Mon Mothma was also part of some deleted scenes in Revenge of the Sith, (Episode 3) the scenes were about a group of senators, including Baile Organa, Mon Mothma and Padme Amidala, that tried to reach a peaceful end to the Clone wars, essentially creating a budding "rebel" ring inside the Senate.

The Delegation of 2000. Yeah, they were a group of senators who feared (rightly) Palpatine's growing power as Supreme Chancellor. They signed the Petition of 2000, which stated that, since the war's end was nearing, Palpatine should give up the emergency powers he had assumed since the end of the Separatist Crisis, which Anakin Skywalker realized would never happen under this Chancellor. It also specifically denounced the resurrected office of Moff, as it would make the Senate essentially powerless. During the Empire Era, at least 63 of these senators were put under arrest, their fate unknown till today, and many other removed their signatures, fearing the consequences for their worlds and families. However, many of them, like Bail Organa and Mon Mothma, continued their rebellion against the Empire in the shadows.

This is a really, really big episode because of Mon Mothma turning up, and seeing the birth of the Rebel Alliance; and it’s super cool that the Rebel crew (except Kanan, intriguingly) were there and at the centre of it. Also, the ending always makes me tear up: they killed it with the music again in the show with this scene.

This was the return of Genevieve O'Reilly as Mon Mothma who was in Revenge Of The Sith(deleted scenes), Clone Wars and Return Of The Jedi(which turns 40 this month). This was a HUGE step for the timeline

This episode of Rebels takes place in 2 BBY, three years after Andor season 1 which takes place in 5 BBY. Most of Rebels season 1 also takes place in 5 BBY.

Technically you should have already watched Andor, which takes place between Bad Batch and Obi-Wan Kenobi. You'll like it. It's Star Wars for adults. And you'll see some...familiar faces... ;)

No Andor Episode 1 is set 5BBY. So the same time as Rebels. It can be assumed season 2 will take place around this episode. I really hope we se that massacre that Mothma was talking about. It happened two different ways in Legends and Canon.
