@@Citizen13 A lot depends on if the outfit fits you perfectly. James' belt in this video didn't fit really well; it was all wrinkled and messy under the "leather" belt. You'd also have to make an Inner Tunic for under the tunic shown here, as ITs are a requirement for Rebel Legion.

FYI for the Belt that comes with the Tunic a good recommendation to avoid clips coming off like it did in this video is you can do other option like changing the connector parts or maybe use a velcro strap

Sir James decided to buy the tunic, belt, and robe in Batuu. Definitely worth the credits. I priced out trying to make it and definitely worth it. I agree the robe with a slot for the blade would be nice but looking to modify it . Would highly recommend it. I purchased a set of jedi garments prior and the quality was really cheap and the cost about the safe as Batuu.

Both Sith and Jedi costumes are heavily influenced by Japanese medieval fashion. The fabric belt is known as the "Obi" and the attached front sashes are known as "tabards". There's probably a Japanese name for the the tabards but it escapes me at the moment.

I dress as a Jedi whenever I do an event I was very interested in what you were showing. Thank you. The fabric almost looks like calcutta---which is what used to be sold a very very long time ago and now can't get it at all, as I have a tunic made out of that material. Once I get a chance to go to Galaxy Edge I'm going to very seriously look at the Jedi tunic and decide to possibly add it to my Jedi costumes. I'm also going to look very closely at the Jedi belt and food capsules to see whether they will work for me.

JokerAsylum actually, it’s the Episode 2 Kenobi lightsaber. It gets taken from him upon his capture on Geonosis. The Phantom Menace version was similar, but obviously lost down the same shaft as Maul.

Brilliant to see a review of the costume. As a SW costumer - and no, I'm not going to be all heavy and knock the costume, I really like it - I was just going to say that for the obi (the cloth belt part) you'll really want to add some velcro to the back, rather than use the little clips. That will mitigate the problem you had with it slipping apart. You either sew in the velcro, or use a barge glue (applying to both the belt (where the velcro will go) and also the back of the velcro pieces, let go tacky for about 5 mins or so and then apply the velcro to the ends of the obi and apply pressure for 20 mins or so. You'll then have a real solid fixture. You can also make the velcro good and long and that will help get the obi a little tighter around your waist. You can also easily pick up third party 'food capsules' that you can then add to you belt if you want to.... looking great and thanks again for the insight and video :-)

The biggest gripe I have with the costume(without being too hard on it, like you said) is the obi. I don't understand why they couldn't just add the extra fabric length and make it a proper obi. Would have been much simpler to wear and no bits that can pop off. Other than that seems like a good deal for people wanting to get into the SW costume world.

The name for the shoulder pieces are called drapes, I think. Nice video!! Looking good in the Jedi outfit. A tip for the belt: do not have the clips on you back, but rather to the back and a bit sideways where the pouch is or to the side where the lightsaber clip is (preferably the pouch is a better option) so that its constantly hidden . Are there any different colors for the tunic?

Look at red5va's video called "lightsaber blade holder" this way you won't need a pocket in your robe and you can just attach it to your belt for very cheap

97% polyester is NOT a good thing. It might "feel" nice, but that's going to get very hot. Not great for walking around a park all day, especially in summer. You can get very good Jedi robes and entire costumes online made of much better material, like cotton, which breathes much better. There are a few seller who can even provide custom color pallets.

The belt clip is kind of funny though since the retention seems to be so good where the clip interfaces with the lightsaber, but is so weak where it actually hangs on your belt. So really, it might not let go of the lightsaber but I do think there's a chance if you jostle it enough the whole contraption can come off your belt all at once...

And it kind of sucks that it's a two-handed ordeal to remove the lightsaber. Yes I know it's fake and you're not really going to use it as a weapon, but I think for it to be like theme accurate, it should have a retention system that's both secure and fast to draw. I think if the nub was held in by like spring tension where it takes a good yank upward to break free from it, that would still work to not have it fall out on its own but at the same time you can remove the hilt with only one hand.

I would want to put on the belt and wear the saber while walking around. I was wearing a Poe Dameron style look and had a Jedi Belt with the LightSaber at my side with no issues the cast members who are well in character will tell you to be careful with the first order and often the Troopers walking about who notice the saber may say something so it's all fun :)

Went to Galaxy's Edge Orlando this weekend and got the Jedi Robe and belt but they were sold out of the Jedi tunics.... soooo bummed. Wear a brown t-shirt backwards. The higher neck look adds a lot. Brown dress pants and some costume boots from Amazon and you're good (except for the robe).

At the price those things are it's surprising the blades are even that bright. The electronic boards are the absolute freaking bare minimum. Did you see the clash effect? You have to wack them so hard and there is a half second delay. My Neopixel/Proffie Starkiller from Korbanth has instant clash from tapping a finger on the blade... but at 3x the price I guess it's unfair to compare. lol

You could have spent more time adjusting everything, it's all bunched up still. The cloth belt is called an Obi. The hanging pieces are called tabards. And the clip is called a Covertec clip. They originated from cell phones.

To be fair the smallness of the child's belt probably didn't help with the bunching and the hanging pieces are a stole for some reason people confuse stoles, tabards and scapulars all the time.

My current Jedi robes I got from cosplaysky years ago (yeah I know a Chinese company making things that are barely accurate if at all) don't really fit me anymore, so I've been looking for an alternative that isn't going to pretty much demand an arm, a leg, and half my midi-chlorian count, lol. Anyone, those had no mechanism to hold the shoulder pieces in place and they fell off often. My mom has some experience with sewing and so she took some of that, and got it sewn onto the shuolder pieces and the shoulders of the tunic itself and that did the job well enough.

Wanting to order the tunic online as can't go to galaxy's edge but not sure what size to get. I'm 5'4 and usually get an xs or s. Not sure if the xxs/xs or the s/m will fit best.

I'm planning on buying an ultra saber Graflex SE with obsidian sound design with gesture recognition. But I really need to know where to get quality Anaken ROTH robes. I'm planning on dressing up on May the 4th at my school as I'm a senior and a diehard Star Wars fan. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
