@@MrVoland44 Actually watched, Asoka is nothing special, most notable for continuing to mess with original, really good Trawn story. As for The Mandalorian, could have been nice show if not for the "Star Wars" part in it. instead we have a weird series that are called "The Mandalorian", but actually feature no mandaloirians. Remind me a lot of the Foundation series that wasted all potential of genetic dynasty concept by randomly dogpiling on top of it a bunch AI harvested names and concepts from Asimov's books that otherwise have nothing to do with the series. Of cause for a fateful Disney believer all i write is nonsense and blasphemy against The True Cannon.

This is what Disney stole from us a coherent story that follows from beginning to end and keeps the action moving. Instead they decided to throw out the expanded universe and give us movies and tv shows that amount to a pile of crap. Thank you for all of your hard work and dedication to bring us this great and enjoyable story. I have certainly loved watching each episode as it came out and now Isat down and watched parts 1 and 2 in entirety as if it were a movie and loved every minute of it. So thank you once again and have a Merry Christmas and I’ll look forward to seeing what you do with the rest of the trilogy in the future. May the Force be with you, always.

Wow. That was unexpectedly amazing. I was not expecting that third act to mirror how I felt watching the third act of Rogue One. Thanks for pacing and directing this story in a way that wasn't bland or perfunctory, but exhilirating. There are good Star Wars stories and adaptations. Few of them give you the feeling.

This was such a great book,but it is only 1 of 3 books,,Heir to the empire,dark force rising,and the last command..all 3 books make an insane storyline for the events immediately after return of the jedi .

Thank you so very much for bringing this classic book to life. I remember reading it in 1991, when I was stationed in Germany. My role-playing group and I considered it canon when we role-played Star Wars by West End games. This is what I expected Disney to make, not the trash that they did make.

Absolutely fantastic. I bought these novels one first release many many moons ago na f wished they had been the next trilogy. I've seen a few comments saying these are the episodes 7,8,9 we need. Someone has already mentioned it but for those that are new to the expanded universe, heir to the empire is just book one of the trilogy in two parts (kinda like HP Deathly Hallows) There's still along way to go yet......
