The BMF retailed for $129.99 when it came out in 08-09. Adjusted for inflation that’s $185.22. It came with an exclusive Han and ANH Chewie. Also had the mini rig starfighter escape pod. And lights and sounds and missiles. Only down side was how it wasn’t the right layout inside which wasted a lot of interior space. The BMF rereleased a year or two ago with two figures and was $500 despite the BMF being a 12+ year old mold and the Chewie that came with it was 16+ years old and the Hondo was the same as the mainline release. Adjusted for inflation that’s $590 now. Ghost is somehow $500 with four figures that will all be mainlined and has the potential for multiple releases like the BMF. People have also demanded the Ghost in TVC since 2014 when Rebels started. People also asked for those characters in TVC since then only to get 5POA crap. They want $500+ and a year wait for this and no airlock halls, playable cargo bay, Phantom I, proper playable Phantom II that’s actually a shuttle, missing half the crew, and the way they’re missing a ton of surface exterior details like the proton torpedo tubes and the six escape pod circles. The cargo bay doesn’t have the opening floor or sliding mag lock for cargo; NO CARGO, not even the jump speeder or Kanan’s speederbike. The Phantom doesn’t have the ladder going down from underneath it either. These are a part of the Ghost’s nostalgic appeal and key memories from the show. And this toy has unopening sides wasting a bunch of interior space. The barge manages the entire interior having play spaces but this can’t? The cargo hold and phantom should have been scaled up to achieve having a playback cargo hold and a useful shuttle. They’re also selling sabine for $28 extra plus whatever Chopper is running these days. Sorry man but you clearly did not ask the right questions with your access/platform.

All of those things would have been awesome, but that's a level of detail/features that aren't particularly realistic, Even the Big Falcon didn't have the level of interior/scope you're talking about. It is what it is.

@@tetsuoswrath You're basically asking for a 2 story high spaceship with a full interior all perfectly scaled to the figures, which, as a concept is something that would be without peer in any toy ever produced to my knowledge. (and if there is one, name it and I'll retract that statement) I think it's safe to objectively say that's not a realistic ask, especially for any kind of price point that's remotely reasonable. Again, even the sail barge and the big Falcon were scaled down in order to be feasible as toys.

@Haslab - how do the front-gunner get in and out? Why do you not make the door operable and maybe make the seat remoavble to avoid something breaking. Its annoying to see such a fine ship not being a little more true to the movie version. It's like the many models of the Millenium Falcon that has no real hallway from the cockpit to the main body of the ship. ;o)

In Star Wars Rebels the Ghost had a hatch behind the gunner that gave access to the rest of the ship via a passageway under the cockpit floor. The creators took inspiration from the B-17 Flying Fortress of World War 2 fame when designing the ship for Rebels.

The problem with this is that it's NOT BIG ENOUGH! Hasbro always has a problem with scale, and I don't remember the crew having to bend double to go up the access ramp! 😂 I know sacrifices have to be made, they always do and always have, a Millennium Falcon in accurate 3.75 scale would have to be nearly 5 feet long! But Ghost does look niiice...😁👍

Perfect toy but … what are missing here ; why no led lightening panels or at least some led details even could have added some sound effects , especially engine bay with leds. Secondly, from entrance of the shuttle to cockpit why no passage detail because we see the ladder attached to passenger bay so they could have also designed a detachable cockpit to remove the cockpit bay to see the corridor from the entrance of shuttle. It would be a lovely detail also and might have given some 2 decked design to the ship as a taste. If they added these details to this design , this toy would have been the best must buy product. Still so expensive but thinking to back and if I purchase this I will probably try to add sound effects and some leds. The problem how to add led without drilling or damaging the plastic structure to save originality.

Jazwares Micro Galaxy Squadron Ghost is even more elaborate than this beauty. It'll feature both Phantom shuttles as well with the First version available now. Hopefully drops on July 21st as mentioned.

I keep thinking that there has to be a limit to the size scope and complexity of these campaigns, but with cat's layer and this I now know the sky is the limit. And it's really a good problem to have as a collector. So many different options and choices. I may not be in on this campaign but I definitely support what it's trying to do

That cat's lair is stupid big. I highly doubt that's going to make it. People need room toe display it and it takes up a huge amount of space and I see no point in buying something that big and expencive to leave it in box.

I agree! There were several Geiger/Aliens design references in CW (I know this is Rebels) so I wouldn't be surprised at all if they drew inspiration when designing this. Just another reason I love the design!

@@Melvin-belvinwrong. You’re confusing the Rebels concept art of the ghost made to look like the RM Falcon paintings. The Ghost is 100% just the Narcissius turned around and bubble turrets added. The shroud the Phantom I tucks into is also a reference to the way the Narcissus deployed from the Nostromo.

@@Melvin-belvin i can say that too doesn’t make it true kid. The Ghost art you’re thinking of is based off the RM style but the ship design is literally the Narcissus facing backwards with bubbles added. You’re confusing the artwork you’ve seen online for the ghost that was made to look like RMs Falcon concepts but was not made by him. Dave simply copied the Narcissus and added greeblies to that. I have models and references of both ships and he even left on most of the panels from Alien ship. Sorry but you’re still wrong and it’s pretty sad that you’re trying to make stuff up to sound like you were right.

I keep saying, I don’t want this ship. But I’m actually reconsidering that now. Cause, I’m already saving up for the original legacy, millennium falcon, but I’m trying to decide if I should have my mom save up money for this. I got one question, by any chance, do you still have that legacy falcon from 2008? If not, that’s OK, cause I can save up for that ship and I can have my mom save up for the ghost. I really hope this doesn't fund. What an overpriced, obscure piece of crap. I predict it will hit the funding goal in the next couple weeks, and then drop below the funding goal either near the end of the campaign or right after the campaign closes. The tiers are INSANELY optimistic. 10K should be the top tier for this, the figures are obviously baked into the list price, so just include them from the start, and for $500, it should obviously include the entire crew. People are going to start dropping out once they realize they have no chance of getting the last two tiers. Stop pushing forward with obscure garbage like this. Millennium Falcon, AT-AT, Luke's X-Wing, Vader's TIE- these should ALL be readily available, and instead they're doing idiotic waves and limited releases of everything and then never going back to rerelease. What a frustrating line to collect.
