The lesson learned is that the Jedi misunderstood the nature of the Force. It's not that the Force is on the side of the good guys. Anakin did bring balance by teaching this lesson to Luke through his actions to correct the ways of the Jedi, but also not to be totally ruled by emotion like the Sith. Too bad the creators of the new series missed or ignored this

Carmen Johnson No, it was implied in the novelisation and early drafts of the script. Even the final film has Anakin saying to Padme "Obi-Wan was here" and "You're with him".

Kioumaars Taeed there was lots of chi added in the special edition but the original movies had scale models and stop motion so they were still using real physical objects
