I could be overthinking it because I’m a dad myself but when Wendle says “Son, you are talking to a level seven System Coordinator” it cuts to Wim and he’s looking up at his dad and it’s like he’s looking at him the same way he looked at Jod when he thought he was a hero. As if to say that you don’t need to be a Jedi or something of that caliber to be a hero to your kids. You just have to be there when they need you.
@BeastlyP1g8 сағат бұрын
100% agree. It’s right after his dad embraced his son’s sense of adventure, so its really great that Wim immediately returns the favor by seeing the value in his dad’s skills.

For me when Wendle said that, I felt it was a Dungeons & Dragons reference. The second version of the Star Wars ttrpg was made by Wizards of the Coast, and used the same mechanics and 3rd edition D&D, with various character classes, going up to 20th. I just LMAO, when he said that. I was like, there has to be some D&D geeks like myself working on this series. 😂

The action figure scene I thought was a nod to space balls - when lord helmet was playing with his action figures. Also, as someone who grew up in suburbia then moved to the city, I felt a theme about our current societal structure. Protective sheltered neighborhoods unexposed to the realities of life.

Not gonna lie, as soon as I saw that blockade runner come in, I started crying bc I felt like if it WASN'T supposed to be Leia, they would have given us a brief shot of who it was coming down the ramp. However, because it isn't shown, and it's just the ship, I feel like this is meant to be an IYKYK moment where they can imply it's Leia and not give us another horrible CGI Leia or a shot of a figure in white whose face we don't see (though that would be cool).

@nikhileshkillada42175 сағат бұрын
Jod's story gives us some idea as to what would have happened to Ezra if he had not found Kanan and the Ghost crew. So much potential and desire to be good but at the end of the day, when hunger strikes and you become desperate, you cross the line and your mind gets corrupted into doing things you'd never fathom doing. And these 4 kids could've met the same fate if they hadn't found a way home. In that regard, even when fuelled by his greed for treasure, Jod did save these kids.
@alive4metal7318 сағат бұрын
So Jod was basically what Ezra could have become if Kanan hadn't found him and stuck around long enough to influence him. A bokken padawan.

"The last message from the Republic said that all Jedi were traitors." They could have received an automated message & have no idea of goings on after Order-66. One would assume the Galactic Chancellor of the Republic would be aware of the location of all Mints, but they could also have been kept secret--locations known by a small few & had automated management similar to the separatist droid army. May not have been weird, especially if Emissaries dropping by was a regular occurrence pre-Galactic Civil War. All that said, if the last message they received was at the time of Ord-66,(19 BBY) then by now it would only have been maybe 30 (~6 or 7 ABY) years without contact?
@sandal_thong5 сағат бұрын
Seems like a goof that they would even get the message, then the person who sent it wouldn't pass the codes for communicating with At Attin to the Emperor. Same if the message was delivered in person: they'd know the coordinates.

About the order 66, i think they didnt have any contact with the chancellor and was just as everyone said lost for thousands of years. And since the 66 was blasted across the galaxy they received the signal (pretty sure the barrier can pass message received cause it wouldnt leak the position like responding would) and since it had been so long, the droid was just happy to hear "the republic" even tough its not the same hes been waiting for. But of course both theories could work i think 🙃

Jude Law did such a fantastic job especially in this episode, suddenly I'm left wanting his backstory and just more of these characters. I hope we get a season 2 - it's fitting that the thing to resurrect Star Wars be something that was made for kids but... with the fans abandoning Disney leading to poor viewership, it might be too little to late.
