The best way to go about building each member of your team is to grind in the tomb on Korriban until you reach level 50. The best time to do this is as soon as you get your prestige class, and before you visit Nar Shaddaa or Duxn or meet Vrook. However this grinding method only works if you’re dark side, otherwise you force point may as well never regenerate.

A DC 18 stun is worthless, pretty much 0 enemies in the entire game that can fail that save on anything besides rolling a natural 1. Especially on offhand where you only get 1 attack per round. If you're a jedi and use Juyo + Saberstaff + Flurry to get 6 attacks, you'll begin to see more stuns landing, as the chance of landing a stun on natural 1 with 6 attacks is around 26%. That is if the stun is calculated for each attack separately, it should be, but I haven't tested to see if this is actually the case. Then again, if you have a 25% chance on hit to attempt stunning, then that drops the chance to 6.5%, again rendering it worthless.

I usually make Mira into a blaster jedi. she already comes with lots of blaster skills so I thought, why not. Handmaiden and Atton are more melee, same with Bao-dur. That said, I don't negelect the hand to hand skills on Mira as its useful vs Hanharr later on malacor 5, but what you can do is the run and gun tacking using force speed and simply out running him and turning to shoot him dead now and then. the HK-factory is by far the best level in the game. its so much fun. I just level HK up to full and he's a powerhouse right away. but I can see where the level up to heal tactic is good.
@CatDaddyGaming4 жыл бұрын
That makes perfect sense to me. Mira is super good to build for blasters. Atton can be too. I like that he can be built either way pretty easily. Run and gun is my ultimate fall back plan. I tend to have to do it when I make poor choices with my main character and I get knocked out. I certainly agree the HK Factory is the best level. It's a little difficult but not too much. The HK's bickering always cracks me up and the story we got from it is great.
@puffin-onehandedgamer11644 жыл бұрын
@@CatDaddyGaming I just run and gun vs HanHarr as Mira because of his rage ability, the more damage he takes, the harder he hits, so running around and shooting him is the best way. same in the pit on Nar shaddaa. lay down mines, run over them and blow him up.

Worth noting: if you put the Precision Scope on the Assassin Rifle for Keen, Master Sniper Shot offers a mind-boggling 75% crit rate; Keen takes the crit range from 18-20 to 15-20, then Master Sniper Shot increases that further all the way to 6-20. As cool as using dual pistols is, there's something hilarious about using a fully upgraded heavy Mandalorian repeater with master rapid shot. And Ion weapons in this game are just bad, not allowing power packs to be upgraded really drops the damage potential. These are actually pretty hard to come by. There is a chance to acquire them from the Fassa Freighters Quest if you are level 26 or higher. There is also the chance they spawn randomly as loot. Best bet is to play with TSLRCM since it fixes the loot tables so higher tier items have a better chance of spawning. @CatDaddyGaming Жыл бұрын
Equipment and wearables are a factor. Just the head slot piece I use alone grants me 6. But by level 18 you should have 7 feat choices. According to the wiki, level 18 is your 7th and last feat selection option. I would pass over Droid Interface unless you have a specific reason for getting it.

Nice guide - HK may only be the 3rd best blaster-build companion on paper (theoretically first though!) he will always be number 1 in my heart (he's got the best lines in the game by a mile :p). But we should note a few things; - Massive criticals bonuses don't get multiplied by the crit multiplier and are just added on when you crit, making them generally not as worthwhile as just going for the biggest bonus damage mods (mando chamber and pure rylith) as crit threat range is hardcapped by the game at 6-20 (even though master sniper on a base range of 15-20 should grant guaranteed crits, this is not the case as the bonuses from Keen and Master Sniper are additive and not multiplicative) and those shots where you don't crit will do incredibly low damage without base bonus-damage mods. - As a droid, HK cannot benefit from Master Speed, and there are no upgradable repeater weapons, making his max number of attacks per round 3 with dual pistols and 2 with a rifle (using Master Repeater rather than Master Sniper). For this reason, dual wielding fully-upgraded pistols will always give more damage than a blaster once you have access to the highest tier of upgrades as the extra damage of a mando chamber and rylith pack on a second weapon will always outshine whatever extra base damage even the best rifles have, and HK will easily attain the required feats and attack rating to make dual-wield penalties negligible. Ironically, Jedi are more suited to rifles than non-Jedi as the more extra attacks gained from other areas (rapid shot and Master Speed), the less valuable the extra attack from an offhand weapon becomes - also note that some rifles have x3 crit multipliers instead of the basic x2. I have not done enough math on the various upgradable x3 crit multi rifles in the game to see if there is a threshold where these rifles take over for Jedi or non-Jedi characters, nor to see if using Power Blast becomes optimal in these cases. As stated in the video, mando disintegrators are the single best option, but you might want to go with keen on both as this will increase the total number of crits and therefore the chances of triggering your assassin protocols. If you do go with keen on only one weapon, make sure it is your main hand as *all extra attacks are made with your main hand* (this applies to attacks from Master Speed and anything else too). - Assassin Protocol (HK) vs Sneak Attack (Atton): So there is a lot of math involved in this but there is (theoretically) an enemy HP threshold where HK would begin to outshine Atton in potential damage-per-round as a blaster build due to Assassin Protocols having a theoretically unlimited damage ceiling. Ironically, as Assassin protocol damage is based off of remaining life (half remaining life at max rank), the more damage you do with your weapons, the less damage you will do with Assassin Protocol when it triggers. This means that Assassin Protocols will never kill the target ( *UNLESS* you get procs off of *TWO SIMULTANEOUS ATTACKS* which is only possible with dual pistols - the 50% remaining health per proc will be applied simultaneously resulting in 100% of remaining health; when Master Sniper is used, there is a roughly 2% chance of this happening at max crit threat range [6-20] on both weapons, BEFORE save rolls), so in practice are only powerful for the first few shots against a target as against an enemy that is already low, they will do a paltry amount of damage. Seeing as protocols will only proc 20% of the time even on a successful crit, and have a chance to be negated via Fortitude save (although at very high levels, the chance for enemy to save becomes quite low) the chance of actually getting a successful protocol proc on the initial salvo versus an enemy is disappointingly small (chance is around 15% per hit when using Master Sniper shot, BEFORE saves). Considering that enemies with much larger health pools (bosses) are likely to have better Fortitude save values, this lessens the usefulness of protocols at lower levels. Considering that as your base blaster damage increases relative to your crit chance as you get better gear/upgrades, the potential damage and overall effectiveness of Assassin Protocols will not increase as much as one would hope as you progress through the game. Further consider that ultra-high HP boss fights that would greatly increase the value of successful protocol procs like the Storm Beast and main Sith antagonists are not available to HK anyway, and... The conclusion is unfortunately clear; When it comes to raw damage output alone, without even factoring in the theoretical 5 attacks Atton can get in a round from Master Speed + Master Rapid Shot, Atton is the superior blaster build when compared to HK, so long as you have a consistent way to stun or incapacitate Atton's target (either with Master Sniper shot itself, or with Jedi powers either from Atton or from someone else). If the target cannot be stunned but Atton has access to Master Speed, he will still win out in most cases. If Atton can take advantage of neither Sneak Attack nor Master Speed for whatever reason, then HK is, on paper, a superior damage blaster build, but even this case will depend greatly on what gear you have access to.

If only to stop this trend from bleeding into other enjoyable games it has to be said that you're much better off levelling up when you can and have fun enjoying the benefits of everything that comes with it straight away; not only are you already giving yourself more health permanently, but you're also increasing saves against enemies, attacks against enemies, possibly choosing a feat that's useful and depending on how many levels you save for full health healing an attribute point that may have been invaluable from the get-go. Hokey level-ups and nerfing yourself are no match for a decent shield and relative advanced healing item at your side.

You make some solid points for sure but I would disagree with you that it is useless. While you certainly would get better saves and higher health with those few levels, you can't disagree that being able to heal to full health without using a turn is a pretty big advantage. So I'd agree with you if you have more than 5 level ups in the bank. But if you only have 2 or 3, then they can come in handy for boss fights or sticky situations and you aren't too far behind power wise.

Bro saved up THIRTEEN levels instead of just leveling up, stomping shit and using repair kits 😂😂😂

@torybeaudet3820 Yea, probably wouldn't have needed them if I had just leveled up lol

Tell the truth, I don't even buy him in KOTOR 1, and I only put him together in KOTOR 2 and never use him. I run all Jedi and Canderous. I don't use Atton after the fight with the Twi'lek sisters, and I only use Bao-Dur and T-3 to make things. I'm strictly Exile, Handmaiden, Mira, Visis, and Canderous. HK doesn't do anything that Canderous doesn't do better, and his humor isn't that funny after 30+ playthroughs.

your healing tactics is dumb, your gimpiness furthers the need for this idiocy. also bao dur can easily serve 3 crafting skills.

I've played the game both ways. Definitely better when you are maxed out and putting out full damage. I usually keep at least one insta heal from leveling up on hand just in case. I just happened to have more than 10 on hand when making this video. I have ran out of repair kits before and that is no fun so not the worst strategy to have on hand either.
