As far as your comments about spraying/sprayers and how you don't like the ones that you have tried: I was of the same opinion, but that was because I was using the lower end brands of sprayers. I finally pulled the trigger and bought a top of the line 5 Stage Fuji HVLP Sprayer. I retrofitted it with a 3M PPS disposable cup system and now spraying is like living a dream. Super easy to use, suoer easy to clean up and all my finishes (shellac, latex, oil, poly, etc) come out looking like a factory finish. Spend the money and you won't be disappointed.

Since you mentioned music equipment being 19" rack mount as well, you could also fit some eurorack or similar synth components in where the "control panel" segments are. Actually, eurorack is a good modular standard, anyway, so just make whatever components you want to that size!

From a functional standpoint as an IT professional can I please ask you install a Smoke/Heat detection alarm immediately above that thing though....between the wooden structure and some of the gear you've got in there it's a small risk, but an increased one over a standard 'ugly' server rack that someone could happen 😉
