Here's my theory on why Mundi is in the show now: This show was set 100 years before TPM and we all know the famous line of Mundi in that movie: "the sith hasn't been seen for a millenium" or something like that. But maybe Headland wants to subvert everyone's expectations by having a sith roam a few years before TPM. And she probably thinks it's cool to have the SAME EXACT character who said the Sith hasn't been around for a millennium be around now in the show (Probably to add animosity against the Jedi as being dishonest). But the problem is, she didn't bother to research that MUNDI was born in 93 BBY. The Acolyte was supposed to take place at 132 BBY, meaning he wasn't even born yet! Lol

I don't understand why people are taking the age thing so weirdly. In episode 1 he's the third in command of a monastery of thousands of space monks. He's likely to be very old just to have that job. Yoda is like 900 or something. This guy being about 150 sounds perfectly reasonable. Chewbacca is about 200 isn't he? I'd say Mace Windu being as young as he is is the outlier here. Not this guy being as old as he is
