Can't wear full coverage rigid armoured helmets that cover their Lekku, they have to be flexible otherwise it would impede head movement. Note that damage to the upper area of the lekku can cause brain injury. And realistically the gaps for lekku affect the structural integrity of the helmet. Imagine a motorbike helmet for a Twi"lek competing in motor GP.. Unless they can curl them up into a spiral bun and tuck then inside the substantially bigger helmet - I've thought about this, I used to have spiral curls to my lower back and ride a bike. Bend over twist hair into long snake, keep twisting and coil snake at top of head, but of extra padding. Put on helmet, stand upright and turn around, be completely oblivious as to why the crowd was looking at me from behind.

I love all your videos. Just want to point out one biological detail from Legends EVERYONE forgets. In the book where Obi-wan became Jinn's padawan. Kenobi became friends with a Twi’lek and discovered they must eat a type of crystal to regulated their bodies, but eating salt dehydrates them and requires them to eat more crystals. I loved that little detail, but I've never heard a KZbinr mention that.

It's the classic 'planet of hats' effect you also see a lot in star trek. The first Hutt we meet is a crime lord? ALL the Hutts are now crime lords. Twi'lek used as a slave? In a Genesys campaign I was in that unfortunately got cancelled, I played a twi'lek slave. Our party worked for a hutt named Nomra, and I was lent out to the rest of the party- mercenaries, almost exclusively- to help with the more nuanced of situations; Social Combat, as the system refers to it. For a while, I would be sent in to talk to people to try and get past security in plain sight, meet with people through methods that no one would see as suspicious- no traipsing about through sewers, or crawling through ventilation ducts- and generally help the party bypass encounters entirely. Over time, we had a contact in the form of a mandalorian who contracted us after seeing us get so much work done, impressed by how we played off of each other's abilities. Even when violence broke out, I ended up being skillful enough to smooth things over in the end. As such, the mandalorian paid to effectively rent me from the hutt, ensuring the team could stay together. During this period, I got a few weapons that could be hidden even on what little clothing I had access to, as well as the training to use it both openly, and stealthily. Not long after this, we got ourselves a ship, and with a few sessions of motivation and training from the mandalorian, I was marching around, barking orders at dock security about why we haven't been cleared for takeoff yet, or why haven't you secured our spot in the queue yet as though I had any actual authority, and they were listening, going out of their way to accommodate our group. Ultimately, I was given the role of captain of our ship, and was responsible for all of our dealings, including jobs with the general public; taking and ferrying passengers who could pay from one world to another. And as an added bonus to sweeten the ride, what other ships were people going to hire where the captains themselves were the entertainment, dancing on a pole, 'giving companionship' in private, etc...? We made so much money.
