this has helped me immensely, I started with 10,000 credits (although I accidentally bought over 200 medpacs thinking I was buying parts, so I had that going for me) and I made a little over 5,000 back (I would have made more if I didn't accidentally buy all those medpacs).

Back in the day there was a way to produce more Robes from Handmaiden by stripping her naked, selling her robes and then whining to her about not wearing clothes, which would generate a new set of robes worth 2k credits to a vendor, or a a rather nice heap of components if broken down. Repeat for infinite money and components. I'm not sure if this has been patched out.

I believe this is still a thing. I have heard many other suggest that method instead of this one. Definitely a good way to get tons of credits. Mostly just sharing the information for others to know. I play on PC and can just use the Kotor Save Editor to adjust money and components to any amount I want lol!

@@Dilllonm I would have to say a few hundred thousand for sure but that also depends on what you spend your credits on. You could easily spend a few hundred thousand crafting the best of the best upgrades for every companion. I would say 500,000 for top tier robes/armor, best weapon upgrades and tons of useable items would be good enough for sure. You could of course spend way more if you decked out every single companion. You could also get by easily with just 100,000 for your main 3.

Use an auto clicker to make the process of buying/selling/crafting bulk amounts of items faster and easier. Also for anyone who plays with TSLRCM, the handmaiden exploit has been patched out.

Much agreed. The KSE is actually much quicker than doing this method but still fun info to know. I was aware they patched most of the glitches with Steam and TSLRCM versions. The console and PC disc versions can still take advantage of it though.

Did you ever have any success with this? I've tried 3 different auto clickers, running Kotor2 in both windowed and full screen mode and it just doesn't register clicks from the auto clicker.

I've personally never tried the auto clicker. It would be much less headache to install KSE and just gift yourself whatever you're clicking to. Basically was just sharing the information of how the exploit would work with the games mechanics

@@CatDaddyGaming I know it doesn't make logical sense, but I don't want to just give myself unlimited credits in the KSE because it kinda takes the fun out of it, at least with this exploit it feels like I'm still working for it. Like I will use the KSE to swap out feats or force powers but never give myself extra ones. I like to keep the balance and challenge to the game.

I'd like to comment on this. The credit exploit still works as of 5/22/2022. And while the idea works, this is a very time consuming process. But you can alter this to make the game where credits aren't an issue by mid game. So I just did this as a Jedi sentinel / watchman, so all the skills. I kept everything that I had looted until I tried this. I had 12k credits before I started. I finished with over 180k. The exploit itself is only 10%, but if you hold on to everything until your character has 20 repair, and yes it has to be you main character. You just break everything down you don't need, make the edges and sell them. Credits are not an issue anymore. I should also mention that I kept 4000 components for myself, to craft end game weapon and armor mods.

Agreed, WAY too time consuming. Made sense back when Xbox was the only platform to play on but now with mods and KSE you can just magically add in everything you need. Still cool to know about. There are still other methods way faster and easier to exploit the game. I'm just super intrigued with how games find ways to manipulate the games they play!

I don't believe so. Most Force Power Mods I have seen are additional Force Powers not in the vanilla game. Your best bet is going to be KSE (Kotor Save Editor). You can alter your save file to have that Force Power unlocked

Oh most definitely. Video was more or less showing the exploit in the game. If you wanted to play the game with no cheats or glitches, this would be a solid exploit as you are just manipulating the game off its own parameters and not having to glitch or break the game.

Just use the lightsaber duplication glitch and sell lenses power cores emitters and exes crystals, than we talk unlimited credits and the components u also get from braking down red power cell nearly 1200 . Addendum the hurricane crystal sells for 5200 and red energy cell for 6400 at a random merchant the Sullustan merchant on Datoine is an great idee for even more credits, Al though with prices for those items times XXXXXX do you really need more , playing kotor 2 now I am curious

@@lordarvedui7198 it may be something that they corrected with the restored content mod. I'll have to test to confirm. As long as you grab them from a trusted source you will be good to go. Steam Workshop, Deadlystream and Nexus are all solid choices. Pair that with a good anti-virus program and you'll be set. Those 3 sites also have reviews and comments so other can report if it isn't safe

I don't have any armor mods. But I do have character reskins and retextures. Bao-Dur and Mira have reskins. Handmaiden and Visa have a retexture. I grabbed them off of the Steam workshop but I know the modding sites also have those mods.

I do not unfortunately. I grabbed random items and tested to get the table. Increases from credits and components should be the same granted you get the repair skill up. Higher level items will be best but lower tier, super common items may not be a lucrative for you.

Vanilla versions should be the same across all platforms. Xbox, PC (Disc and Digital), iOS, Android. Although I haven't tried the mobile ports yet. They probably wouldn't be able to incorporate the restored content into any release since it was community made and they would be responsible for any issues cause by the mods. That would be super cool though if you could add the mods on your phone and then add them into the mobile version. Phones are basically mini PCs so I could see it happening in the future. How did the iOS version work and play for you?

Vanilla version is just the standard bare bones version. Be it Steam, GOG, Disc, or Xbox. Non vanilla would be playing with restored content or something that modifies the vanilla version. Are you referring to the crafting and selling of the edges? The credit exploit would not be considered a glitch since we are just using the mechanics of the game. Did you make sure to find Akerres Hydrospanner and not turn him in? That part is crucial to getting more credits for selling items

I am pretty sure they still breakdown into 10 even without your repair being level 20. You could try doing it with Medpacks instead. 80 credits for a Medpack and it breaks down into 4 components so same cost ratio, just have to do more of them than if you did parts.

Pretty much. Get your Repair Skill to level 20 and you will get more components from breaking down items. Cheaper medpacks can be bought from the Medical Droid on M4-78. Then Akerre on Dantooine will pay more for items than other merchants if you don't turn him in for the hydrospanner. You need to craft those certain blade edges and sell them to Akerre if your looking for credits. If you already have credits but need components, then you can breakdown the cheaper medpacks from the Medical Droid.

I wouldn't call the technique described as an exploit, it's arbitrage, in the real world, it is one way to legitimately make a lot of real money. Buy low, sell high, repeat, profit.

That is better than the 200 he normally sells them for but it isn't better than the Medpacs from M4-78. Your improved price puts component to cost ratio at 18, so a few better than normal but not as good as the Medpacs from M4-78, which are at 12.

I buy Squad Recovery Stims from M4-78 for 300 credits each and resell them to Akkere for 375, it's a 25% profit. Or I can breakdown them to 25 Components for one Stim, that's 12 credits per Component. Easy...

Why wouldn’t you just dupe handmaiden robes and break them down for 160 comps? It takes only a couple minutes to make a few thousand comps

You are not wrong. The robe duplication is a great way to get tons of components. Just sharing the knowledge and method mostly. Good info to know for those without the ability to use cheats or not wanting to use duplication. The KSE makes it 1000 times easier cuz you can just add however many credits/components you want into your save file if you're playing on PC. But it is still a nifty little trick that is good to know.

What are you trying to breakdown? The medpacks for example always break down into 4 components no matter your repair level. So looks like certain items aren't affected by repair level. Most weapons and armor should still give you more components with a level 20 repair though.

@@greyhood4855 No worries. Yeah repair level won't affect those kind of items. Parts will always breakdown into 10 components no matter your skill level. What you will want to be breaking down is armor, weapons and droid upgrades. Breaking those down with a level 20 repair will get you way more components.

I have iOS version and here medpacks gives you only 1 component :(. By the way it’s funny that they fix this thing, but there is tons of bugs on Nar Shaddaa for example: I had Lootra quest glitched I cant complete it, I have Fassa - twilek, I watch Cantina cutscene with Twilek assassins every time I’m in etc.

I have heard of this happening to mobile users but oddly enough I've had other mobile users say it was working for them. Really odd. Haven't tried it out on mobile yet so might have to for testing purposes. Fassa is usually a Twi'Lek in vanilla but a Toydarian with Restored Content.

@@ericcartman8554 Certainly! You can but not with Force Mastery and Juyo. You can get Force Potency and Juyo though. Stay Consular until you learn Force Potency, then prestige into Weaponsmaster and your last form will be Juyo. Force Mastery is the last Consular form learned so you can only learn that one if you stay Consular class but then you won't get Juyo unfortunately.

Buy yourself the best robes or wearables that you like. I assume as Consular you are focusing on casting Force Powers. If that's the case, use the components to upgrade your companions weapons. So you could buff the team, then they dive into battle while you sit back and stun the enemies. The companions should be able to put out some decent damage with you on the back lines casting stuns and healing them as they soak the damage. Definitely save some upgrades for yourself though cuz you will eventually have to fight enemies without the companions to aid you.

@@billcipher9068 That is a very good question. I honestly do not know. I would lean towards they don't affect Force Power attacks. I could be wrong of course, but I would assume the attack buffs apply to regular attacks and not Force Power attacks. At least that is what I always assumed. That would be something good to test out and experiment with.

You should be able to redo it again after you sell the edges back to Akerre. You may have to do some traveling between planets but with the money you make the first time you can just repeat the process.

Sorry man not trying to be too critical but it spoiled it because it's like something crazy happening with kreia turning her saber on someone. Anyway, I'm only getting 2 components with each part that I breakdown with bao dur who has a repair skill of 20 with bonuses.

Can anyone tell how can he break down the medkits into the components? I can only break them down for chems, they aren't even an option on the workbench. I have TSLRCM with M4-78 already installed. P.S. Solution found, see replies.

Are you sure you aren't trying to break them down at a Lab Station rather than a Workbench? Just pulled up my game to double check and you don't have the option to break items down into chemicals at a Workbench. You can only do that at a Lab Station. It should be the same way for all versions of the game.

@@CatDaddyGaming that's what I'm saying, they are not even an option on the actual workbench, but I can break them down on the lab station. Weird. There's a lot I can't break down, like any medkits or most usable items. Repair kits are fine, though. And before you ask, I do have all the needed skills at 20, most are higher.

@@t-machine3427 No problem. Super weird if it is not letting you break them down into components. Only thing else I could think it might be is your repair skill not being high enough but you already mentioned you have them to 20. On mine I did notice the Medpacks were pretty far down on the "All Items" tab. Took me a little bit to hunt them down. Auto cliker will make things WAY easier when breaking down large quantities lol

@@CatDaddyGaming hello again. Just found a solution (and a lot more) and you may be interested. So, I was looking for alternatives and the first thing I noticed is that you can resell medicall goods between those essential shopkeepers for up to 25% profit, which is already better than making dev egdes from parts. It is also true for health package implants with their cost of 10,920. Imagine how much less clicks that is. Not only that, but YOU CAN STILL break down those implants for 910 components each on the workbench, even with my problem, and you know what? THE RELULTING COST OF EACH COMPONENT IS STILL 12 CREDITS! It will save the time regardless of the fact if you have my issue or not. Also even with my problem I can break down squad recovery stims with the same efficiency. Honestly, even with the auto-clicker I prefer just straight up selling implants, it doesn't force you to die inside in the process, and the profit is still amazing. Hope you'll find the info usefull, I certainly enjoy exploiting galactic stonks myself.

I figured I'd put this in its own comment. I'm only getting 2 components per part on Xbox with my main character. Are you sure the repair skill doesn't impact it? I have a repair of 7. This is the digital copy of kotor 2 for the Xbox.

You need to have your repair skill at level 20 to get the most components possible.

So yes, parts breakdown into 10 components but you need repair skill at level 20. You'll get the most components upon breaking down items with that level 20 repair skill. The max components you will get from parts is 10 but you are probably only gets 2 cuz your repair skill isn't up to 20. Hope that clears it up!! :)

Lol right?? Wasn't something I was happy about when I did the math. You'd be much better off using the KSE or cheats but would be your only option on Xbox versions.
