room for improvement, but the _combat_ strategy, once they got back to _Naboo,_ was _brilliant._ They _poured_ resources into a huge armed force, to make it look like they were going after _one_ particular target. Their analysts told them the battle would probably not be won, but it didn't matter, because _that_ was just a _diversion._ The _real_ target was something a much _smaller, inconspicuous_ force would be going after, using holes in defenses that appeared when they diverted forces they had to fight the _armed_ force.

Interesting fact! The chorus singing at the end celebration is actually a more upbeat and triumphant sounding version of The Emperor's theme from Return of the Jedi. And it's fitting if you think about it. Palpatine/Sidious/The Emperor's plans went off without a hitch. The only real winner of this movie was him.

This trilogy ties everything all together. You are sharp and one of the few to ever notice that there was a switch going on. Queen padme amidala Played by Natalie Portman switches, it is places frequentlee with her bodyguards one of them, Kiera Knightley. It adds another layer of security and allows the Queen to walk about everyday people In disguise To see things for herself.

Hola its thilling that your zooming back to the Stars Vanessa ✨🎬 It's been awhile there was a lot of hype with high expectations at the time , I can see why people feel mixed about it. There's much more lip service to the visuals with the CGI that was groundbreaking for the 90's & we are just getting to know the characters better but it does have that fast paced edge of your seat action star wars is known for, young kids are gonna enjoy some scenes more. I do like that there expanding on new worlds like dazzling cityscapes with waterfalls in space , the senate chamber was impressive to , it does feel like one of those Scfi wonder covers come to life. It's cool seeing a younger Obi wan Kenobi , Ewan McGregor practiced sounding like Alec Guinness he was thespian like in his delivery & was also nominated after 20 years for best supporting actor like Guinness who won. During fight scenes Ewan made lightsabuar noises which had to be corrected in post production , his braid part of jedi tradition that's cut by a lightsabuar when you become a full knight.Liam's always convincing & brings gravitas to his roles. A scene keep in was when he puts his hand on Shmi Skywalker's shoulder , Lucas felt it was out of character for a monk but Neeson wanted more of a emotional connection between the characters he said we have to have something for the adults. It's no surprise your confused by who's who playing the Queen, even Keira knightey mom had trouble telling her apart from Natalie, when it was released the producers ran a disinformation campaign , fans have been figuring out for years which actress played the queen or handmaiden at any given point , people really do need to get out more. When it comes to Anakin your wondering who's his father, some say it could just be the force itself or maybe it's emperor Palpatine who experimented on his mother maybe it's reveals later on Vane. I'm glad C3PO & R2D2 made a welcome return like old friends, ha ha I do like that sound R2 makes when there's trouble & C3PO complaining about being naked really , there's an idea about them that they are the main characters of star wars . They did try to make Yoda ( Sanskrit for warrior) CGI but the tech wasn't up to it quite yet but there was a long shot using it near the end. Jake Lloyd who played Annakin didn't carry on acting because he was constantly teased by other children & throught that the movie didn't live up fans expectations but he has been in several video games & shows up at events , I've never seen him. The Podraces were definitely a highlight , when the dice was thrown we were both thinking the same thing he's going to use the force ,I do recall that there was also a game out & it's been released since , credit goes to the sound effects there superb , the crowds were taken from a 49's football crowd , the action so hectic , I guess what makes it more exciting is that it's outlawed , it's amazing as a young boy he can do all that & shooting at droids during space battles. It is what singles this movie out from the others , children are underestimated in what their capable of , but those droids are so easy to destroy. The scene telling his mom he'll be back to free her was heartwarming. The showdown fight with Darth maul with the double sided light saber was awesome with the acrobatics , what was really at stake is how is Anakin going to turn out with Quigon being different from the rest of the jedi council who have lost their way , he knows he's the farther Anakin needs that's why it's the "Duel of the fates" , Yoda has to realize later on. When it came to the sets they were only as high as the actors heads , CGI filling in the rest , the funny thing is with Liam Neeson being so tall they had to construct a $150, 000 extra just for him. It has that classic adventure ending with good prevailing over evil but it also needs to make way for a much larger story , we already know it's Palpatine who's now the boss of the Galactic Republic who becoming the emperor & how it turns out , but why does Annakin turn to the dark side , hopefully you've avoided any spoilers , the clone wars is more of a twisted romance & more action packed if my memory serves me right , there's was also a animated film from 2008 & TV series that followed it , I've never seen so I don't know if it's highly recommend or not , I'm looking to how invested your gonna be & if you think it stands up as well to the original trilogy. Yes, that IS indeed Greedo who will get killed by Han Solo in the Cantina. There is a deleted scene where his name his heard... As a matter of fact Anakin didn't even kill Obi Wan despite striking him. Obi Wan went into the Force before the blade stroke him, remember that his cape began to fall earlier than the strike hitting him? Palpatine's name isn't heard in the original trilogy, unless you saw toy boxes of the mid 90s before the Prequels began production. Qui Gon didn't complete the secret training to go into the Force as Obi Wan did, aat least not enough to manifest himself the same way.

I was asleep. Well I am on the other side of the planet. I won't miss the next one I hope. 😢 There are some nice deleted scenes from episode II that you can watch.. there are scenes with Padme's parents and her sister. Also R2D2 played with Padme's sister's kids. The actor that plays her father appears in episode III, so everyone should watch him in episode 2 deleted scenes. The actor that plays Padme's father is from my country. So are the actors that played the Lars family on Tatooine. At least they didn't get cut too. There was an Australian actress in episode IV, but the scenes were deleted / cut. You can see them and the scenes from episode 2 here on KZbin.

For people who grew up with the original trilogy, the main criticism is on three things, Jar-Jar is more annoying than comic relief, the aesthetics of the ships don't look like antecedents to the ships in the original trilogy, they look like something completely different, and the midichlorians explanation of the force does not seem to match with Obiwan's explanation to Luke. The story itself is a good introduction to the original trilogy, with some disappointing points. Side note, growing up in Mexico I read a Mad Magazine parody in Spanish that called Obiwan "Ondefué", making his name "Onde fué Ke no bi" 😁

For all its issues, people tend to forget that George Lucas funded this ENTIRE trilogy out of his own pocket. It's a major AAA budget movie, funded by one man, who also wrote and directed it.He had 100% control over EVERY decision, the good and the bad. Contrast that to the vast majority of movies, who have LOTS of investors, who all have their own input on the final product.

When this movie first came out. I didn’t care Much for it having grown up with episodes 4-6. Later I came to like it along with the other prequels. Compared to the new movies, these are way better. I hope to see reactions to the next movies soon. Halloween is just around the corner. I hope you have some awesome scary movie reactions planned.
