I really like what this series did with the clones after order 66. You would expect them all to be completely controlled like droids, but actually they just act like themselves, just now they are working for the empire. It hurts even more seeing these soldiers we've grown to root for fighting for the wrong side.

It reminds me of The Manchurian Candidate. The Clones are their old selves but when Jedi come up they repeat the mantras and believe them. The pre-66 personalities are still in there somewhere.

Howzer's sacrifice is one of the best scenes in the entire show

At least Howzer is still alive throughout the series.

What is most interesting is the small fact that Tech showed Hero how to mask a signal. This very small part of the episode explains a huge "plothole" in Rebels as it was always really strange to me how the Ghost could mask their signal so effectively that no imperial could detect them even it they are scanned as "The Ghost" and more importantly, why not all Rebels had this if it was so easy. The answer is: Hera learned it from probably the single person most effective in this very technic as Tech is the smartest of the Bad Batch (and probably the smartest clone in existence) and at the same time was high amongst the ranks during the Republic Era, which the military of the empire is based on so much that they didn't even change Protocol-Codes when changing into the Empire (remember what Rex said in Rebels). So yeah, Tech would know best how to mask a signal

I am not sure exactly what was canon before Bad batch, but personally I thought many more of the clones would have been like Howzer. I imagined that the mindcontrolling Order 66 was specifically targeted at the jedi and didn't automatically have the clones mindlessly follow everything else the Empire ordered them to do. I also thought that this would have been the most important reason why the Empire switched from the obiously more skilled clones to stormtroopers. Because if the mindcontrol works as good as it so far appears in this series, the clones would be dream soldiers for any dictator.

The problem is that the clones weren't just affected by the "inhibitor chips". They were raised in a pure military training environment. They were psychologically indoctrinated in obeying the orders of their designated superiors. And they were raised, fed, clothed and given purpose as the "Grand Army of the Republic". It's very "human" to bond with your "group" and just stick together. Sadly , that means that when the group is being led towards immoral actions, often the first instinct is not to question the leadership, but to question whether the actions are really immoral or, failing that, just necessary for the preservation of "the group".

No, The Bad Batch was created after Rebels. None of the characters in the Bad Batch are mentioned or show up in Rebels. Their ultimate fates are a mystery right now. And the Clones Hera mentioned are the Clone Army that fought off the CIS in TCW Season 2.

Omega ages like a regular human dude. She wouldn't be the same, she'd be much older. This is evidenced literally by season 2, where she's quite clearly older.
