I wanna rewatch the show and pay attention for unique interactions between the characters. For example in S3E5 when Echo comes back he hugs Omega and Crosshair says "No hug for me?". Echo responds with "Depends on how good your intel is" and Crosshair then scoffs and looks away almost embarassed. Definitely one of the more friendly and silly lines from Crosshair.

I really loved this episode. There were just a lot of really amazing, interesting and entertaining scenes and moments throughout this episode. I thought that the writing was fantastic and the animation was incredible and beautiful as always and was able to perfectly capture the tone and atmosphere of whatever it was trying to portray. Also the music for this episode was really great, I’m still so glad and grateful that they brought the Kiners back to do this shows score, I can’t wait to get to hear more of the music they have composed for the end of this season and this show as a whole. First of all, I actually found Ramoart to be pretty funny in this episode, whether it was something he said or the way the members of the Batch treated him, I just thought the way they handled him in this episode was done really well. I also really enjoyed all of Rampart’s interactions and moments with the Bad Batch throughout this episode, not only was it cool to see that he actually went along with their plan without even attempting to turn on them. But I just really liked a lot of the dialogue exchanged between him and them, especially Hunter’s line of how the Empire turned on him and it was the Batch that were the ones to break him out. And I loved all of Omega’s scenes with the other prisoner children, I just really liked the way that she was able to connect with and communicate with them and how she was able to inspire hope within them that they all could/would escape. I also really liked the scene where Omega explains to the other children how she was planning on them to escape, I thought it was a really cool and engaging scene. And Omega’s initial escape attempt reminded me of lot of how Cassian started his escape from the prison in the Andor show. I also really loved the scene where Echo had to disable the sensor on the Imperial ship, I thought the entire scene was really tense and done very well. While Echo was sneaking around, I was on the edge of my seat worried that he would get caught and potentially shot (seeing as how this is the end of the show they might start killing off members of the Batch) And I loved how Hunter had complete confidence in Echo and knew that he would be able to disable the sensor in time, I just really liked how even though they went down separate paths, Hunter still had faith in his brother. I am so excited to see where the ending of this episode will lead into next week’s episode. Even with this show at it closing point I am still really loving everything about this show and I really hope that they are able to properly stick to landing with these final handful of episodes. I can’t wait to see where this shows ending will take all the characters and this story and where it will lead to next. I am really anticipating next week’s episode and I absolutely cannot wait for it to release!

My pitch for the finale: The Bad Batch unleashes the Zilo Beast and it goes ham on the base. While this is happening, the Bad Batch gets to the vault. The children use the Force on the Zilo Beast and it leaves them alone, before wandering off to enjoy freedom. The Bad Batch and the kids take the corridor out of the vault, but something's wrong. The kids feel cold and afraid. At the end of the corridor, they see a dark figure. A hunched-over old man in a black robe... Darth Sidious. Palpatine now has his turn for a Rouge One scene... Hunter, Crosshair, Echo and Wrecker all fall to him. Palpatine uses the force to drag the children back to his shuttle and leaves. Roll credits

I'm struck by all the beards and different faces among the imperials in this season. Something the animators loved about the Clone Wars is how they were able to copy-paste the clone faces, as well as the clones in armor. But you could see it in crowds of civilians, too. Besides actual speaking characters, they really only had like maybe 10 human faces that they just changed hairstyles and coloring across various episodes. In Rebels and The Bad Batch, they can obviously repeat the stormtrooper character, but not so much with unarmored imperials. They tried to cheat on the imperials in Rebels by having their hats covering their eyes, but it became obvious when one of those repeat-faces became a multi-scene speaking character in Lieutenant Lyste, the imperial that Kallus framed for being Fulcrum. We probably won't ever see that bearded lieutenant that greeted the Batch on their arrival that Wrecker ended up knocking out, but I'm loving that they put so much effort into his rendering.

The rest of the season I mostly enjoyed though! I agree that Cody appearing in only one episode (and not even in this season) is disappointing. I'm starting to fear that the Rex storyline (which really was story B for this entire show) won't get a satisfying resolution.
