With the appearance of the darksaber, elements of the clone wars and rebels are starting to leak into live action

Great reaction! 😊 Perfect timing for posting this episode reaction. Today is the 4 year anniversary of this episode. 💚 RIP to the droid IG-11! Sacrificing himself so that Mando, Baby Yoda, Cara Dune, and Greef Karga can all get to safety. This is easily one of my top favorite episodes of the show so far. That ending is epic on so many levels. We get to see Mando and Baby Yoda go off on their adventure to find a Jedi. And we get to see Moff Gideon with the Darksaber(for the first time in live action). Not sure how far into your recording you are on season two. But don't forget to watch "The Book of Boba Fett" before starting season 3. I'm so excited for the start of your season two reactions. That season is so EPIC! Looking forward to your next reaction for this and "Loki". 😊

Din was saved by the Death Watch (the Mandalorian from the flashback has their symbol). It certainly takes place before Maul took over because they changed the color of their armor from blue to red. I suspect this is after Satine forced Vizsla to flee Concordia, and the Death Watch became a group of mercenaries (perhaps just before the Ahsoka and Lux episode because the droids were destroyed there). There's a theory that the Armorer is Rook Kast, Maul's right hand in the Clone Wars and a rival of Bo-Katan. We don't know what happened to her after Maul lost control of Mandalore. Perhaps she became so radicalized that she became the leader of a cult.

When you first see the Armorer fight, it is a big surprise but then you realize that a blacksmith has to be extremely strong and tough and she works with besker, one of the toughest metals in the Star Wars universe. Plus she has the utter devotion and respect of an entire cult of fanatical warriors who tend to follow the toughest person around.

First Comment today! The title Moff is that of a regional, or Sector, Governor. There were twenty Moffs during the Age of the Empire, making it quite the exclusive rank to hold. A sort of Country Club for regional administrators. The title was created during the final days of the Clone Wars and was mentioned in a deleated scene from Revenge of the Sith. The power a Moff had was immense: he or she had control over the entite sector's local armed forces including: the Imperial Stormtrooper corps, the Imperial Army, the Imperial Navy, their respective Intelligence agencies and of course, the Imperial Security Bearau.

You do not know Miff Gideon. This was his first appearance, and he was never mentioned once in Rebels. However, there are more than a few gaps we can use out imagination to fill. Back in season four, you remember Gar Saxon and his brother? They were the Mandalorian governors under Imperial rule. You also remember that Sabine went to the imperial Academy on Mandalore. Gideon was a member of the ISB just like Kallus was. After the Saxons were defeated and Bo led her little uprising, The Emperor ordered Gideon to take full military control of Mandalore. The result well, there’s a reason why Mandalorians didn’t fight for the Rebellion during the Civil War. And “the night of 1000 tears”, was more than just a few hundred young cadets being slaughtered by E-Webs.

Moff: Pretty much the highest military rank in the Empire, second only to Grand Moff. Was first used thousands of years ago in the ancient Sith Empire. Palpatine brought it back into use when he became Emperor.

I know this is 2 months later But here's a Small bit of behind the scenes of this episode and the majority of the people in the storm. Trooper armor in the Courtyard are members of a fan community called the 501st legion They have members all over the world. The 2 biggest thing that they do Is cause playing Star Wars characters. The 501st members mainly create Storm Troopers cosplay armor but a few of them do other characters as well. Like Mandalorians armor, phase 1 or 2 Clone Troopers armor, Sand Troopers armor, Snow Troopers armor, and Imperial Officers uniforms that Started as a hobby. But then to dressing up in their costumes in other to participating in charity events for their local communities like going to Children's hospitals and entertaining the kids. I believe it was back in 2012 that they participated in the Rose bowl who parade in california on the behest of Lucas films. The were contacted by the creators of the Mandolorian when the creators found that they didn't have the money to create so many Storm Trooper armor sets for this episode and the next then someone got the idea of contacting the 501st and they jumped up the chance.

The reason that the Mandalorians consider the Jedi to be enemy sorcorers is because of the Mandalorian Wars back in the time of the Old Republic, roughly 4000 BBY. I don't want to spoil the why for you, but if you want to know more, I would highly look into the stories surrounding the Knights of the Old Republic video games. it's some of the best and enthralling storytelling in the SW universe

I also have to keep reminding myself that the Jedi were probably rarely spoken of out of fear and so in turn those who grew up under the Empire would have no idea what they truly were.

@@thatnerdtara in perspective during the height of the Clone Wars roughly 10,000 Jedi knights across the galaxy. And we know there are thousands of planets in the galaxy. That means over 1 billion people for every one Jedi, most people in the galaxy during the height of the Clone Wars never even saw one. And in less than three years they’re completely wiped out. All that’s left of the Jedi stories and legends about wars fight thousands of years ago.

Hi Tara! General question: Do you style your hair before each reaction video? Put make-up on etc... ? Do you find you need to set a social norm and expectattions are important for viewers watching you too. Just wondering
@thatnerdtara4 күн бұрын
I wear makeup. How much depends on my mood for the day. Commentors have no problem telling me when I'm wearing too much 😅 I rarely style my hair. I don't do all of that because I feel like I have to, I do it because I want to. I just love makeup in general, have a lot of products, and love trying out new looks. I also hate looking at myself on camera while I'm editing, so I feel better when I have makeup on? But again...it's really more for me than anyone else 😁

There are basically two types of Mandalorians: “true” Mandalorians like Satine, her sister, Bo-Katan, Pre Visla, etc., and those like Din Djarin, or Jango Fett, etc. that were found and adopted into a clan. Also, Mandalorians and Jedi have almost always been against each other, since Mandalorians LOVE to fight, so through pretty much their entire history, they’ve been fighting amongst themselves and going out into the galaxy to fight other species. So, the Jedi would naturally be opposed to them most of the time. And, as you said on another comment, Palpatine worked REALLY HARD to wipe the Jedi from everyone’s minds, so that’s why Din didn’t really know who/what they were.

emplacement Weapon or “E-WEB” is a heavy repeating Blaster cannon. Snow troopers assembled one while trying to bring down the Falcon at the battle of Hoth. Those familiar with the multitude of Star Wars games should know how much of a pain in the ass they were in The Force Unleashed and Shadows of the Empire.

13:30 - No spoilers..... BUT..... think back a little. Rebels ended (minus the epilogue) just prior to Rogue One/A New Hope, which was (at THIS point in time), 9 years ago. A lot can happen in 9 years.
