Great video Mike! I like the Cantina, but I'm still on the fence about it. Mainly because I have no way to display it! If I back it, it will be the non-deluxe version. One figure I feel they should've put in this offering is a modernized blue Snaggletooth. The vintage figure was packed in with the vintage cantina playset when you bought it from Sears. Would've been a nice homage.

I wish they saved that Greedo for the mainline and gave us an Ackmena instead... but 6 figures is a pretty good way to justify the cost.... that is about $110 USD if retail. They were smart to attach the Tonnika Sisters to it, since collectors have literally been begging for them for over 25 years. It will fund easily...but I hope people will go ahead and back it and not hold out...so we will get all 6 figures to help offset the cost. I backed two...plan to pick up a few extra shifts to cover it. They don't charge you until July 8th at 11:59 EDT, so I have nearly a month to budget for them and set aside the funds. It's like you said, everything costs so much these days... you don't have to take too many items back out of your shopping cart to be able to save enough to get it. I know people who buy an $8 coffee every day, which I was guilty of until I figured out I was paying about $3,000 a year on coffee. So about three years ago I decided to cut out coffee and use that for my budget to fund any Star Wars and G.I. Joe Haslabs for the year. This year, I cut out smoking to cover other big ticket items and crowdfunders that I might want from other lines. Just about anyone can cut back enough wasteful spending to create a budget so they can afford to back a crowdfunder they want right off of the bat...without having to worry about how they're going to come up with funds in such a short time...and possibly get healthier by cutting out a vice in the process. Also, if you wait and get it later on the aftermarket, you'll pay twice as much, so that's TWO you could have backed. That's why I usually back two...to help everyone reach all of the tiers, and I hold onto the extra one until it's selling for twice as much. Then I sell it and mine was basically free. But, I hope collectors don't miss out getting it now, because they'll definitely kick themselves later when they have to pay twice as much. YOU CAN DO IT!...if you really WANT to.

Hello Mike, I don't collect the Vintage figures so I'm not going to back this project myself. I do hope it backs for those who want it. Unfortunately the times we live in it's difficult to afford to put food on the table and heat or cool our homes. Not to mention the cost for medical needs many of us have. I just hope it reaches all the tiers but if doesn’t they’ll probably release those figures in a 4 pack in the future. This is the one Star Wars set I have always wanted. Perhaps it will sell in the same ballpark as the throne room, which sold under 10k? The price will be a deterrent to some consumers for certain. The real question I have, is whether people are fine with only getting three figures, instead of all six, because reaching 17k in sales (to hit all tiers) seems extremely optimistic. I wonder whether some people will cancel and lose interest if the other figures aren't guaranteed to be included or even released in the future?

I like the Cantina but the price of it is what’s really kicking me. I don’t know where they get the prices for these sets but for the price, they should be including all of the tiered figures. I also have a space issue and have the Razor Crest and GI Joe Skystriker still in their Hasbro shippers after opening them. No clue on where this would go but stay in the box. I think they’d sell a lot more if they kept the price including the deluxe at $300.

I haven't been collecting modern TVC or BS, with the exception of the random one here or there, but this Haslab has really got my attention. The Cantina has always been one of my favorite locations in all of SW & has a special place in my heart. But it takes up a great deal of space & would likely remain in its box if I ended up backing this set. Still, FOMO is real, so no final decision has been made on my end (and likely won't until just before pre-ordering closes). Sure, I'd love to see a lower price point, but honestly I had expected it to land at $499. I do think it's expensive, especially now, which is why I think they are offering the slimmed down version for $399. That's a concession to allow more backers & an option for folks that can't or don't want to spend the full $500, but I'm not sure it was originally designed that way (just my personal opinion). It's a decent marketing move either way. I appreciate you covering this long awaited release Mike. I have full confidence that this one will back in full with all tiers & hope that you're able to get in on it as well my friend.

I hope that the timing of this doesn’t affect the GI Joe Haslab which hopefully will be announced in July, they will be very close to each other. It’s a neat idea for a set but it looks unfinished to me, it could’ve done with a roof to at least make it look like a building. It’s not for me but will be happy for everyone who gets it.

It backs on figure fomo alone. Best way to play is buy deluxe, sell each of the 3 extra alcoves with seats, chairs, cups for $150 each and get back $400 to $450. People will by a single alcove and be super happy to have that little dio piece. So, the deluxe set could absolutely pay for near the whole thing. Price is way too damn high. For that cheap looking playset? $150 too high either option. It keeps looking more and more cheap the more I look at it, and the figures don't entice it at all for me.

at 721 it shows han and ben and luke near the front door almost, but in the movie, they were on the farside of the cantina when the stormtroopers came in and the bar was between them and the stormtroopers, so i think han's alcove should be near the upper right of that picture near the back door that would explain how ben and luke left when han meets greedo and the stormtroopers walk by without catching ben and luke, if they were sitting where that picture at 721 says, then the stormtroopers would see them right away when they came in

I think it will. Its not at the pace of the Ghost (that base funded in 91 hours) and i think it will absolutely crawl till the final day but it will fund. How many tiers we pass is another question. That's why I'm bummed Greedo is the first tier as he will get released anyway

It all looks amazing. :D This should have been a regular release for everyone to be able to afford. Maybe sets of two? Like of the entrance & both, bar & both, both & both. The figures could have been included in the sets, one in each and Arliel a regular release. Wuher’s top is actually clean in the movie, no wash needed, he takes his job seriously. ;) I have been collecting since 2007 and have most of HASBRO S.W. except the HasLabs. Ships make sense for a HasLabs, but why the Cantina after releasing Jabba’s Palace? The Marauder and the rest of the BadBatch would have been great. Your choice is frustrating and deflating to long time collectors who need to juggle a bit. Good that there are collectors out there that have been offering nice play sets - “they did it first.” ;) Did the HasLab team even rehearse the presentation before?? :)))

around 11 thousand people watched bossk's bounty's video about the haslab, the hasbro pulse video on youtube got 30 thousand views and only has 1 thousand likes, some of the comments are negative, and some are postive, but i don't know if people that left a postive comment also hit the thumb up button, i don't know if people use the thumbs as much as they comment .

Obviously it will fund it’s half way funded in the first few days. My contention is that Hasbro will be running concurrent Haslab’s with GI Joe and I cannot afford both and will have to choose one over the other and Classified Haslab’s have been killing it so I likely won’t be getting the Cantina.

Will it fund??? Yes, easily based upon the fans desires to acquire the sisters alone! All tiers will unlock with a possible extra tier if all are unlocked early. This is a must have for OT collectors and will extend a slowly declining TVC line for another year. I really wish Hasbro would have placed a lot more weathering for the set. It just looks too clean for a hangout of villainy and scum.

As huge as it is, this Cantina looks so amazing. When EB Games eventually opens up preorders, I'm hoping to get the deluxe version. Mum said she'll go halves with me, as she'd like to use the set for her Christmas display she does every year. With this coming out, I hope Hasbro does a rerelease of the Cantina Band. That group pack was super hard to find, so I bought The Black Series band instead. But now with a cantina, I need its band. EB Games still has Figrin Daan, but none of the others have had a single release outside of the aforementioned multipack. I totally agree with you on Greedo. Should've been someone exclusively seen at the Cantina. Not a Rodian who's had plenty of figures in the past. Here's hoping that #ReturnToTatooine subline gives us more aliens. Maybe even that female bar tender from the Holiday Special! Haha

alot of the 263 comments on the hasbropulse video of the haslab are negative, but the video has 30 thousand views, so only 263 comments out of 30 thousand views, if we need 17 thousand buyers, half of the viewers have to buy it, most of the comments out of 263 were negative, there were positive comments, but not half of the 263, so i don't know if that means that half of the viewers will buy it or less than half?

A good bencmark is maybe the GI Joe Skystriker that hadnt even funded its base goal with 8 hours to go and then smashed through 2 more tiers before it finished

The Sail Barge needed 5,000 backers and reached 8,810 - and that was the first Haslab and a new concept, way less people were into this game compared to if it was only released on Haslab now. Watch as it will reach to 17,000 - a lot of people are waiting to save up to back near the end, such as myself. Are you disliking the Cantina or are you worried it won’t reach 17,000 as you want the figures? I certainly want all these figures, but remember that it was officially stated by Hasbro in their livestream that only Wuher & the Tonnika sisters will be exclusive to this Haslab, with “no plans in the future to re-release them”, so we will eventually get Greedo, Nabrun, and the Wolfman figure albeit with different card backs. So in the end, I don’t really care if it doesn’t reach 17,000. I am sure it will certainly. A Cantina set is a 20 years old dream come true for me, and I’m far from the only one.

*takes a deep breath* This offering makes me angry. I want it but i don't want it. There could be a floor mat included instead of a sticker sheet. There could be action features like a light up droid detector and a button that plays the cantina music when you press it. There could be a knock down feature by the bar where Obi Wan takes out Ponda Baba and Dr Evazan. It's a glorified display set for action figures. It's cold, it's overpriced....I could see 300 for the non-deluxe set, 400 for the deluxe. This didn't need to be a haslab. The only thing that justifies haslab status is the figure offerings, and that's it. Will I buy one? I want to buy it. I don't know if I will buy it. It's lean meat. I wanted some fat on this thing. A ton of cups just doesn't cut it. I mean, the sand barge was 500 and that thing was packed with neat stuff. This just feels unimaginitive.

Hasbro's timing is awful -- The Acolyte sure isn't helping the Star Wars "brand", and the economy is awful, people are struggling. I hope it gets funded, I'll get the basic one and flip it. I will be shocked if it gets to 11K, I don't think we'll be getting Greedo -- ironically due to Hasbro's greed.

In my opinion, it will fund at a base level, but all tiers? I cant see it. The diehards will have already backed it, some of which have ordered two, and its at around 4000 currently. So now your relying on cherry picking fans to get you to 17,000. I think it will be tough. Also, if it doesent start unlocking tiers, will fans back out? A 500 bucks cantina is a harder sell if it only comes with 3 or 4 figures. It will be interesting to see what happens...

It will back and with all tiers. The Ghost was slow to back with only 2/3's the crew offered. It didn't even get backed until late in the process. I think there were only 10 days left and only 1 tier was unlocked. Hasbro saw the writing on the wall and opened up the remaining crew (for everyone, wrongfully) to purchase at a later date and it saved the Ghost and unlocked all tiers.
