This reminds me of Ki-Adi-Amundi in the Phantom Menace saying "The Sith have been extinct for a millenia." I like that the Jedi have assumed that the Sith were truly gone more than one time, and they never learn from this mistake.

Kaan was honestly kind of wasted here like I feel like he was the only order that could be successful in the long run, and Bane disapproved it solely because of extremely selfish desires, I love Bane as a character but his ideology is super flawed (which I believe was the intention), sure it created the Empire many years in the future, but not only was more of the Jedi council arrogance and Palpatine manipulation skills that could possibly be achieved even without the rule of having only two Sith Lords. Bane focused solely on conquer, never on the Dark Side itself, which is why the only change to the old lore I want is for Kaan do to more stuff instead of only being known as "the guy Darth Bane tricked to create the Rule of Two", maybe expand his rivalry with Hoth a bit more. Also, I miss having a ton of Sith instead of only two, the Rule of Two had its time and if we ever get any lore in the distant future of star wars, I hope people ignore Bane's vision for the Sith future.

I dont think people down play Kaan. Even bane said that Kaan wasn't weak. Keep in mind, kaan single handedly kept all the sith from the brotherhood of darkness inline and from killing each other through a combination of his charisma and his high level skills of force manipulation/persuasion. He did this for 10 long years while they were at war with the jedi and army of light. That alone is one hell of an accomplishment, but I doubt it would last much longer even if bane didn't sabotage him. Remember, sith are highly competitive with each other, cut throat even.

@@mikeor- Don't try to Jedi mind trick me. I know that there is a punctuation mark in the source material (I think), but let's be honest, no one reads that like they are separate sentences. To correct for this, some people replace it with a coma which isn't what commas are for, it's just wrong. You should really use a semicolon as leaving it with that punctuation mark is just stupid. Like, whoever wrote that really needs to consider how to write sentences.

@@mikeor- It is an exaggeration to say that these punctuation marks are *that* clearly defined regarding how long pauses they make. A semicolon is supposed to be longer than a comma, but shorter than a period. But people pause for dramatic effect all the time; sometimes a comma sounds like a period. You could've even read the semicolon with barely any pause at all in the previous sentence. So I think I'll retract my point about pauses since, when thinking about it, it doesn't really affect its spelling. But I still stand by what I say, it should be spelled with a semicolon. It isn't wrong to put a period there, but I would make room for them to be interconnected since "there is only passion" relies on "Peace is a lie" which is what the semicolon is for. Plus, the period ruins the whole mantra honestly, I think it should be one sentence per line. And the only reason it isn't read weirdly is because "there is only passion" is referring to "Peace is a lie"; they have to be on the same line. Peace is a lie. There is only passion. George Lucas meant for the Sith to be founded “almost 2000 years” before the movies and therefore the TPM novelization says that’s what happened, but the Tales of the Jedi comics had already established that the Sith were around before that, so the Sith founder described in the TPM novelization was retconned into the founder of the “New” Sith Order/Empire and the Sith Wars described in the TPM novelization were retconned into the “New Sith Wars”.

The sith equivalent to the Jedi High council at least stopped the Infighting since the founder saw the bigger picture: the extinction of the Jedi. Unfortunately, that too wound up failing due to those believing in the old ways; that last part meant the rule of 2 which means basically "bide our time for now"

Kreia blamed the Force itself the repetitiveness of the constant wars in Star Wars and tried to destroy it. The real in-universe fault of the repetitiveness was Abeloth as conflict in the Galaxy weakened her cage so she influenced the Force to cause more and more conflict in an attempt to break free. Times of Peace in the Galaxy would occur right after her cage was fortified by the Ones and the Killik. The real out-of-universe reason was George Lucas with his believe that history should rhyme. So you can blame either George Lucas or Abeloth the the repetitiveness in Star Wars.

Yes, most of the time the Sith are aggressors, but the Jedi are not saints either ( "no one forced them to do evil"), e.g., the genocide of the original Sith Empire, after the Republic and the Jedi won the hyperspace war, they murdered billions of people living on the planets within the empire borders. The few who survived under Vitiate's leadership rebuilt the empire with one thought, Revenge ... Half of the wars in the galaxy stem from the failure to kill Ajunta Pall or the genocide of the original Sith Empire. I'm not saying that all jedi are evil, but looking at the entire history of the galaxy, Lord Khan was right, the jedi are responsible for the 2 worst decisions in the galaxy

@@dangi6516 not quite. according to Old Republic lore, the majority did from mass suicides or civil war between remaining sith lords, though the republic did indeed kill many. not to sound callous, but i most certainly do not look at the republic's harsh retaliation as somehow putting them at the same level as the sith (which is almost always what that particular whataboutism is brought up or). instead, its closer to the allied bombings of germany during ww2, something meant to completely break down an enemy which had not even surrendered- and indeed, with the fanaticism displayed in the aforementioned mass ritualistic suicides, a surrender was unlikely to occur to say the least. so the republic doing what it did? you'll excuse me if the destruction of the dark side magocracy that would most certainly not bat a single eye in killing far, far more if left unchecked dose not, in fact, evoke much sympathy from me the jedi especially went in with and only with the explicit goal of taking out eliminating the sith lords and did not participate, as an institution, in the bombings and instead focused on destroying dark side temples, knowledge and artifacts to keep them from being used. heck, they even went out of their way NOT to just kill all the sith lords they captured and instead opted to sever them from the force- a courtesy which the sith most certainly would NOT return but which most 'The JeDi ARe jusT AS Bad oR WOrsE' people would, of course, ignore i could go on, but this already went on longer than i like, so imma stop here for now
