Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power Season 2 finale wrapped up the story of Celebrimbor, but the showrunners are still out giving interviews. The season 2 answers simultaneously show a more shallow method of script planning, while also trying to have depth. The depth seems to be simply mirroring moments at the start and end of a story arc though, and often what they think is iconic, makes the scene more laughable. There seems to be a mismatch between the intention and the execution. Reaching for depth and meaning but never quite managing to make that a reality within the show itself. But hopefully this is something I can go into more in a part 2, as thorugh all the interviews this video just scrapes the surface. But what did you think of what you saw? Let me know your thoughts down below and always, thanks for watching :)

The fact that the actor for Not Gandalf didn't want to know who his character was reminds me of an opposite reaction from my all time favorite actor Alan Rickman on playing Snape in the HP films. He had to know who his character was more than anyone else on set did (including the directors, whom he had to disagree with on more than one occasion) and only he and JK Rowling knew he was a double agent from the beginning. Jesus, that's on the same level of plausible as Faenor returning to Valmar after realizing that the Silmarils weren't really that important in order to make good with Manwe and Melkor realizing the error of his ways. And Sauron not being a cruel and thoroughly evil immortal being interested in nothing beyond domination. Bah, what do I know? @@davorzdralo8000 I mean, it seems inevitable. I haven't read Lolita, and never will, but it seems like the book can only end up being a haven for monsters because no normal person will touch it unless they have a reason. It's disturbing as hell, and most people don't like to be disturbed. And even those who defend it's literary merit - if it has any - typically do not call it a favorite. Which is the other blazing red flag. When I say I read Crime and Punishment and liked the book, it is pretty obvious that I found Raskolnikov, or Rodina as he is called, somewhat sympathetic. And my enjoyment of the book is partly that I find character interesting, and did not feel noxious when reading his point of view - his murder of the innocent sister of the pawn broker is obvious bad, but I'm being honest when I say that as a man, murder doesn't disgust me when you are trying to save your family. Murder is bad, but the act of killing, without trying to cause unnecessary suffering, is not an act of moral turpitude such as r4pe When someone says Lolita is or was their favorite book, that suggests that reading it brought them pleasure. That is basically admitting they are sympathetic to pdf file material. That it does not viscerally disgust them.

The kiss existed to distract _the audience,_ not Adar or the orcs, because Adar and the orcs didn't have the audience's meta-knowledge. So the kiss distracted the audience from seeing the key, but the orcs looking directly at the actions of two random elves shouldn't have cared and should have seen the passing of the key. Exactly. It's despicable. And he was absolutely lying to himself thinking they were going to make the wizard anyone but Gandalf - that was obvious to anyone with a brain. It's just like the people who somehow convinced themselves during S1 that Halbrand wasn't Sauron or that it was "a mystery". I'd somehow respect him MORE if he just *admitted* he likes getting interviews and being invited to premieres so he just says what he has to, rather than constantly trying to tell people criticizing him in the comments (including me) over his lukewarm "criticism" of the show that that's "just how he actually feels". I REFUSE to believe any actual Tolkien fan who is being honest with themselves wouldn't absolutely tear them a new one for the insane Galadriel/Sauron crap, writing the whole 1st season "not knowing" who the wizard was, being so dense that they didn't think anyone would care or be immensely annoyed by Elrond unnecessarily and obviously romantically kissing Galadriel and the billion other things they messed up. I mean, they aren't just not following the lore - I'd be fine with them straying if it were a good story - they're disrespecting Tolkien's work and his world. Also the showrunners trying to act like their show is better than Jackson's movies because they included Tom Bombadil is.. hilariously terrible. I'd much much prefer a story that excludes Tom altogether than a show that writes Tom the way this show did.
