Base paint first. Recover the acrylic. Then laser. Then paint pinstripes. I really could have used that insight a year ago. It makes so much sense. Leave it to the Jedi master to point out the obvious. 😁 What’s the tape you’re using? Looks like masking tape. Is it different? I suppose it would be possible to start with white acrylic, leave the tape/paper on the pinstripes. Then paint everything else. But, there’s just something about starting with black (preferably matte black) acrylic, right? As always a great job. Can’t wait to see how it’s going to be incorporated into the room. Such a tease.
@TheSmugglersRoom3 жыл бұрын
Hi Deanna, thank you!! Yeah, I LOVE the matte black acrylic . . . SO MUCH! And yes you totally could do this in reverse if you wanted to use another color. I just happen to have the black acrylic so . . . when in Rome, or when in Tatooine? the transfer paper i used was solid, but I also have some clear stuff too. Here is links to both: www.jpplus.com/glassguard-paper-mask-for-laser-engraving www.amazon.com/gp/product/B017Y20RI6/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
