+BrianDMS I played in bands that did these themes. I always thought it was less of the students fault and more of the instructor gutting the theme by putting there own variation on it. Like those weak sounding french horns at the beginning, I bet during practice the instructor hammered in for hours that they need to sound like that.

I was 4. My family was fresh off the plane from Japan. Episode 4: A New Hope was the first movie I saw in the US at a drive in theater. I was in complete awe and the music was amazing. I was already learning to play piano at 3. After the movie I played some of that epic music on our keyboard at home.

Found this just right now..... what an outstanding performance and recording work!! For me, as a slightly older person, Star Wars and its soundtrack have a very special meaning (i was at the age of 11 when episode 4 was released at the cinema).
