@Boston2George That's not true to say Star Wars was almost non-existent: the remastered Special Editions had hit cinemas between January and March 1997, causing an explosion of renewed Star Wars interest. For many like me, it gave a second chance to see the films at the cinema, while for many others, it was their first chance to see on the big screen what they'd only seen on TV or VHS. It was a happy time, before anyone had heard of the Trade Federation :) This game was then released in October, when the buzz was still raging.

@@storba3860 If Kyle were taking prisoners, which he was not. He was too dangerous to be taken in alive, was still in command of an entire Imperial presence within the Valley of the Jedi, now knew where the Valley was and had just managed to absorb the power the Valley possessed. He was defeated here and allowed to die fighting as a warrior rather than be cut down on his knees as a prisoner, but there was absolutely no way Kyle could risk bringing him in. First off, how could he? They're at the bottom of the Valley, again surrounded by an established Imperial army that is probably not too pleased with Kyle for shooting his way through the facility already and with Jerec's Super Star Destroyer still sitting, intact and fully crewed in orbit, not to mention the other Star Destroyers in his flotilla. If allowed to recover while on the way out of the Valley, Jerec would certainly try to escape at the first opportunity and is, again, super powered up because of his exposure to the Valley's core and his absorption of the power located there. Plus there is the matter of trying to protect Jan who was also present and the risk that he'd just kill her to get back at Kyle on the way out. They also need to find a ride off the planet since Light Side Kyle crashed the Moldy Crow, something Dark Side Kyle didn't do. Trying to drag a prisoner along while searching for a ship would be a pain. Finally where would they take him? This is 1 year post Endor, the fledgling New Republic, only barely out of their Rebel Alliance days, is in no position to be taking a Force User of Jerec's power prisoner yet, especially one who, if once again, allowed to rest and recover from this battle and regain his full strength, would be godlike. Rahn, the Jedi whose spirit mentors Kyle, flat out tells Kyle how dangerous Jerec would be if he gets the Valley of the Jedi's power. He says, and I quote, "If Jerec captures this power, he will be a creature such as the universe has never seen. A supernova of stars in a fleeting thought. The eradication of life from a star system in a whisper will be within his power." There is no way to take Jerec in, no where to put him, and the risk of his escaping and unleashing his wrath upon the galaxy is far too great. Jerec *CANNOT* be permitted to leave the Valley alive. Like I said, the light side choice was letting him die on his feet rather than on his knees, a warrior's death rather than a prisoner's execution.

And I'm sure all Star Wars fans would eagerly wait each part of such trilogy based on 3 Jedi Knight video games. But it's not the first time Disney makes it worse. Take Prince of Persia, for example. I've also played a lot of not so popular titles like the Marathon Trilogy, SiN, Kingpin: Life of Crime, the Red Faction Games, Soldier of Fortune 1 and 2, the original XIII, Clive Barker's Undying, Chaser, Star Trek Elite Force 1 and 2, the first Call of Duty (the best one) and much more. I've played this one too (missed on the expansion, unfortunately), as well as Outcast and Academy. But these cutscenes, even if you think are good for the gaming scene at the time, are still bad for a Star Wars production - that's what i meant.
