i saw Star Wars- Episode I: The Phantom Menace on this day at the 1:30p show at the Sam Eric Theater in Philadelphia. i cut school early in the day to go. it was the greatest movie experience i've ever had. i went on to see Ep 1 four more times summer 1999. it remains one of my all time favorite films. John was wrong.

now, back in 2012, they re released Phantom Menace in 3D. my mother said when she'd seen all the other movies on the big screen that I was missing out. and I was. totally, but when her and I saw PM in 3D, it was the greatest movie experience ever. we ignored Jar Jar, and Jake loyd, and it was so awesome, one moment I wish I could relive

Not everyone who sticks up for those movies are in denial I enjoyed episode 1 it's my favorite of the prequels. The time for episode one was when the best times in my life hype was amazing I was 19 years old so don't say you were a kid you didn't know any better

My cousin, Stephen, is standing to my left in the video (wearing sunglasses). I was supposed to interview him, but I got so swept up in the moment of doing a live news report that I forgot to ask him for his reaction to the film. Whoops. Sorry, Stephen!

I can't believe that year I was 13 years old. in fact, I still watched the 'original trilogy' (not the SE) more even when it's premiered.

I find the irony of this guy talking about human elements being pushed out of frame at 1:30 when he's literally covering up the guy behind him pushing him out of frame.

The Phantom Menace is a very good movie. So far the only issue I have seen is that it seems a little hard to follow for people who don't know how to think. Yes if you take it at face value it WOULD suck. But if you look at the meaning of every action, trade routes? A ploy for the Rise of the Empire. And that is only a hint. You guys hating on the Phantom Menace have not SEEN the Phantom Menace! Because you were to leisure to follow the story arc! If you truly watch it you will find it makes Star Wars proud!

Parallels to the new release
@sirclassicalhou36505 жыл бұрын
Well, anytime a new Star Wars film is released after the original trilogy, there will always be some criticism, even if it is generally well-received by viewers or genuinely enjoyable. Same goes for any other film series; fans tend to be wary of the latest installment.

There not acting. People loved it at first. Then people started complaining about Binks, then Kid Vader, then the 2 headed pod race announcer, then the pod race itself, then Padme's makeup. And on & on & on & on.It just snowballed.
