i find it wildly interesting how many people just want this game to fail, to the point of ridiculing you guys for reviewing it and enjoying it to the extent that you both did. Personally felt that you guys gave an honest review, wouldn't be surprised if most people commented without even watching 10 minutes. Throughout the whole video you guys talk about what you liked and didn't like, what was bad, mediocre or positively surprising. i recently completed hogwarts. its gameplay is fairly standard stuff but it definitely delivered the hogwarts vibe. i think its the same for outlaws...its gameplay mechanics are abit clunky and meh, but other parts of it delivers the underworld vibe.

It’s not a 10/10 but we also need to realize that games don’t all need to be 10/10s to be enjoyed. If you take outlaws for what it is, it’s good. Skull and bones on the other hand, should have been canned and is complete disaster money grab.

Pricing seems to what’s killing this. They’re pitching it very high so if it’s’ not the best AAA experience of the last five years customers won’t pay the highest price they’ll have paid for a game so far.

If they do indeed decide to make a "sequel", they need to add a create a character mechanic where players get to create their own scoundrel as a human or other alien species. Kay is a fine character, but her story arc is over and there is no real need to make her the protagonist for the next game when she could be an NPC in the next one who helps us during the story. When you have an open world game and a space ship, you can't treat it lightly. We have a ship, so we need a crew and crew management needs to be a big part of the game where we can customize their look and weapons they may carry when they join us on missions. The reviewers brought up Mass Effect and I'll say that Outlaws wasn't nearly as expansive as that game because they focused solely on Kay and followed the blueprint of Uncharted (which was a mistake in my opinion). The game can be fun, but it needs work. Basically, it is forgettable.

I remember back in the Battlefront 2 days when you would say that EA/Dice didn't provide you with codes and any stuff like other Game Changers because you would be brutally honest about the game. 7 years later I hear "thanks to Ubisoft for providing a review code" kind of a shocker. Not calling you a shill it's just wild that I remembered that. I wanna give it a shot because it feels like it's good enough to play. But I think we should hold Ubisoft to a higher standard because they've made better games before. Compare the facial animations to Assassins Creed Unity.

The way that you get codes has drastically changed over the years since then. Most of these companies have creator programs now that work differently than before. For example the Game Changer program is gone and EA has a new one where anyone can sign up. Ubisoft also has a creator program and you can request a code. I didn't have to shill to get it, I just requested a code and was lucky enough to get one.

Imma admit, the game looks at least enticing, I like the angle of the underworld of the star wars world. It is a Ubisoft game so it's a good ol 7/10 as usual, mediocre but not garbage. I'll check it out and form my own opinions but its certainly visually stunning I'll give em that. So basically you guys saying: World: pretty but basic, felt immersive and alive on the first look but janky and unfinished if you look closely. Combat: Janky, repetitive, forcing you to use repetitive stealth (which randomly pops you out of it for no reason), only giving you ONE weapon (wtf?), no variation in enemies or missions whatsoever, no progression at all (how is that even a thing in 2024?) Performance: Bad performance, janky, ugly, weird facial expressions taking you out of the immersion. Story/Characters: Even if its an interesting concept (Star Wars Underworld) its still rather basic, dull und not that interesting. Reading that, thats a 3/10 at best, only thing it has going for it is the Star Wars theme. How you giving it a 7/10 I dont understand tbh.

Yes my problem with dead-eye is it always takes multiple shots to take down each character (on hard) but dead-eye super-powers the gun to one shot. And there’s no audio-visual indication that the shot is more powerful. If dead eye still took at least 2 or 3 shots per dude that would be much less jarring I think. In both RDR games you can one shot enemies in or out of dead shot.

Hi. Nice, even review...and for the most gotta say I agree. I'm enjoying it a lot but I'm definitely taking my time on the first planet and some of the stealth imperial missions I find can be a real pain in the arse to path through, especially where you're getting that damned book-keeper off the Imp ship...man that annoyed the bejesus out of me. My biggest gripe is the control stick for the ship being reversed on the default setting. I have to change from default to southpaw every time I go from on foot to ship and vice versa. Just need an option to set a control sytle for flight and on foot separately.

The difference with Mass Effect as im big fan of the games is even when the gameplay and mechanics wasnt there the writing and character excelled enough to overshadow. Some games the mechanics are good enough to supplement lesser writing for example Star Wars Jedi Academy/Outcast.

To be fair, while the comments are hyperbolic, it’s definitely wise to wait for non sponsored/ early access reviews to come out. Influencers are never bias free when it comes to these kinda deals, they help their channels immensely and are at risk of losing these sponsorships if their reviews are too negative. I enjoy the discussion review style of the back and forth by the way. It's a nice getting two opinions and just having a conversation about him. Anywho I gave up and have zero faith in Ubisoft since they fucked up assassin's Creed storyline by just killing off Desmond for no fucking reason. And they seem to stop giving a shit about fucking video games years ago. Plus this game does not look fun I'm not playing Star wars games to play female Han Solo I'm here to play with the damn lightsaber. So I don't see the point and I don't trust Ubisoft to put out a decent game. The stealth system where you get caught and start over is only on select missions. If you are on an imperial space station and get caught you would die... thus if you get caught they make you replay the checkpoint. You can go guns blazing on most missions and all the open world stuff.

I have played a lot of Ubisoft games. Specially both division ganes that are from massive the same studio who create outlaws. I was watching live gameplay on twitch and for me it looked like they slapped the AC formula of stealth with random shooting whey you fail at stealth mixed with the star wars aesthetic. It could be still fun gane but im not crazy over this. I already know how it is.

Did Ubisoft really pay off that many KZbinrs to push positive reviews for this game? I've found more honest and fair critiques on TikTok than anything on KZbin. Space Exploration is Bad: The space exploration mechanics are poorly executed and lack depth. Shooting Mechanics are Bad: The shooting feels clunky and unrefined, making combat less enjoyable. Spawn Points are Bad: Spawn points are frustratingly placed, leading to repetitive and unfair encounters. Explosions and Effects are Bad: Visual effects, including explosions, lack impact and polish, failing to immerse the player. AI is Bad: The AI is disappointingly weak, making enemies easy to predict and defeat. Weapons are Bad and Boring: The weapons are uninspired and offer little variety, leading to monotonous combat. Lockpick Minigame is Boring: The lockpicking minigame is so tedious that reviewers openly admit to bypassing it using accessibility options. @@fraktux Hey, it's your choice to spend your money how you like, but let's be real-this game is nowhere near worth the $70, $100, or $140 they're asking (do you really believe this game is twice as good as God of War? be real man). Being a Ubisoft title, the price will likely drop within six months anyway. Almost every credible reviewer is giving this game mixed reviews, except for those who seem to have been paid by Ubisoft to bump up the score. I mean, one guy literally starts his video by thanking Ubisoft for flying him there to test the game. If you're not critical and prefer to focus on the "bright side of things," that's fine; it's definitely a happier way to live. Just keep in mind, you might end up paying gold prices for something that's more like coal, I`m fine with that, as a salesman I get a bigger bonus at the end of the year, so I want people like you around :).

So after watching your video, the title is a bit misleading, and I see why people are getting uspet. Maybe change it to something along the lines of "we were wrong about the wrong things." For me it's a 5/10 game. The stealth and combat looks and feels bad which is a deal breaker. I actually stopped playing after about 10 hrs and will probably not continue playing. Terrible performance on the Ps5 as well

I strongly disagree with the Mass Effect 1 reference. I get what you mean, but those do not compare. Mass Effect 1 had amazing story, characters and world building. Only it's combat loop truly felt lackluster. This has great world design but horrible story and characters on top of shallow gameplay. They nailed the environment but oh boy do the characters reek of Disney Star Wars writing...

I gave the game a 6.8 out of 10. I expected a 4 out of 10 and got close to a 7 out of 10 game. Thus, I was surprised. If this game was a college essay I gave it a D+. Good on you guys but I’m honestly surprised how many people thought this would be so sub par when Massive had just made one of the most awarded games of the last couple of years with Avatar and developed Division and Division2. Whether you like those games is obviously subjective but all of Massive’s games are objectively technically impressive. 2 immersion breaking features are; Human faces and; Absolutely no one, not one single person in the entire galaxy wears sexy clothes. Kay is very young and finding her way and we’re not even delving in to that side of her so when she just looks sharp in Lando’s clothes but not sexy I think that’s cool. But in every movie, book and comic there are sexy, attractively and even provocatively dressed people. Just like IRL. But in Outlaws even in nightclubs everyone dresses in frumpy clothes. Very weird. But a great game otherwise imho.
