0:45. This is a really clever shot. Your eyes are drawn to the Star Destroyers, naturally. So you don't notice the TIE fighters until they get closer and come out from the shadow of the destroyers, making their appearance more surprising as a result. 21 seconds in and I am in love with it already. Nothing cooler than seeing the Rebel Fleet just causing through space. Fighters zipping by, capital ships so large they seem to be unmoving against the backdrop of the blackness of space. So cool. How much post processing and what kind of work was done in post? (was Adobe After Effects used?) Thank you a lot for this eye candy.

My guess, Blender, probably didn't take longer than a couple days judging by how Eevee (as opposed to cycles which would take far longer) was used (if you look very closely at 1:06 you can see that the Tie-Fighter is slightly transparent, a common sign of people using Eevee. Post Processing wise, no clue, although I believe most of it would've been done in Blender if it was made in Blender.

one thing I really loved was the engine glow of the xwings that was really good
@tearstoneactual97733 жыл бұрын
There is one glaring flaw I'd point out. X-wings have an atomospheric flight speed of 1,000 kilometers per hour. This gives them a flight speed of 278 meters per second. They are significantly faster in space, or are supposed to be. Most star destroyers are around 1 kilometer long. So flying along a star destroyer's broadside should only take 4 to 5 seconds to cover the entire length. The side shot here takes too long, unless they were flying slower for a purpose. This is just a small technical detail first noticed in the approach to the star destroyer, that even with the perspective it was too slow, though amazing for showing scale. Also missing is the sound of the X-wings deploying their S-foils. Everything else is *awesome* can't stress that enough. The model and texture work, the lighting, the overall sequences were great. George Lucas would have sold his soul for this back in 1976/1977.
