@Joe Mama Well most of them at least. I've seen them part ways with a few of them ... mostly because of their attitude. I won't mention names but, they're doing fine on their own, and are probably where they should be but, I feel Ellie is the sincerest of the group ... and the most lovable. I really love her personality and compassion.

5:58 I watched this film in the theatre as a child and have watched it many times since then. I just realized the foreshadowing of C3PO calling Luke, "Sir Luke" who will become a knight (Jedi Knight)

From the corner of my eye I saw something glistening, I looked over and it was Ellie... with her eyes just glazed over. I 'went back' to the scene being played like as if maybe I missed something(?) and it was 'just' old Ben talking about the Force. I looked back at Ellie, smiling and tearing up at this... then I started tearing up. Honestly. Had to wait before I could start typing. As a kid that was there when it came out, some scenes still make me instantly smell the weird rancid buttered popcorn and steely air conditioning in the cinema that day... but your tears, wow, are now a welcomed addition to my so-ingrained memories of this flick and I thank you for that.

Out of all The Homies, Ellie and Lia are my current favorites. I used to like Michelle a lot, but I think she's getting a big head, and that's knocked her down a bit in my mind. Ellie has always been consistent, never changing, which is what I want, and Lia is so much fun. They are both so beautiful, it makes it hard to L👀K at the movie sometimes ... probably why they now, switch back and forth between showing them and the movie.

Amazing reaction, one of the best you've shared! I was 9 years old and saw the first Star Wars in the only theater that was showing it in Phoenix, Arizona US. We waited HOURS in line to get in. My child brain was overwhelmed and we talked about the movie for WEEKS after seeing it! So glad Lia is getting to experience it!

Also, as I am sure others have mentioned, George Lucas changed the original movies MULTIPLE times with more CGI and it's sort of difficult to find the original film. The man just cannot leave it alone.

Keep in mind unless your watching the original theatrical version, you will see the Special Edition added scenes which have CG inserted in. For instance, Jabba was not in the theatrical release, a human actor was in the place where Jabba was inserted. Han Solo shoots first in the cantina against Greedo.

I felt a great bliss come to the force with Lia and Ellie. Congrats on one of the best reactions I have ever seen. I was about 8 years old when the movie was released and always feel Star Wars should make everyone who watches it feel like a kid. So happy this movie still holds up.

1. Sir Alec Guinness/Obi-Wan didn't want the part. Being a Shakespearian actor, he thought the entire idea was silly and was beneath him, but his wife talked him into taking the part. 2. The smirk and shrug by Chewie after he scares the tiny droid is classic.🤣 3. These movies were put out in a certain order because there was limited technology and Lucas used and pushed forward the images needed to make a quality product. The best way to watch the is in the order they came out. We had to wait years for the next one. There was no internet where we had access to them whenever we wanted. 4. Did you catch the stormtrooper hit his head? 5. GOOF: When Luke and Leia swing to the other side the stormtroopers that were there shooting at them are now gone.🤔 6. The only CGI in this film were put in the 25the anniversary addition are the critters the stormtroopers were riding at the beginning of the search for the robots, a couple of the huge critters outside the pub and the scene with Jabba the Hutt. Those were put in later after CGI was available. Otherwise, everything is what we had in 1977. 7. Obi-Wan sacrificed himself after he told Vader he would be stronger than ever. He went back into the force. He knows it's Luke's job to take over. 8. The awkwardness in the detention space is because Ford forgot his lines. It was kept in the movie anyway because it worked. 9. The next two are the best of the series. Enjoy! 10. Two movies where Harrison Ford is not Han Solo or Indiana Jones that get little notice but would be great first time/shares are "Witness" and "Force 10 From

The movie came out in 1977.. The special effects in this version were made in the late 1990s. They've updated the effects at least twice.. Original: Han Solo shoots Greedo first First Update: Greedo shoots first and Han Solo dodges the blast like The Flash and shoots Greedo Second Update: Han Solo shoots first again

While the special effects were indeed very good and ahead of their time for 1977, there was CGI added to later cuts of the movie that were not in the original. For example Hans Solo talking to Jabba the Hut was filmed for the original but not shown. It had a human actor as a stand in--when Has Solo called Jabba a "fine human being" he was talking to a human actor representing Jabba.

the effects absolutely still hold up today, as it would still take master craftsmanship to do it the way they did it, even now. you can try and try till you get it perfect in a computer and all you have to worry about is time... but the way they did it, you only had so many attempts to get it right before you start seriously wasting budget. OG star wars truly has brilliant special effects

When they Remastered this Episode (In 1997) they used CGI to Create Jabba. But in the Third Movie (Episode 6), Jabba was done with Practical Effects. He looked better in "Return of the Jedi".

Hey Ellie. The Special Effects and the movie as a whole have been remastered by George Lucas once and probably more since 1977. But at that time, we had never seen anything like it. The Light Speed jump by Han Solo''s ship The Millenniam Falcon was other-worldly to us back in the day. People p were known to go to see the Movie, just called Star Wars, not A New Hope, 8 or 9 times.😃

These are not '77 effects. George Lucas re-edited Star Wars many times with modern graphics. If you really want to see THE original Star Wars from 1977, that was shown in theaters, there's this Project 4K77 - some guy found the original physical film that was shown in the theaters in 1977, digitalized it, upscaled it to 4K resolution and now you can find it online. Same goes for Project 4K80 and 4K83 for the last two films. Watch those if you really want to experience authentic Star Wars.
