The biggest selling point of this game to me was the force abilities, like dear Lord we don't get this kind of power in star wars games anymore and it was just a power trip being able to push away multiple enemies at once and destroy the environment. Yes the game has a lot of issues (looking at you pc port, at least the TFU2 has much better mod support) But for what it's worth it was my kind of god of war back in the day and i can't wait to see your TFU 2 video soon

I remember to slay everything on the PSP version and despite the graphics on the Wii it felt so awesome to do all the attacks like force grabbing and throwing troopers around with the og wii motion controls

People always say galen was ridiculously op, and vader was nerfed. Vader trained galen for 15 years to be a jedi killing assassin who leaves no witnesses. He was starved, tortured, and tormented to fuel his hate and crossed blades with vader countless times. Even fighting him to the point he passed out from exhaustion. He had plenty of time to deduce weaknesses in Vader's form and defenses. The 2 forms he favored were the ones specifically tailored around attack and the other defense, like obi-wan, the guy that bested him prior. He was younger and had something worth fighting for in his love for Juno and making right with the resistance. Vader was jaded and underestimated his apprentice. Galen's speed, lightning, and knowledge of his master's tactics/weaknesses along with Vader's own hubris gave him the win. Palpatine was clearly testing him and holding back. He immediately gets serious upon realizing he can't turn galen in both endings and is unscathed in either. The star destroyer he yanks out of the sky is already damaged and pretty low into orbit. The feats are all still impressive. Just not as "unbelievable" as everyone wants them to be. Especially when the 2003 clones wars exist. Mace Windu and Yoda were downright decimating wave after wave of droids. Still had an easier time believing the stuff in force unleashed over the sequel trilogy, lol.

On top of that. He has access to the full range of the force not just dark side. and vader is also incredibly weak to lightning and intentionally made badly to be weak to it.(palpatine is a douchebag)

Not to mention, born a force sensitive and "adopted" by Vader as his surrogate son, so the OP is true, but far from it. Vader could have violently destroyed him, for Vader has years of true suffering before the suit. Starkiller went from perfect son to typical son after meeting Juno and being betrayed. Starkiller is a man of increasing factors.

This was canon when it came out out, but now it is apart of Star Wars Legends unfortunately like the KOTOR games, this games ending for many years was the canon answer to how the rebel alliance was formed before the Disney acquisition, and before Rouge One. I like how they gave an origin to the rebel alliance emblem, that being Galen Mareks family crest. This is definitely one of the best Star Wars games of all time. We need a Starkiller movie one day💯😤

I really want them to continue making these games. I love the play style. The physics effects is something that I can just jump into & play for hrs over and over and if they could take the base foundation of these gameplay mechanics, physics effects, and build off of that with a diversity of platforming, puzzle solving, engaging exploration where you can gather, collect things that tie into you solving things or open up area's. Greatly expand upon the story and world building. Maybe even a bit of customization of different styles, weapons, outfits, movement, combat. This game has so much potential!

This game is literally the only reason why I don´t like Jedi Survivor. Having more force users apart from Luke and Vader in that time just feels like a motive assesination, but it feels like if you were in a fanfiction and that just feels cool for a fantasy power game. And the gameplay was just that fun... in the Jedi games, everything feels so... slow... and meaningless, because you tried hard to lovate force users, but you already know what was gonna be the outcome. Your´e not gonna change anything, Luke is gonna do it.

One thing to note, George Lucas did make a statement regarding this game games canon, seeing as he helped write it. Back when the game came out George said while the Dark Side ending is not canon to the movies, the lightside ending is. Or something along those lines.

Loved this game back then. I still love it now. It’s fight scenes and cutscenes live rent free in my head. The music. Man don’t even get me started. You can feel like a God in this game. I love it, it's still fun as hell to play. Dlc is a lot of fun and the story is good. Starkiller is simply one of the best star wars characters ever. Needs to be Canon, he is beyond bad ass. 1 is much better than 2 imo combat in 2 is fun but it's super short and the story is just pretty ok.

You MUST try the PS2 version, it offers so many more force abilities your face will melt. It's an entirely different (better) game! Edit: the levels are also vastly different. You get to visit the Jedi Temple for 3 or 4 times, I'm almost certain no other version includes these levels

Fallen order and survivor are great, you're missing out. They're different games but amazing. I'd say that Kotor (1&2), Survivor, FO, battlefront 2005, jedi academy where the best. Tfu was good too

It's definitely worth buying or downloading if you know where to look, and there's a 61FPS Unlocked EXE that makes it really smooth to play and no physics issues. Still really hoping a third game is eventually made somehow. They referenced it in the Kenobi show (a hilt very similar to Galen's) plus in Andor they had right in-your-face the Sith Stalker armour. Plus Vader grabbed that starship.

1:22 thats not the case. It is canon, but for the old canon only. You have TFU comics and novels that show the same story more realistic. For Disney canon, nothing is canon that was released prior to 2014.

The PS2 version that’s also the Wii and Switch version had a better story and levels since the og creators are the ones that made it. The story was edgy and the powers were insane. The new Jedi games are laughable to me.

I LOVED LOVED LOVED both SW:TFU 1 & 2 as a kid, and that was with only playing the crappy PC versions. A lot of it is simple, it is a rather short and sort of insane story, but on the other hand it really was soooo satisfying. I think a lot of Star Wars fans would agree we would rather have Starkiller's story cannon then Episodes 7-9 lmao. I played the old Jedi Knight games as a kid and these games felt like a good successor to those. I bought Jedi Fallen Order a few weeks ago during the Steam Winter sale, and I honestly felt so let down by that game. I don't play a Star Wars Jedi game to solve insane puzzles and figure out what I need with no direction, I am playing a game like this to slice guys in half with my lightsaber and electrocute the living hell out of them, or any other number of force power combos. As someone who played these games in the past and just tried Fallen Order, I am left wanting for an actually GOOD Jedi game and Fallen Order came nowhere near scratching the itch I thought it would.

Awesome game. As for the power level, the Starkiller in the novel, which is the canon (EU canon not Disney "Canon") Force Unleashed story, is quite toned down. Still powerful but significantly more realistic. Vader is NOT an easy fight, he gets the upper hand by the skin of his teeth.

I loved this game as a kid and was hype to show it to my Wife only for both of us to be shocked at how dull it was in hindsight. Very janky level design and God the story is such a fanfic, but the unprecedented Force abilities at the time made it a Gem of a Title to Angsty 12 year old me and I will always love it for that. More than anything I am glad it is noncanon, but I wouldn't be opposed to a Nerfed Starkiller reappearing in some aspect in the new canon.
