Hey Quinton. I'm a CM who works at Galaxy's Edge and I just wanna say I'm sorry that some of us take the immersion thing a bit too seriously at the cost of simple inconvenience. In reality, we're taught to break character when a guest either doesn't want to play along or in your case just needs simple direction - even then most of my castmates try to give the most basic information in the most "Star Wars-y" way. The CM you were talking to was either trying to be the best Batuuan or was being a prick. I mean shit when it comes to the bathroom thing we just point it. I argue "restrooms" is universal. But I'm just speaking for myself. Regardless, I'm happy you had an overall good experience and have a good night. I would say "till the spire" but I figure you need a break.

If you think about it, a problem with this kind of "serious" roleplay is that it doesn't even make sense, because it doesn't allow the status quo to change. It's the same for people who "live in the 19th century" and stuff like that. I mean if it really was real, then the staff members would start to pick up on what hundreds of customers were saying "Oh the ride? Yeah you mean the portal to Pabools, I don't know why everybody calls it ride, but it's that way." You'd say you want to pay in dollars and at first they would refuse, but then not to lose customers they'd start to give prices in dollars. They would realize that the lightsabers aren't really working and stop selling them as such. Customers would tell them the english translation of that star wars language and so they'd start putting alternate directions on the signs...
