In the epilogue scene they mention that Rex fought in the battle of Endor. If you pay close attention while watching ROTJ, you can see a older man that was a part of the Rebel group on Endor who is wearing almost exactly the same outfit as Rex is during the finale. Great video 🎉

They retconned Return of the Jedi in Rebels to make Rex look like the actor in the film. The character was originally known as Nik Sant or "Gramps" according to the Wookiepedia.

when they try to get back into that shield bunker and Han Solo comes out and taps the storm trooper on the shoulder to make him chase him,, they run around the corner right into , Rex wasn't planned, but it fits. It's a part of Star Wars. That's karma meant to be.

@@bemasaberwyn55I think he was trying to appease the fans that were upset that their Santa Claus pun character got retconned but for all of us Rebels fans I think it's safe to assume that it's Rex. And there's nothing wrong with that if the older fans don't want it to be retconned they don't have see it that way. I think that's the biggest part of Storytelling is the individuals interpretation.

"Rebels" is an underappreciated gem. It has some of the most crucial episodes through all of Star Wars. It is pure fun and excitement! In the beginning I couldn't really get into the characters, but that changed quickly. And that shows great writing., Oh, and now "Ahsoka". But you'll already do that. ^^

Like you I'm upset the journey is over. I was so excited for you to start Rebels when you were finishing TCW, and that really doesn't feel that long ago. This finale is perfect, and S4 of Rebels is such an emotional ride and truly is peak Star Wars. Ezra's final lesson about sacrifice that he learned from Kanan always gets me to tear up, and him doing the same pose/stance that Kanan does when he died is beautiful (it's like poetry, it rhymes ;)). While I'm sad we've finished Rebels, I'm still very excited for Ahsoka reactions. Your TCW and Rebels reactions have always been a highlight of my week and I'm excited for that to continue with Ahsoka and hopefully The Bad Batch afterwards.

First, I hope you will enjoy the Ahsoka series. Remember what the Bendu told Thrawn at the end of Season 3 concerning Thrawn's defeat. Also, we must conclude Governor Pryce was tormenting a pregnant woman in episode "Jedi Knight". What a sadistic creep. On a different note, do you plan on watching Bad Batch any time in 2024? It's not critical and the episodes have admittedly uneven quality levels. That said, the show delves into the clones' lives after the rise of the Empire.

Congratulations! Pre-Clone Wars Season 7 this was my favorite Star Wars show series finale. Just loved the eclectic group of characters (Jedi, Mandalorians, pirates, aging clone troopers, ex Imperials, etc.) that came together to save Lothal. And as much as I love Thrawn I liked how Ezra removed him from the game board by pulling a move that Thrawn couldn't have possibly predicted. I didn't care for Rebels that much at the beginning but over time it did grow on me and I loved how it brought a few Clone Wars arcs to a close, used a ton of old Ralph McQuarrie concept art and in general explored the Star Wars galaxy in some new ways. Can't wait for Ahsoka reactions!

It's my opinion that this show is 4 seasons of immaculate storytelling. Ik people say seasons 1 and 2 are "filler heavy" but I've never seen it. From having two beloved Star Wars droids show up in this Show's second episode to them stealing the Tie Fighter to Chopper leaving the group so that he can appropriate an ambulatory strut to them coming across a pod of space whales...none of it is wasted. And it helps solidify the World building with this particular group of characters. So that by the time Ezra finds a familiar voice in a temple, you're hooked. By the time A Familiar set of montrails shows up a few episodes later you scream. By the time that you reach this point you've been crushed by how invested you are in these characters in their victories as well as their crushing defeats. That is the magic of this show. And that is why so many of us fans view this series as one of the best written that Dave has ever done. That's also why of the cult following of the show many of us get fairly hostile when people say that they've never seen it because it's too kid-oriented. And why Rebels fans will say that this is an underrated show. So glad we were able to watch you experience these highs and lows with us

Whatta ride, huh Jess?! This show, centering it around completely original characters, while dropping in the occasional Legacy character here and there, then immersing in blends of JW's classic score and OT sound effects, captured the fun and hopeful journey that GL started back on May 4, 1977.

I so proud of Ezra, his journey from street rat turned padawan to Jedi Knight is pure star wars. This last episode, we saw Ezra applied all he learn from Kanan, all his love for his family and his planet and resisting the temptation. He might not be the most powerful force-wielder or the most skilled with a lightsaber, but he have surely the biggest heart.

I don't know if it were true or not, but legend has it there was debate about what Hera would tell Kanan atop that fuel tank in Jedi Night. It's entirely possible the line was going to be "I'm pregnant". I think it would have added more weight to the sacrifice, but at the same time it was a hell of a bomb to drop on us in the finale. And now you're ready for season 5. "There are FOUR seasons!" No, there are five.

Excited that you've seen the Rebels finale and excited for you to see what the Ahsoka show has in store. I'm not gonna talk about Ahsoka for spoiler reasons, but I will say a few things as sort of a wrap up for Rebels. the Purgill taking Thrawn and Ezra in the Star Destroyer is the fulfillment of Bendu's prophecy to Thrawn. I don't recall the exact wording of the prophecy, but it's something to the effect of "your defeat will come when you are embraced by tentacles". Rebels ends in the same year that a New Hope takes place, and the little epilogue thing by Sabine is about 5 years later, about a year or so since the end of Return of the Jedi and about 4 or so years before the beginning of Mandalorian. in Return of the Jedi during the battle of Endor there is an older man with white facial hair that is part of Leia's team on the planet, it's widely believed by fans that that man is Rex, however I don't recall if anything has officially been said about that being the case or not.

Some people who are more into violence and revenge said that the rebels should have killed Rukh earlier when they had the chance. But think of the consequence then. Rukh was helpful for Thrawn at first here, because he disabled the planetary shield and informed his master. If this didn't happen, Thrawn would have had nothing on his hand to stop the rebels here and he would have no other option but to retreat. Obviously, this would have saved some more lifes on Lothal first. But Thrawn also would return to the empire and had the chance to play a further role in this war. And let's think about the battles that decided the civil war: Scarif, Javin, Endor, Jakku. All these battles were very close at the end and if there was a brilliant strategist on the imperial side in any of this battles, the fate of the galaxy could have been a much darker one. Rukh brought Thrawn in a favorable position here, so he decided to stay and even let Ezra come to him which gave Ezra the chance to take Thrawn out of this war once and for all. And this could only happen because the rebels spared Rukhs life in one of the previous episode. Everything that happens follows the will of the force.

The Mandelorian starts five years after RTOJ and season 3 is almost 7 years after- and tye Ahsoka series is set after that... So Ezra and Thrawn would have been missing for quite some time. Probably eight nine years. Just for your own listening pleasure, you should REALLY give the audiobook performances of Heir To The Empire a listen. It's where Thrawn was first introduced and follows a different timeline five years after RTOJ where Thrawn returns to menace the OT heroes in a post Empire galaxy.

If you watch Return of the Jedi again, you may be able to find Rex on the ground mission. ;) And the Ghost is among the ships fighting in Rogue One.

The good news for you, sweetheart, is that you don't have to wait 6 or 7 years. You could immediately watch the asoka show. I remember waiting patiently since 2017.😂

Thrawn is very formidable. But he's blind to the Force. It's his greatest weakness. And Thrawn knows it. And he does his best to compensate. But there is only so much anybody can do against the unimaginable.

I was really looking forward to your reaction to the final, and as always, you didn't disappoint. For me, I prefer Rebels to TCW because of how compact and focused it's story is, with how much it focuses on a small select group of characters, and also for it's amazing soundtrack by Kevin Kiner and his sons. I can't wait for your Ahsoka reaction. ♥ 🎉

Bendu to Thrawn: 'I see your defeat. Like many arms surrounding you in a cold embrace." If Kanan died the same day that Hera was captured and tortured by Pryce and Thrawn, then that means Hera was pregnant while being tortured.
