Star Wars Hot Toys Mandalorian 1/4 Scale Figure Review and Comparison

I am both a 1/4 scale statue collector and Hot Toys collector as well. With all do respect to the Iron Studios statue, for me, Hot Toys has the upper hand here. The figure itself is screen accurate and displays impressively. One can create some very dramatic poses also, especially with the accessories the figure comes with. Add posable Grogu to the mix, with his accessories as well, the rest is what your mind can imagine. Bored with this look after a while…. Change it up.

Mandalorian looks great. I personally if it’s a 1/4 scale it would be the Rancor and Mandalorian hot toy not the iron studios one

Just recently picked this figure Up myself and For me the 1/4 figure is the best choice. Due to the fact at least you can give that figure different poses but with a statue you are only stuck with the one pose. But in the end it’s it’s personal choice. As always fantastic video All the best jay

Great comparison, one question, do you think we Will get a beskar shiny 1/4 mandalorian figure from hot toys? That’s my only hesitant, is that they will bring that one soon

You've got to keep them both. If I had my choice of the two, I'd go Iron Studios.

Awesome video and comparison Jorge! I actually got a great deal ($480) on a used/new 1/4 scale HT Mando (non-deluxe version) from another collector. I opted for the non-deluxe because of the simple base since the Deluxe base was way too busy for me, and too tall. I will be posing and displaying it with the Mandalorian Ahsoka PF Statue when Sideshow releases it in a year or so.

@@HyperdriveStarWars Better than VADER??? Bro I have picked up 4 1/4 this month Batman Begins, Joker, Spidey and Mando...yesterday locked in Vader should be shipping soon. Can't wait. Yes I had to sell off some stuff to fund but man those items were in storage. I have been rethinking statues of late. Keeping the WOW statues but moving forward sticking with Hot Toys 1/4.

Great video comparison. As you were unpacking the Hot Toys, I thought that was going to be the one. Everything looks so cool. But when you had it set up, I started to have my doubts. Side-by-side with the Iron Studios, I agree with your points and general conclusion about the Iron Studios serving its purpose with less fuss and more confidence your piece will always look good.

Maaaaan…. Jorge you’re really good at posing these things. I can’t pose HT for shit! So I stay away from them. Awesome piece man! Looks really accurate. I still prefer the IS piece…. Primarily because I suck at posing 😂

I absolutely love my 1/4 Hot toys Mando. My only regret is i didnt get the exclusive with the bigger base.

Awesome review bro, I let the HT Mando go because of the lack of base size/ stupid crotch grabber didnt do anything for holding it up. I agree its an awesome figure and sooo many accessories. The flame thrower flame fire effect piece they made for it is awesome. If they made a better size base/way for it to stand up while posing i would have kept it.

I got the mandalorian and the child deluxe. I couldn't put gun in its holster. Had to push it down till it pop out. When that happen, leater fell out. Now gun can fit and strap can go down. I've seen its suppose to be open. Mine was sealed. Is that normal?

Well, some may prefer this Hot Toys, but with the IS, they don"t play in the same league : IS one is a statue, not a big plastic toy...so it all depends what you're looking for in the end...

Iron Studios still the best one without effort. I mean the Hot Toys is a cool toy, collectible but a statue is more related with art and have more presence.

The Mandalorian helmet on the base is removable and can be used as head swap with Mando. Hot Toys wins for me

I just would personally never buy hot toys. People that can display them properly I salute you. But Iron studios wins for sure. Heck my mando IS is top 10 in my statue collection so I’m bias
