Not only am I not buying this game, I'm just not excited for anything anymore. Everytime something from a franchise I used to like comes out, my first thought isn't about how awesome it will be. Instead, I groan and wonder how the company will ruin the franchise further, or how my favorite characters will be misrepresented or demonized. With 2020 and all the time in the world to go back and look at things, take stock and really investigate things deeply I came away really dejected at with a deep understanding of just how bad things are and how much worse things are going to get. I mean we've gotten reports from anonymous people within industry saying the push to make women and only women characters more manish more androgynous and in general I make them less attractive in every way possible has been going on for quite some time. It's only become much more noticeable but it's been going on for the better part of 10 years I think now. The problem is they pushed it too far and it's become super obvious for anyone with eyes and any basic pattern recognition skills. One or two might be a coincidence or have plausible deniability but when it's literally every single female character coming out of western game companies it gets harder and harder to look past the obvious.

Remember when The Sonic Movie got blasted and the Studio went back and fixed it - then all was good? Looks like Ubisoft has to do something - like "re-shoots/rescans" lol . I was really excited for Outlaws, it had just about everything I wanted in a Star Wars game: Story focused, Open-World, space combat, all of that was REALLY awesome! Then the CM said some things, Ubisoft didn't do anything about it, and they uglifyed a main character and blamed it on the tech. I'm NOT sorry to NOT buy a game from a company that advocates FOR racism and has so little accountability for their mistakes or passion for their games. If Ubisoft's passion was water, there would be no fish on Earth.

When video game or console developers start making gamers do stuff they don't want to do to play games, they lose. Look at the Xbox 1 which required the Kinect to be hooked up at all times to run. Or Xbox backtracking on not being able to play physical disc games from one console to another. This always online requirement alone would kill the game. Add in the rest of the DEI and design garbage that we seem to be seeing and I think this game is going to duplicate the performance of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League.

I'm more interested in Gray Zone Warfare because all the media from the developers is about the game mechanics, they are doing innovative stuff like 100% accurately modeling terminal ballistics of ammo calipers, gun functions. Star Wars Outlaws has a heavy initial price, but it also contains hidden charges for premium missions. It would appear that Ubisoft is trying to capture the atmosphere of a Disney Park--the admission fee is just what the visitor pays to be charged more money to do anything interesting. That the protagonist is ugly is Ubisoft's way of imitating how grubby the Disney Parks have gotten during these last years. Ubisoft captures the Disney experience in a digital game. That is not a good thing.

The character lead in star wars outlaws looks like she got hit by the ugly bus and the convoy behind it. So great job lucasfilm and Ubisoft you saved me from spending more money. No one can fix this level of stupid, duct tape will only muffle it, and a Louisville slugger will get a person 10-20 years. Best thing is to ignore this garbage and let them go out of business. Then make better things from the proverbial ashes of those corporations it is hard but could be worth while in the end. Unless people want to lose money on a sinking ship like the Titanic or better on a race horse who starting position is sitting down. The sad reality is people from the inside have basically said the only way you get the parasites out is to let the industry die. The face looks super wonky like the character had a severe stroke which affected her entire skull structure somehow. Given that the actress herself looks amazing, it almost feels like some folks at the editing studio saw it and went "well we cant have her looking hot that will please the fans!" then proceeded to digitally edit the appearance mashing the sliders at random like a Dark Souls speedrunner.
