It makes sense they'd ask you not to use your own Kyber Crystal for at least 3 reasons 1 - You paid for it 2 - It's not imersive if you bring your own Kyber Crystal 3 - They probably calculate how many Kyber Crystals a day are sold with Lightsabers.

I just wouldn’t want to cause trouble for the cast members. If I used my yellow and then some others saw it the. Wondered “why didn’t I get to choose yellow” or whatever dumb stuff people come up with, then it’s becomes an issue with the guest and cast member and just why.. it’s not worth it. I’d rather everyone have a good time and respect their rules.

Although it would be funny if you still picked out the crystal they offer you then as you build, you secretly swapped the crystal and then see their reaction. With their permission of course.

Two things... 1. They should offer all the colors to begin with then there's no problem. 2. If they're going to exclude any color it should be red and they should make it part of the show if you sneak in a red kyber crystal because only Sith use them. It would make the experience more emersive if they didn't offer Sith crystals along with the Jedi colors and then made it part of the show if you show yourself as a Sith. That to me would make it more worth it. I can't really judge the quality of the lightsaber itself without having one in hand but the show seems like really not much of anything for $200. More options for builds, more emersive experience, then $200. As it looks right now I'd say it's more like $50-100. I have a custom Lightsaber kit at home that is much cheaper I can do a lot more with it. The quality is maybe not as good but I like the amount of options it has for a lot less money. It's like from around the time Episode 2 came out and more modern build your own lightsaber sets still aren't quite as good as that one was. Though I do like that the pieces seem to be unique and not based on designs we've seen before. Like that Rancor tooth is pretty cool. I just don't think it's $200 cool... I wanna take all four trays home for $200.

DariusQ well they are on a timer before yoda allows the Sabers to activate so if everyone is looking for parts then it’s gonna eat up time. They also can’t have it so that there is someone that activates the interaction manually because they could go past the allotted 15 minute timeframe and cause cuter groups to be delayed and extra rooms ruins immersion

@Smash Revino I see what you mean, but if you have never heard of the Rexin Around show, they talk about an awful experience of 2 peoples taking to long making them delay both the group before and his group. so I see what you mean $215 is far more than what I think 15 minutes is worth, but more than one group is going on in a 2-3 hour time frame. also more parts def. need to be added, but then people will complain that they couldn't get them because they came before. TLDR; people will be mad no matter what.

Savi’s custom lightsabers cost $199.00 plus tax. It includes a custom hilt, blade and carrying case. And the show! You must show up ASAP and pay for your “appointment” then return when the gatherers are ready for you. The show is about 14 minutes long and it’s amazing. The gatherers politely ask that you do not use your own crystal and you use one of theirs. The blades included with Savi’s custom lightsabers will work with the legacy lightsabers from Dok-Ondars Den of antiquities. The inner hilt is plastic all the outer pieces are heavy and metal. The whale bone, and wood in the elemental nature theme are small rubber panels on the metal sleeve. The whale bone is a hard plastic attached to a metal pommel. The bone has holes in it to allow sound to escape. All crystals from Dok-Ondars will work with Savi’s lightsabers and can change the color and sounds. The black kyber crystal still creates a red blade, but makes a unique sound in your lightsaber and has a unique effect in the sith holocron. Black kyber crystals are 1:100 odds of getting one. You can shine a light through the capsule to see what color is inside your sith crystal. Any other questions?

David Torok there are expensive character (legacy) lightsabers in Dok Ondar’s den of antiquities. They’re as well made as these and some are even a cheaper price. I’m gonna make one of these and buy Vader’s lightsaber.

The build-your-owns here come with their own carrying bag as part of the experience, and it has protective padding for safe transport. The Legacy ones however require you to buy the "sheath" and blade separate from the hilt.

Careful. You have to check it in on the plane. Air Canada lost my blade. I now only have a hilt and it really sucks. They didn’t care at all.

@@johnw6272 They all look amazing, but im going with Elemental first. Reason being is back in the day playing the Star Wars RPG my Jedi built a lightsaber from a Krayt Dragons tooth....(ill settle for rancor). I also like the leathery handle, but the bone looks good too. The swirling pattern on some of the central pieces looks incredible so thats going to be a hard choice in the end. For my crystal im going with Purple, (ill be buying ALL colors and holocrons afterward, but the sabers true color is purple as it was again from my RPG days. And that was even before 1999 so I did purple blade saber before Mace Windu was even around). My second choice is Knowledge and Defence because the aged ancient pieces look incredible as well. If I have enough to build two, thats what ill be doing. However....im also very torn by wanting a legacy Darth Maul lightsaber, yes i know i have to buy 2 in order to get the Whole thing, plus blades for about 400. But that double bladed saber is Freaking Beautiful... *siiiigh* so many delightful choices.

Believe it or not, that's kind of the intention with Peace and Justice while protection and defense are semi-based on the Old Republic era (within the current canon, temple guard lightsabers are apparently that old and passed down from one guard to another)

@@lordnul1708 So Peace and Justice is the ancient one without the writings, now I wish I could combine Peace and Justice with Protection and Defence, but thats way to much money to drop on it. Maybe I can find someone to let me exchange my Protection and Defense hilt parts with Peace and Justice, like putting a PJ bottom and a PD top. Is that even allowed?

@@UlmaroPerez not sure but there are some significant differences in the lore, such as when the parts were built and PD can have the gold/silver parts on it while PJ uses "durasteel" and other "practical" material. Basically it's more that PD is the ancient one while PJ is more modern. However while it's probably not allowed with one purchase (idk as I've yet to afford the trip myself) I don't see a reason why you couldn't combine some parts between sets.

Ok I'm super curious now. If I understand Darth Mauls Legacy Saber comes with a connector for if you buy two. Can that adapter be used on the custom sabers? I'd love to make a pair of symmetrical sabers and connect them 😅

No, there isn’t a place for the adapter on Savi’s custom sabers. The same blades don’t even work on legacy lightsabers.

A question: The credits you get for flying the falcon and doing the jobs for either side - Do they get a chance to buy real merch/food/experiences in the land or are they more for show off? If they are real you can easily take a share of the pricier stuff and afford more items. Johan.

No they are to buy digital items in the play Disney app. Some items are only available by unlocking them with credits in the app
