SS gun slinger pose all the way. Great comparison. Have to argue with the SS pose though. Watch any Clint Eastwood movie, the SS Mando captures the Gun slinger. If his hand was any further forward it would mask the pistol...in a display you simply would not be able to see the pistol. How sideshow displays, you get the gun slinger pose, but still retain the pistol view. Not reaching. IS Mando looks good, but the free flowing hands have no purpose, and grogu looks like a gremlin. You point out many flaws with the IS, but still side with them. Seems like a bias towards the number released, which should be insignificant when talking about art. sideshow all the way for engineering, creativity, and overall presentation.

Thank you for the great explanation, I decided to go for SideShow! When I first saw iron studios one, I was wondering what’s wrong. Now I know, is grogu’s stroller! Like you said it doesn’t match the timeline. So I go for accuracy. Both are wonderful though, if possible I would have both

Amazon. They are called Lazy Susans. But for the statues, search TV turn table. They hold more weight than your normal Lazy Susan can handle

Rarity never matters for me as long as quality is good. I am never going to sell them, I will own them till I die and honestly, collectibles are not a valid source of income in your later years. I won't care if 7000 other people have one that looks like mine as I won't be seeing more than 1-2 in my lifetime.....its not like we all gather in a park and compare our collectibles. There is nothing wrong with the ironside one, I own the Sideshow version and love it but it all comes down to the supply chain. Ironside is from brazil, who is going to go against the dollar which means they will become more expensive which pushes them out of the cost per figure threshold for me.

Look i know il get hate for this but i think SS is the overall better piece for the price and longrun its more accurate and if you keep lookin at prom on the IS one its way too low and it literally looks like its sitting on a rock to me ive looked at these over and over i just cant get over it I honestly do like the texture on the IS suits thats nice now the SS pose to me it looks like mando is a seeing potential threat or target and is just bout to raise his left arm to fire a missile or whatever but thats me guys enjoy!

Great vid. Both pieces are great. I’m also one who prefers a lower edition size, but that’s only important to me when it’s attached to the piece I prefer. In this case, I prefer the sideshow. Just looks better to me. Sucks that the es is ridiculously high, but I guess I gotta overlook the es sometimes

I cant get past the inaccuracy of the pram on the IS statue. Such a glaring flaw that I notice every time.

I just dig the base on that Iron Studios Statue more than the Sideshow. I really like when they use the remnant Storm Trooper helmets to give it that extra touch. The Mud Horn signet on the base is a nice touch also.

I got the sideshow figure. Didn't know about the Ironside but after seeing the two side by side and knowing more about the Ironside price shipped its was a no for me. I actually think the sideshow is a better figure . The only thing I see the Ironside did better was the fabric. That was the only thing it had better. Either way both look great . I'm happy with sideshow and plan on getting more from that company. Great artists and packaging is great. Great video BTW as I'm a new subscriber 👽

I picked up the Sideshow Mandalorian, who arrived a couple of days ago. I really like the piece. If i had any complaints, then i would have to say, the green they went with for Grogu should be lighter. The walk pose possibly has a touch too much swagger. The metal chest armor appears to be made of plastic. Nit-picks aside, the Sideshow Mandalorian looks great. Where i think the Iron Studio's piece looks better, is how their Mandalorian looks more stocky, which is how i remember the character looking in the TV series.

SS - for the pose isn't really striding, he's more like a gunslinger foot forward then reaching for the gun. Just watch Western films, they do this all the time. Plus, the Mandalorian was actually inspired from it as a Western Samurai

I have the Sideshow PF coming and would certainly have considered the Iron Studios version, but it's so similar to the look of the MYC piece I have that I took a pass on it. Besides the Beskar armor, the layout & pose look almost identical.

I love the Iron Studios the most and still own it. Sideshows Life size bust is nice but only at a good deal. I think it’s pricey at retail. There are some customs out there that are really nice also. Like the DMD if you can get it

Iron studio for me your previous video and chat definitely feel like I made the correct choice, the sideshow piece looks nice but the way they sculpted the pants around the crotch is so strange ,I dont like the slender look of the pf and the base is just to plain. The only thing I like better is the gun placement on the PF. Thanks for another awesome video Jorge!!

Great review Jorge on both of these. I did originally preorder the SS version but then bought the iron studios which im waiting for delivery. I also have the MYC version which would have been great to have seen that against these 2 and your view. I love my MYC version of the mandalorian and looking forward to putting the iron studios next to it. Keep up the great reviews. 👍

MYC made a 1/4 OG, which was the first to market I believe. They sold out in about 30 seconds about a year and a half ago, but they do occasionally pop up for sale.

I have the Iron Studio statue and despite the inaccuracies that many collectors speak on, I find it easier to overlook because I think the statue is just overall better. I love the base of the Iron Studios version, although I will say, I had no clue SS snuck that Mandalorian symbol on the base until you pointed it out. Loved that little, sneaky easter egg. I also like that Mando is bigger than the SS version. In my mind, that's how he looks. What really bothers me is the SS pose. If I didn't know it, I would assume he's listening to "Staying Alive" by the BeeGees the way he's ditty boppin with the swag walk you mentioned. Also, like yourself, the IS version is much rarer than the SS version and that also appeals to me. Enjoyed the comparison. Keep doing what you do. Big fan over here.

Edition sizes being the same I’d probably still lean on Iron Studios because of the base. If Sideshow had a little more going on there, or added in more texture on the suit, I’d go sideshow.

good review mate, after seeing the in hand shots of the SS I'm very glad I was able to get the IS. The benefit to accuracy and paint can't overcome the boring base and the catwalk pose. That ES is rough too.
