Sure, Jude Law's character could have escaped prison, but then he'd be one escaped prisoner without a space ship, surrounded by pirates who, at the very least, want to put him back in prison. They'd probably just kill him this time. Jude Law's character needed a clear way out of the port, like a ship, and then a way to hide from the pirates who would be coming after him. A mythical planet full of treasure that can't be found is a good hiding spot.

Every reactor I've seen asks why Jod (Jude) hasn't gotten out, if he was able to get the key all along. Perhaps he was waiting for someone with a ship, so he could leave? He'd probably be caught before long, it he had no way off the spaceport.

How would he get off/out of the pirate port? Especially b/c it seems like Brutus has control and influence over the place. But what if the founding of At Attin was from when the Old Republic was "a New Republic", and they intentionally isolated a little afterwards The droids there look like nothing else we see in star wars, so it'd make sense if the designs evolved isolated, from the more common styles we know from the earlier periods of the old republic, like all droids up until "present" canon have

his dad is not absent. The man just works a lot. As parents do. An absent father doesn’t show up at school when the kid is in trouble for missing an important test. Absent fathers don’t even know their kids.The kid also listened to his dad when he told him to not be late for school. Why couldn’t he listen when the other kids told him not to press anything? Simply because he’s selfish and wanted an adventure. He knew pressing that button could put all of them at risk, and then lied and said he didn’t touch anything. I’m hoping he learns to take responsibility for getting them stuck out in the middle of nowhere

@elijahrace955 And yet, when his father had the option to spend time with his son by telling him a bedtime story, he said he had work to do. Now, i am not sure if this was the only time he denied his son's request, but if he has done this often, it's clear why his son would behave like that. I get the struggles of being a single parent and not always being there for your son. But his father was not even letting his son explain himself. You can see there is an emotional disconnect between them. In the end, selfish as his son was, it came due to a lack of attention and care.

@ welp he isn’t gonna get any attention from his dad now that he’s lightyears away. His dad probably still taught him the difference between right and wrong. Yet he consistently has made the wrong decisions and not only refuses to take responsibility but seems not really concerned with how badly his best friend wants to go home. He hasn’t apologized or even really shown an ounce of guilt. Just cuz his dad didn’t read him a bedtime story doesn’t mean he gets to endanger 3 other peoples lives.

Jude Law's character could very well be either a Jedi or a Sith. Possibly neither like the Bendu who is just able to use the force in a capacity. Thing is to remember as an important nuance, is that not all Jedi are good and not all Sith are evil. He could very well be a jedi who has embraced the piracy lifestyle. So it is very good that the show only reveals that he can use the force, but leave it up to the imagination if he's lying or not.

Came into this with very low expectations, honestly forgot it was a thing until the reviews started popping up, but they had me right from the beginning with just the right amount of violence and intrigue to keep me interested. My inner 80s baby is losing her mind over all of the Speilbergian cinematography, and Neel is so perfectly precious (never change buddy). My one critique is Jude Law. If he is a Jedi why was he only throwing hands when his crew mutinied? I really need him to be a con man somehow pretending to be a Jedi, cause it makes no sense that he was waiting around for a bunch of kids to break out. He could’ve Jedi mind-tricked some pirates and stolen their ship at anytime.
