Got some character details in here for ya: Unfortunately Gregor has been through a lot - both mentally and physically. Which is why he carries himself the way you see now. He has PTSD from the loss of his squad in a crash - and many others in a devastating battle, got his head smacked hard enough to give him amnesia AND got caught in a huge explosion that he definitely only survived due to his strong and bulky commando armor. Also a couple nice details on him in this show is the symbol of the diner he worked at is on the front of his tanktop, and he also still has his right forearm gauntlet from his old armor. I would've loved to see a fully armored clone commando kick stormtrooper butts, but that armor likely didn't survive the big blast so I'll just be thankful he's even here at all :) Regarding Commander Wolffe, he was Plo Koon's clone commander. He was seen many times in TCW (just look him up in google images and you'll recognize him immediately). The best moments he had imo were when R2D2 and C3PO went on those wacky and unbelievable adventures, and they would annoy him by telling him all about their crazy tales whenever they ran into each other. There was an amazing opportunity to have that happen again here in Rebels since we've now seen both characters in the show, but alas, it does not happen. I mean come on...Wolffe's almost flabbergasted reaction to seeing those two droids again on a separatist ship in a completely different star system - then getting annoyed by stories again while also baffled at the same time was great! Now imagine the reaction Wolffe would get by this show by running into them again (14 years-ish later). It would be priceless, all I'm gonna say.

I will say Bad Batch is a "Clone centric " series that shows the adjustments they went through as the Republic shifted to the Empire.

Last time we heard 7567 was on Umbara. As Pong Krell routinely used the numbers of the clones instead of their names. Wolfe was the leader of the Wolf Pack, the men of Plo Koon's battalions. Yes that is the commando Gregor from the Droid arc of season 5. All 4 of those men have PTSD and it's not surprising.

Great catch, on what I too, am sure, is a nod to the GREAT, Hayao Miyazaki and Howl's Moving Castle, however there was another nod that you may have missed, as it wasn't mentioned in the video, though that may be just due to editing. The second nod is to Spielberg and Jaws, with the music, scene and a few background references, all paying homage to the iconic film and director.

I love this episodes attention to detail and respect for clone wars era stuff! 6:51 - Two details here. The rifle the clones use in this is one of the most common weapons they used in both the prequels and TCW, named "DC-15a". Second detail is blaster bolt colors. Clones always fired blue blaster bolts (because good guys), while stormtrooper always fired red bolts (because bad guys). Obviously the animators stayed faithful to our armored boys in many colors as they still fire blue :) 7:51 - There is a phase 1 clone helmet sitting behind Rex on a counter. Those helmets were no longer in use past the first half of the clone war (I'm sure you remember them from the earlier seasons) 10:10 - Zeb isn't just using any staff and backpack. He is wielding a Magnaguard staff, General Grevious' personal droid bodyguards seen in both TCW and ROTS. The backpack he is wearing is a clone backpack, only seen in TCW, and the same type that Ahsoka and Anakin put Jabba's son in in TCW movie.

They're aging at twice the speed we do, so if Rex, Wolffe and Gregor are 30 years old here, physically they're actually 60

16:31 Master Plo: Wolffe, keep the communication signal alive. It is our only chance someone will find us.
