Mike Syrylo said (around min 6:45) that he played Sabotage the Moisture Vaporators, he was Blue and the Red player had to come to him. Checking the lists on GameUplink, Mike is at 800 and Stasy is at 799. So either Mike forgot that he was Red and this is why Stasy had to come to him or something does not add up because as far as I know in case of a tie, Red player wins. So Blue is forced to go on offensive. Am I missing something? Because I am pretty sure Mike knows the rules.

in case of a draw the one know killed the most wins. If all the units are alive, player with more expensive list wins.

@@fillolog Either way Mike had 800 points so he ... hmmm... so the other player chosed to be Red, maybe? That's why Mike was Blue but he was defending? Because if no units are killed and each do their Vaps, then Red player wins... because usually Red is the one with the expensive list

@@kokozula They had similar battle decks. So the person with 799 chose Red because (if they had similar battle decks) it is just hands-down better to be red player. Other player chose to be red, then had to come to Mike because Mike had the more expensive list.

@@Sercappius Totally makes sense. Thanks

Hey! As noted by others, I opted to pick the board edge and let Mike take blue. I knew that I had to go to him to break the 1pt list difference tiebreaker on the VP draw (given the battle decks were similar). It was a fantastic game as Syrylo mentioned and absolutely as close as I ever have been to beating him in a game. Even I called BS on the dice in my favor for a chunk of the game. 😄

I haven't finished the whole episode, but finished the Geonosian part and I don't think I heard y'all brought this up, so I wanted to mention it: When ruling "Death from Above" the Geonosians do not have to be on top of the height X terrain, they just have to be overlapping. For example, if there is a height 3 tower with a front porch that is 2 mm off of the table, and the Geonosian unit leader is on that front porch, they are "Overlapping a height 3 terrain piece" and will ignore all terrain below height 3. This can cause situations where this Geonosian unit can technically be shooting up at someone on a height 1 terrain piece, but because they overlap a height 3 terrain piece's base, the unit ABOVE the Geonosians actually lose cover. Fun stuff

I don’t think it works like this. In terrain rules it’s written that different part of single terrain might have different heights.

@@Lawni5 That's how I think it should be too, but I know at LVO they sourced a rules forum post that said it did not work that way and, as long as any piece that is height 3 was above the Geonosians overlapping the terrain, it was considered height 3. I am now no longer able to find that rules forum post that ruled it the way I described. So apparently they ruled it one way, then removed it a week or so later. My apologies edit: I am going to recreate the forum posting to find out the answer! Hopefully they rule it the way you said, as that makes much more sense and is far more logical than what I thought
